I had my mother in the care Home for palliative care, the care and respect that was given i could not have imagined .The professionalism of the staff the cleanliness of this facility was outstanding. I couldn't have wished for a better place for my mother to be, Nothing was to much trouble and any questions I needed were answered fully. From the staff in reception to the Careers ,Nurses ,Matrons and catering department i would recommend this unit,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your kind words. We are truly honoured that you chose our home to care for your mother during such an important time. It means a great deal to hear that the care, respect and professionalism shown by our team made a positive difference...
Over the 4 months the staff became like friends to us all as a family, they took time getting to know her & her likes and dislikes & listened to her. When mum's time was coming to an end, they supported and guided us through the process. Showing nothing but the highest level of care, comfort, respect & dignity to Mum and empathy to us. They respected mum''s RC faith to the very end & in the way they prepared her after death - something we will never forget. We can never thank all of the staff on the Oscott Floor enough and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Boldmere Court.
thank you for kind words and also for the recent donations to the home, they really helped. it was such a pleasure to look after mum and meet all of your family. I have passed on your lovely comments to oscott unit especially.
They went the extra mile to keep us up-to-date with everything they did.
We would recommend this home.
thank you so much for your kind words. it was so lovely to meet you all even if it was for a short time.
I have found Boldmere Court to be a homely and secure establishment for my brother. He has a pleasant room with en-suite facilities. The staff are friendly and very caring. Although his condition is causing some new challenges, the staff deal with the situation with kindness and dignity. I am confidence that he is safe and well cared for, The management have a personal interest in their residents and for their well-being.
After our father's sudden fall, he was hospitalised and paralysed. Soon after, he was diagnosed with aggressive cancer. He asked that we, his sons, be fully informed and explain his care to him. Though unaware he was nearing the end, he wanted us constantly by his side.
Honouring that wish was exhausting, but we were determined. When he moved to Boldmere Court Care Home, we were welcomed as family. From day one, the staff showed genuine compassion and respect - to him and to us.
In his final week, we lived there. Nothing was too much trouble. Their kindness made an unbearable time more bearable. They cared for our father with dignity and love, and extended that same care to us.
We are deeply grateful!
Thankyou, this review means a lot to the staff, who all grew close to both Dad and yourselves. It was an honour and privilege to look after dad.
All the Staff at Boldmere Court are great, really friendly and helpful. They treat the patients with the greatest respect. The Nurses know their jobs well and carry out their duties with full diligence. The home is kept very clean and, from what I have seen, the food and drinks are fine. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone.
My father requested Boldmere Court. Management and staff are all outstanding. Have visited everyday for 6mths and no problems or complaints. Very hard and difficult job to do. Superb nursing home, salute all of them for dedicating their time to this caring. Positive experience and helpful.
Thankyou for your kind words, Boldmere team thank you
Wonderful place. Fantastic staff who really did make my dad's days happy , nothing was too much trouble. My dad always smelt lovely, always clean and hydrated. The staff were so friendly to myself and my dad, they made him giggle everyday. I would highly recommend it here, thank you to everyone who looked after him.
It's a pleasure for the team to support where we can and it's a pleasure to give the good quality care to those that require it we are not a nursing home we are a family.
He's comfortable, clean and always looks peaceful. His room has everything he needs, as we were told to bring his personal items from home like photos, radio and books.
Thank you for your kind words, staff clearly enjoy their role and I'm glad that comes through in practise.
Very friendly and can't do enough to help. Caring and totally on the ball with patients.
Thank you for your kind words, it's always heart warming to see and hear.
Saying all that my wife is very settled and happy there and I have nothing to complain about.
Thank you for your kind words. It's always lovely to hear that our staff are doing well. We do have a new activities team soon so I shall mention your request for music.
A fantastic and warm environment. Made to feel a part of the family. The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They answered all our questions and made us feel so special. Thank you to everyone.
My brother was diagnosed with dementia and after a bout of pneumonia was transferred bed bound to Boldmere Court Care Home for palliative, end of life care. I visited most days to spoon-feed him his dinner to the point where his room became our “den” and the staff (day, night and admin) our adopted family. His G.P. and the staff worked miracles and it’s a testament to their care and attention that he survived a further 5 years. I can’t thank everybody enough and would strongly recommend Boldmere Court.
We were very proud to look after your brother, we as a team loved you all dearly and hope to see you again Thank you for such a lovely review, Paul. Always in our thoughts.
After many years of poor mental health and untold trauma, my mother ultimately succumbed to a dementia diagnosis and was placed in respite initially in a care home local to me. As her health declined, the need for her to remain in care was tangible. During those years, we had the best time, chatting, singing, walking and laughing. Eventually however, her behaviours became too challenging and she was moved to Boldmere Court during lockdown. I knew my mother needed more tailored care but it didn't make it any easier. I felt I had failed. Seeing my mom behind a glass screen during an arranged covid safe visit gave me hope. I knew instinctively she was in the right place. The staff have been nothing short of miraculous in their efforts to care for her. I don't visit these days; it's too hard but that said, I know for a fact my mother gets the chats and singing and laughter with Boldmere Court staff that we used to share together! I thank them from the bottom of my heart! They are angels.
This home delivers excellent care. As a worker who has been here for eleven years, I can proudly say that I have the best team to work with. We support each other like a family. Everyone I work with treats others with care and respect, not only residents but other staff too. The residents are well looked after, cared for and loved like a family. A brilliant home for your relatives.
The staff are very caring and informative. Very satisfied with the care home for our brother. Everyone is very caring, even the girls on reception.
Thankyou for your kind words, its always a pleasure to do our role the best we can and to uphold our roles as nursing home staff to the best expectations as possible.
My mother was given an overdose of medication. Although not fatal we were not informed. Only found out 5 months later from Social Services. The nurse was suspended and then sacked but the point is they tried to cover it up. We are currently taking legal advice.
Everyone became like family to us.
My father only spent a short time at Boldmere Court but the care he was shown, the compassion he was afforded and the dignity with which he spent his last days were above and beyond our expectations. I can't thank the staff enough for ensuring my fathers last days were very comfortable and peaceful.
My mother has been here for 3 weeks and is very comfortable. She is very well cared for. Staff are fantastic. Mom likes the staff and knows them well now. I have seen a change in her since being here. She is less anxious, less angry and a lot more settled. Mom is eating and drinking again since being here.
Thank you.
