Mum has been a resident of The Buckingham for just over 2 years. Took a little while to settle in, but she had always been happy there. Some excellent caring staff, that go that extra mile.

My father lived at Buckingham for 18 months and was happy there from Day 1.
He had a short spell in a different care home where he was very unhappy so the family were relieved to find such friendly staff.
Throughout his stay, he gradually became increasingly dependent on staff for all aspects of daily
life and they were happy and willing to help.
During his last few days the care lavished on my father and also on my brother and I whilst we stayed with him was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and they were really considerate.
A big thank you to all staff at Buckingham for their exceptional care.

My mother entered this care home in July 2015, initially for a few days respite care. She has problems walking, apart from at night when she wanders a lot without apparent pain, and dementia. Immediately the staff made her really welcome and were friendly and warm towards her as well as making sure
she ate well and took her medicine. The rooms were also really nice and the whole home had a welcoming warm feel about it. As a result of this initial visit we booked my mother in there on a permanent basis and we are really pleased we did this.


My brothers and I and all my mum's visitors have always been made to feel welcome. As well as that the other people staying in the home and their visitors are also friendly and welcoming and happy to talk about what is going on. They have regular events and activities and try to make sure that residents, such as my mother with dementia, as well as those without join in as much as they can. Resident's families and visitors are also invited to join in with any event they are interested in.


All the members of staff from the carers through to the cooks and other support staff seem to know every resident by name.
