Every time I visit Dad seems very happy. He enjoys his food. He's always whistling and singing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice wide long corridors. My daughters and I are very happy with his care. The rooms are tidy. My only criticism would be there is sometimes a stale odour on the top floor, maybe due to accidents with residents and carpet on the floor.

Overall, I am very happy with the home and the care she receives.

Thank you hardly seems enough but know that the Herald Lodge family make a real difference to people's lives. Keep up the good work and bless the staff team and residents.

Mum has been in the home for 4 months and I have found the staff to be the most caring, kind and wonderful people. I have nothing but praise for them all. The home is clean, the food wonderful and they always go the extra mile to make sure that the residents are happy and comfortable.

I have nothing but admiration for the whole care team. From the moment my aunt came to visit 4 or 5 times before her admission, the ongoing care and treatment she received. She has been able to form friendships and enjoys having her hair done, and she loves the food.

I visit my nan regularly, and the management and staff are so kind and always smiling. I feel the homely feel when I walk through the door and would not have my relative anywhere else. There are always activities she can join in with, and if she does not want to, they do an activity with her. So supportive and a pleasure to have as part of our family.

My mother-in-law stayed here for about 15 months but she recently passed away. While she was there, she was looked after with so much care and love that it was a pleasure to see. The staff are wonderful. They keep you informed of everything relating to your loved one and any request is never too much trouble. I cannot thank all of the staff enough at the home for what they did for my mother-in-law and for being so lovely and caring for her at the end. I will never forget you all.

My mother stayed for three weeks and we were very pleased with all aspects of her care at the home. We would have been happy to continue at the home except that the costs are too high. Once the self-funding ends, there is still an ongoing cost of more than £700 a week, which is not sustainable, so we have sourced another care home with lower costs.

Excellent facilities and staff make Mom's time here as pleasant as possible. Numerous events organised by the home - keep Mom's social skills and mobility as good as they can be.

Ideal care homes. The name definitely covers what you are looking for. Peace of mind and the decor of the home is exceptional throughout. The resident's room is outstanding and bathroom/en suites, the cleanliness top notch. Made mums move from respite to permanent home go smoothly. Mum has started to join in the activities and only on the second day. This makes you know you got it right.

The staff here have been amazing with my mum. She is always really well presented. I know that my mum enjoys their kindness and humour. The home itself is always clean. The food is (apparently) great. I would recommend this to others for sure.

The staff were extremely helpful from the start. An appointment the very next day after the initial phone call. My mother (at 100-years-old) has settled quite well and has no difficulties settling in so far. All of the family agree she is in the right place.

In these unprecedented times, I feel the home and management have acted in the best interest of my mum first. Whenever possible the home has respected our situation and thoughts. I feel the home has reacted well to the current situation in protecting all inside the home and external visits to hospital appointments. The home is caring and keeps us well informed. I feel that my mum is being looked after very well and that she is in the right place.

Under the circumstances, at this present time, I think management for the home have done very well in protecting Mum and ourselves. Care for Mum is very good and keep us all well informed of all situations. The staff are always very friendly and helpful.

Herald Lodge is a very friendly environment for my mother. Staff are always helpful and courteous. They have done their best to ensure my mother is well cared for, this has been especially noticed during the difficult times of Covid.

My sister is and always has been very happy here. The staff are very kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. If we have a problem it is dealt with immediately. I can phone up at any time to enquire how my sister is. Up until lockdown I could visit at any time without notice.
