After viewing many care homes, as soon as we walked into Hurst Park Court the feeling was one of home. Our mother settled in and was treated as ‘one of the family’ as were we, which helped us to hand over her care to the staff. Visits from schools, baking and artwork are some of the activities and the
singalongs are precious!
The staff have a wonderful, caring and loving relationship with the residents and my mum loved each and every one of them! Thank you.

I would like to send a massive thank you to the manager and all her staff for the last 10 months of my dad's life.
Hurst Park Court restored our faith in an uncertain care system. His time at the home has been full of laughter, love, care and devotion from this lovely establishment. Dad passed away
peacefully in the early hours on the 18th of March. It was sudden and unexpected.
I saw the shock on the faces of staff coming onto shift as I waited for family to arrive but how grateful where we that he didn’t have to endure being sent off to hospital and not only did the staff treat him with respect and dignity throughout that night into morning but they were truly fabulous to us as a family.
We will never forget your kindness and on behalf of all of our family, we wish you all every health, wealth and happiness in the world. I would not hesitate to recommend Hurst Part Court to anybody that has to make this difficult decision to put their loved ones into care. Thank you all so much.

The care home manager and staff are excellent and have given us peace of mind regarding our Aunty's care. Her needs are always their priority to make her comfortable and settled. They go above and beyond with facilities provided, even having someone come to do her hair. My Aunty has gained weight and
is very contented. Amazing care home!

myself. Would highly recommend this home to others, lovely place and wonderful staff.

My mother was moved from another care home to Hurst Park and it was the best move ever. The quality of care in Hurst Park is fantastic compared to the previous home. She is very happy now and you can see by her smiling face every time I visit she is very happy for the first time in a long time.

My mum has now been in Hurst Park Court for three years. In that time mum has been given the most wonderful caring support by the manager and her staff team. The manager and her staff never fail to make sure all my mum's needs are met. At no time have I visited mum and had any concerns regarding how
mum is being cared for. I am confident that the decision to put mum in Hurst Park Court was the right one. I have nothing but praise for how the manager and her staff care for my mum.

It was one of the most difficult decisions we have ever had to make putting our much loved father into care. Hurst Park Court eased the transition and his care since arrival five months ago has been fantastic. residents are treated with respect and dignity. My father is happy and content what more could
we ask (apart from more efficient laundry system!!) Highly recommended. Thank you

My mother in law has lived at Hurst Park Court for a number of years. I am happy with the care she receives. She has lived in other care homes but we were always very concerned about how she was treated. We love how good the staff are and are always very attentive.

Since Hurst Park Court was taken over, the care (which has always been good) has become excellent. My mother was unsettled in previous care homes. She is happy, there is continuity, clothes don't go missing, staff are friendly and professional. I am very happy with the care provided.

I am so impressed with the loving care and attention the residents receive from the staff, the cleanliness and comfort is 100% and the food is first class. This is a care home of excellence for anyone to enter your loved one into. I cannot praise them enough. Peace of mind is what you leave with after
leaving a loved one.

A good care home, offering decent food and a nice environment. In need of some refurbishment in the main lounge (furniture and carpets are looking a little well used now).
The bedrooms are adequate and ensuite bathrooms are good.
Laundry service is particularly poor and staff are very busy. There
never seems to be much stimulation or one to one attention for residents but staff are lovely - just not enough of them.

Hurst Park Court gave my precious Mother the most wonderful care we could ask for. She arrived there 3 years ago at a very low ebb and they managed to extend her life by providing her with love and comprehensive care in a lovely environment. Nothing was too much trouble for them and my Mother felt happy,
safe and well cared for. Sadly she passed away in December 2016 due to advanced dementia, but I have to say her being happy right until the very end meant everything to her and to our family. I cannot praise this home, its staff and the manager enough ... and not forgetting the activities co-ordinator, for leading a brilliant activities programme and organising parties reminiscent of family parties. We so enjoyed those! I would highly recommend this home to anyone as were so lucky to have found it
I would like others to know about it. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done and for the privilege of knowing you.

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.384)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.384) out of 10 for Hurst Park Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 15 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.534 for Hurst Park Court is calculated as follows: ( (126 Excellents x 5) + (33 Goods x 4) + (9 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (7 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 176 Ratings = 4.534
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.85 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Hurst Park Court is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.85
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 41 registered maximum number of service users is 8.2, which has been reached with 14 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
