My father lived at Church View Care Home for over 8 years, during this time I have felt that my Dad was cared for so well, he always looked well kept and staff clearly cared for him they knew and understood him as a person. My dad loved the food especially a 'full English' every morning. As a family
we were always made to feel welcome and I was kept up to date on how Dad was. Sadly he has now passed away, but even though the 'end of life' the care staff provided was excellent. Thank you all for everything you did for Dad.
Reply from Rohan Patel, Business Manager at Church View Care HomeThank you so much for your kind words and for trusting us to care for your dad over the past 8 years. We are deeply sorry for your loss, and it means a great deal to know that our team made both your dad and your family feel cared for and supported throughout his journey.

My Mum moved to Churchview towards the end of 2025 with complex health and nursing needs. Mum did not want to go into a care home and the move to Churchview has been challenging for everyone. Visiting Churchview at first was emotional, but the consistently calm, welcoming and homely environment placated
any fears. The home is very secure - with the safety and security of residents, the team & visitors well managed. It is spotlessly clean, well maintained and the rooms are cosy and well equipped. There are some wonderful communal areas for all the activities. In my humble opinion, the greatest asset at Churchview is its team. It is clearly apparent that people really do matter here. The person centred care is calm, skilled & professional. Communication is exceptional and we have been involved appropriately at every step. The Beech team are extraordinary - they have shown endless resilience, patience, determination and professionalism. I can't thank or recommend them enough.
Reply from Rohan Patel, Business Manager at Church View Care HomeThank you so much for your kind words and for placing your trust in our team to care for your mum. It means a great deal to us to know that the Beech team and the wider Churchview teams have been able to support both your mum and your family during what we know can be a very emotional transition.

Positive review:
Just wanted to say how I am very impressed with Priya and her team.
My mum is in the Sycamore unit and my visits there are always good.
Everyone is always approachable and friendly.
Priya takes time to talk to all the residents. She has a very caring nature and fully understands
the needs of the residents.
I never feel unimportant when I have any queries or worries regarding my mum.
I am kept up to date with any medical issues etc.
Negative review:
Quite a few times over the week while I was there, I found there were certain issues regarding residents wanting to go to the toilet. Either:
1. They were short staffed and we're doing personal care and couldn't attend to the resident that needed the toilet. It was upsetting to see the resident getting upset.
2. One carer when I asked about taking mum to the toilet, walked away to find someone who was looking after mum that day to take her. Mums carer was busy with another resident. This should be addressed asap
Reply from Rohan Patel, Business Manager at Church View Care HomeThank you for your thoughtful feedback and for recognising Priya and the Sycamore team's hard work - it's truly appreciated. We are sorry to hear about your experience regarding toileting support and will review this with the team to ensure residents' comfort, dignity, and timely assistance are always prioritised.

My mum has been a resident in Church View since October 2025. We had to find her somewhere at very short notice, and the management team were extremely supportive and helpful to our family, at a very difficult time. Mum settled in immediately, The Elm team are great at encouraging creative activities,
which suits my mom. It's a cheery spacious building, her room is bright and airy and she has a good view from her window. Overall the care my mother has received has been excellent, and she has been very well looked after, treated with care and kindness. I would highly recommend, it's always a pleasure to visit

For the short space of time my Mum was a resident in Church View Care Home she received the best care ever. Staff always have a smile on their faces and they are so attentive to the residents needs.
They updated me on how Mum was doing each day. She loved the activities they organised even though
she was not be able to do much they always encouraged the resident to join in. Dancing with the staff was her favourite.
I cannot thank all the staff for all their support and dedication. Thank you all

Our brother was in respite care for three weeks and my sister and I were very impressed with the care our brother received from all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble from advising on his prescriptions, taking receipt of his medications and all times treating him with dignity.

My sister was admitted to Church View only this month. I previously visited & was amazed by the space , the imaginative decoration & the welcome by Clare who showed us round. .
Everything is carefully thought out with a beautiful garden area, with a craft room of all things where residents are encouraged
to use there talents.
A lovely lounge & dinning room with an impressive menu
My sister was previously on end of life so admitted on palative care after suffering a stroke.
Goodness what a mistake!
In two short weeks she is eating again , after fluids only for three months. Trying very hard to walk & speaking clearly. The staff are kind, thoughtful & caring. She loves it there , as I live quite a distance away I have to trust Church View with her care & when she told me she had been making bagels & ducks I was more than delighted.
It may only be two weeks but to us staff have worked with her & given her her life back.
We are extremely grateful & can see a future .
Reply from Rohan Patel, Business Manager at Church View Care HomeThank you so much for your kind and heartfelt message. It truly means a great deal to myself and the whole Church View team. We are delighted that you felt welcomed when you visited and that the environment and activities reflected the care and thought we put into the home. Most importantly, we are so pleased to hear about the incredible progress your sister has made in such a short time. Seeing her eating again, communicating clearly, engaging in activities, and regaining confidence is exactly why our team does what they do.

Thank you again for your trust and your lovely words.

My mum moved to Church View care home a few weeks a go and since her arrival I can not fault the care she has received. The home itself is lovely. Clean, airy and very welcoming. My mum's room is spacious and meets her needs well, and there are lots of activities during the week. The staff have been
lovely and the Manager for her area of the home (Priya) is simply brilliant! She is quick to reply to any questions/concerns, she goes out of her way to advocate for my mother and to support our wider family. She keeps us updated on my mum's progress and I feel incredibly happy to know that my mum is being so well cared for. We are aware that we will have some challenging times ahead with my mother but I feel reassured that we will have the support of the care home to help us through this. The care home has gone above and beyond to ensure we are able to have quality time with my mother as a whole family and I will always be eternally grateful for this. Thank you to all that work there.

I am so pleased with this care home. They have looked after my mother so well that her desire to live life to the fullest has been revived. She is looked after with so much care and warmth, lots of laughter and banter. Staff are so professional. The atmosphere is relaxed. It doesn't feel like a care
home. I highly recommend this place. I enjoy visiting my mother and the activities are great fun for her.

My mother stayed at Churchveiw for two weeks respite care to allow my wife and I a break from caring for my mother.
We visited the home the week prior to her stay and were shown around by Claire and met a number of really helpful and happy staff members along with residents who all seemed very happy
and chatty.
The facilities and bedrooms were really clean and adequate for my mother
On dropping Mum off, we had a very thorough meeting with the head nurse to go through medication and the team to ensure everything was listed.
We visited Mum several times while she was staying there and ahead of was very happy and enjoyed taking part in the activities put on by the team on a daily basis.
She also used the hairdresser, had her nails done and enjoyed the company and meal times.
Overall, it gave Mum back the purpose to get up, get dressed and meet new people and join in again with the community

A year ago my brothers and I were in a search for a care home for our 96 year old mother. After viewing 5 other homes - a couple in very nice areas of Surrey county we were sent to Church View. At first we were unsure because of the location but we were so surprised when we came to visit. A year later
I continue to be impressed. The staff are so attentive & treat my mom with dignity and respect, the facility is bright and cheerful, the food excellent, and their activities program is fantastic. I have peace of mind that my mom is in the best place!

Churchview is staffed by the most amazing team of knowledgeable, hard working, polite and skilled individuals.
My dad lives there and has severe dementia and they are striving to give him the best life possible and find ways to make all our lives bearable. The team on Willow are kind and patient and
look after my dad with a smile, even when he is disruptive. I have seen many other care homes and this is one if the best. Its fully refurbished and has a nice smell. The new gardens and flower displays are good enough to win awards. Everything is spotless and as soon as a mess is made, its cleared and cleaned. You are welcomed in with a big smile from the reception team and offered drinks and cake. The sympathy i have got from the staff at this difficult time helps me get through the grief that watching a loved one with Altzeimers brings. I would recommend this care home. They really care.

My Mum came to Church View earlier this year following the break up of a relationship with her partner mainly due to his inability to cope with her care needs. It's been a very unsettling time for her throughout the whole process and continues to be so due to her illness. The staff have shown patience,
professionalism, care and above all kindness from the day she moved in and are managing her condition well. The activities provided are superb and really well thought through. The recent open day/party was fun to attend and a great demonstration of the keenness and diligence of the staff to make a special experience for everyone. (Visitors included)
The home was recommended to me by a good friend and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending also. Thank you Church View.

When my partner first came here, he was uncooperative and unresponsive. The staff here have been so kind and patient towards him & have brought him out of his shell. He eats well now & has even put on weight. He goes willingly to most of the activities which he would not have done before. The other
patients in his unit are all lovely too. I am so happy he is here.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.752) out of 10 for Church View Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 26 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.752 for Church View Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (258 Excellents x 5) + (29 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (6 Poors x 2) + (4 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 303 Ratings = 4.752
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Church View Care Home is based on 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 78 registered maximum number of service users is 15.6, which has been reached with 25 Positive reviews.
