Poor communication, for example, no notification of change, of change of manager or change of ownership, condescending communication advising resident is resident of the day, when bedbound and cannot participate in any activities, just because she has put weight on.

I have no issues with the care and support my sister receives. I cannot give enough praise to the staff who look after her. They are always cheerful and spend time chatting to her in her room.

My father has been a resident at Church View Care Home for six years now. Although he is bedbound, since his admission, the staff have maintained his skin integrity throughout. Despite having advanced dementia, he still tells us that he enjoys his meals, he especially enjoys the fresh fruit he is given
on a regular basis. We understand that our dad finds it very difficult to accept personal care because he is a proud man and still thinks he can care for himself, the staff manage this very well, even though it is a challenge for them. We know he is cared for and he is settled in his home. Thank you.

My experience with Church View Care Home is very positive. All the staff are very caring, always smiling and very attentive to my ex-husband. They know all about him and keep us informed all the time. Always asking about his needs, what he likes and everything to make his stay here pleasant. Keep constant
communication with his GP and give him his medication. He eats all the food, he must like it. They are always watching him because he is frail and could fall. They take him for little walks. All in all, excellent staff.

Church View Care Home has improved immensely since new owners have taken over. Mum has always been well looked after and is happy in her own 'dementia world'. Activities and music are well received, my mum is encouraged to participate in everything. Facilities are being refurbished, looking good for

All facilities are excellent. Staff are caring and carry out their duties with enthusiasm.
Room and cleanliness are very good.
The only disappointing factor is the sub-standard food served for the main meals. Food has to be brought in to sustain the appetite of the resident.

Obviously, there has been a change of management recently so it is early to comment, although they do seem to have plans to address a number of things including the garden and decoration which have started. The cleanliness has always been good and in the main, the staff have been very good and kind.
The main failure before was poor activities, which have improved a good idea,l and lack of investment. The previous manager was quite rude and would not take up suggestions. I hope the staff will get some good feedback, cleaners, cooks, carers, activity staff are all good. My ratings reflect the last three or four months of improvement.

It was a hard decision to put Mum in a home but, following a stroke, it had to be done. We visited Church View Care Home and were immediately impressed with the care and kindness shown to residents. Mum is always clean, tidy and well-tended to.
It was her 100th birthday this year and the staff at Church
View went above and beyond to make it a wonderful day for her.

My mother has been looked after extremely well. She has put on weight since she has been here. Her appearance is well kept and clean, as is her room. On my last visit, she appeared calm and content.

Dad was admitted to Church View from hospital. His previous residential home failed to recognise a chest infection, which meant hospitalization for treatment. Dad has been in Church View for eighteen months now and the care and attention he has received has been very good. He has dementia and reduced
mobility and since being here he has developed further chest infections and various ailments, but these have been dealt with promptly and I received immediate notification of any issues and actions taken by the staff.
The last year, during lockdown, we had regular video calls and the staff member making the calls encouraged Dad to engage with myself and his wife, which was not always easy.
Dad receives regular chiropody, haircuts, and is always clean and smart when we see him. He suffered with very dry skin prior to admission, but through good care, his skin is hydrated and amazing now. The staff and manager are friendly and approachable. As a qualified nurse myself, I would highly recommend.

The home took wonderful care of my mum receiving palliative care here. She was only here for six weeks before she died but she was very well looked after whilst she was here receiving palliative care medication.
I would highly recommend.

I find that the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Mum has advanced dementia and is confined to bed but is very well cared for. She came to the home with bedsores but these are no longer a problem thanks to the care of the staff.

During the past year, I can only give thanks to everyone providing care for my husband. The safety of residents and carers must be a priority but for relatives and friends being unable to visit has and continues to be distressing. The video calls are a welcome lifeline and I can see my husband appears
content and comfortable which gives me comfort. Also knowing I can approach staff if any concerns. They have done so much to ensure everyone's care is paramount. A lovely memory of summer was the Macmillan fundraiser.

A first-class establishment. Well run, the nursing staff bent over backwards to give my mum wonderful care and the death that she wanted with dignity. I can not praise this establishment highly enough. Gave me so much peace of mind during covid that mum was happy there and the staff are so friendly.

I have been in hospital since January. I came to this home six weeks ago. Every ship has a captain and this lady is the best captain.

The care home has good service and good staff, always trying to make patients feel loved and safe. They have done very well on communicating with my mother even though she doesn't speak English.
