My mother has been a resident in Ashley Court for over 3 years now and I and the rest of the family can give nothing but praise for the whole team there. Moving Dad into a care home was a difficult time for our family, but from our first visit we had a good feeling about Blenham House.
We have all been welcomed with open arms, staff are very friendly, approachable, caring and nothing is too much trouble. Dad considers many of them his friends, they
really do go the extra mile.
The property is always well maintained, tidy, clean and homely, food is varied, of good quality and plentiful as he is putting back on the weight he lost through illness.
Dad has settled in, is happy and comfortable, it is a reassuring to know that he is very well looked after by such lovely people, we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Blenham House.
Reply from Julie Kennedy, Marketing Manager at Blenham HouseIt is so pleasing to hear that you all feel so welcomed, and your Dad has settled well, enjoying the environment and meals. This will provide you with such reassurance so thank you for your feedback and recommendation.

My Dad moved to Blenham House a month ago. He has been treated kindly and with respect and the staff including The Senior Manager have made it a priority to make sure he settled in and feels comfortable. He advised me today he thinks the Care Home very good and he is happy. This is like music to my
ears. His feedback could not be better.
His room and en suite are well furnished and clean. The nursing, care and cleaning processes are good and there is a good relationship with The GP Surgery situated not far away which means that medical attention can be swift if needed. Food is lovely.
Overall I would say this Care Home is a great find and as the daughter of my Dear Dad I am happy he is being looked after after at Blenham House Care Home.

My mum has been cared for since last year and I could not be happier with the time and attention she receives. The staff are kind, caring and friendly. My mum (who has dementia) is settled and happy and considers Blenheim her home. This means so much to me. I was very concerned when she had to go into
care and worried a lot about her safety and happiness. The staff at Blenheim have taken wonderful care of her. Thank you.

My mum recently left us after two and a half years living in Fidra. From admission to end of her life every single member of Fidra staff were excellent and were focused on making each day as it could be for my mum. As her dementia got worse this got hard. But all of the staff did this maintaining mum's
dignity and respect. They continued to see her as an individual with a disease and helped us understand her disease and gave us support and insight to best help mum. The garden, activities, food and reception staff are brilliant. A special thank you to the staff on The Law Floor who showed such care and humanity to mum as she became more confused. I couldn't have asked for better.
Reply from Julie Kennedy, Marketing Manager at Fidra HouseWe are so sorry for your loss, and appreciate you providing feedback at such a difficult time. In her 90s my mum is a resident at this home. It really is amazing.
She is well looked after, her room is clean and the staff are excellent.
The staff are courteous and look after my mum in a kind and gentle way.
The management create well thought out initiatives to maintain and improve the high
standard.
One of them is the recently created new role which is Carer and Hospitality Liaison which is being championed and pioneered by Joanne F. This is a multifaceted role but is essentially: 1 Making sure that all the ongoing things that need attended to for the residents are attended. 2 Ensuring that good practice in one area is migrated to other areas, 3 Actively working to make the residents experience in the home as good as is practically, and 4, Encouraging and supporting all the staff in maintaining a professional high standard.
If there is something needing done Joanne can pick up the ball and run with it. If not in her remit she will find whose remit it is. Joanne is doing great!
Reply from Julie Kennedy, Marketing Manager at Kirk Lane HomeIt is so good to hear that you feel that your mum is so well looked after. Thank you for your review and your special mention to the Carer and Hospitality Liaison, and the benefits that this brings. This feedback really helps us shape future service at our home. Many thanks.

Kirk Lane has been home to my mum for 16 months now. It is so reassuring to walk into such a pleasant welcoming home. All the staff are amazing, friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Although it was a difficult decision to make for my mum, we couldn't be happier that she is being cared
for so well and this gives us peace of mind.
The addition of the Care Hospitality Liaison member of staff is such an asset to the team. She recently attended A&E with my mum following a fall and stayed with her until I arrived. She makes sure any issues the residents and families have are all addressed and are listened to as well as making sure they are doing things they love to do. To have someone doing this is so helpful over an above the caring staff.

My mum arrived at Ashley Court some months ago, and I guess like many families I had some reservations about my mum being in a care home. I needn't have worried!
The family have been delighted with all aspects of Ashley Court. In particular, the management and staff. The care and attention has been

In all honesty, I have to say that Kirk Lane is one of the nicest I have been in. All the staff were extremely helpful & very professional. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed & answered all questions

Fidra House

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My brother was cared for in Fidra for over 3 years, principally because of physical health issues and the need for personal care. During his time there the staff treated him with respect, kindness and dignity. What really made the difference was that staff took time to understand him as the person he
had been before being so unwell, and could tap into his interests with shared banter and laughter. In the few weeks before he died it was particularly difficult for him, and the family. The staff responded to our queries and concerns with patience and professionalism, and worked well with the local community health teams to ensure he could stay in Fidra rather then go through the discomfort and upheaval of a hospital admission. We couldn't have asked for more.
Reply from Brodie Nichol, Director at Fidra HouseThank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback. We are truly touched to hear your kind words about the care and support your brother received during his time at Fidra. It means a great deal to know that the team were able to provide comfort, dignity and understanding both to him and to your family. Your appreciation will be shared with everyone involved. Best wishes.

The home is always a very clean, cheerful and welcoming environment for it's residents and their families. Specialist staff encourage residents daily participation in a wide variety of stimulating activities including visiting musician performances and daytrips out in their minibus. Staff are kind and
patient in caring for my father who has vascular dementia and always taken an interest in his wellbeing.
