Wife completed two weeks of respite at Buckingham Care Home recently. The level of care was exceptional. She was treated with dignity and included and accommodated in group activities, despite her advanced stage of Alzheimer's, which was appreciated and welcomed. The personal care was also excellent
and she received a shower and change of clothes daily. The freshly cooked meals always looked tasty and nutritional and the assistance with feeding was greatly appreciated. Will definitely return.

Buckingham Care Home is an excellent environment. My sister who suffers from dementia is cared for excellently by the staff and are so friendly towards us on our visits nothing is a problem for them. The home is always clean and inviting. The management team are excellent, always friendly and around
if you need to speak to them. Residents always look happy and well cared for. Activities for residents are wonderful and well organised and encourage residents to take part, always something going on for our loved ones to keep them entertained.

The care home is a friendly, welcoming place. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Everyone has a smile, and residents are happy. The care provided to residents is first-class. The staff genuinely care. Excellent activities are provided most days to keep residents busy and entertained. There are always
events organised for residents and families to attend, for example, at Christmas. The home is clean and tidy. I have no worries about my mother living there.

The place was clean and beautifully appointed. However, there were very few respite and recovery patients and not much to do so I was left in my room most of the day with no encouragement to go out. There were mostly dementia patients so no opportunities to have conversations. I was able to have a shower
every day. The care given was good and so was the food, when hot.

A very warm welcome, making Mum feel welcome and at ease, given this was a difficult decision for her. She was very happy and this made the family feel confident she was in good hands. The rooms were lovely, the only issue was perhaps no grab rails in the bathroom. Mum enjoyed the chair aerobics very
much. The only thing is, it is expensive, when self-funded.

My mother in law came to Buckingham originally for respite care in December 2021 and I remember the warm and caring welcome from the team and how they made Mum feel comfortable and supported from day one. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated and it felt like a home as we could add little touches
of personal items. The team are dedicated, empathetic, caring and genuine and quickly developed friendly relationships, being recognised and greeted every visit. Mum settled in well and we saw a huge change in her as she was surrounded by people who care, support, as well as building relationships with other residents in the community. I would highly recommend Buckingham to anyone looking for that extra special outstanding care. Knowing that Mum is safe and comfortable, especially having dementia, she needed 24-hour care. Mum is now a permanent resident and we are so thankful to have found a safe place for her to feel at home. Family and friends have the freedom to visit anytime.

This wonderful place has welcomed my dad and all of our family with open arms. The care is exceptional and all the staff are just amazing. My dad feels safe and Mum visits every day. Dad is included in the many activities that are provided by a very motivated well-being manager. I would recommend Buckingham

My mother's mental and physical health has really improved in the home. She is clearly eating well, getting the chance to interact and generally responding well. Due to where I live I can only see her every 4 to 5 months and the contrast is remarkable (and welcome). Friendly staff, clean rooms and common

My auntie has been at Buckingham for a few years now and I continued to be hugely impressed by the level of care given. The home is always spotless and the staff are so friendly and patient. My auntie is very happy there and it brings the family a lot of comfort to know she is in such a lovely place.

My mother-in-law spent some time in Buckingham in February, unfortunately, she was on end of life care. Although this was a very sad time for us as a family, we were always treated with kindness and could visit whenever we wanted, our mum was well looked after and made very comfortable, by a very kind

My mum stayed for 2 weeks convalescing after a spell in hospital. The care she received was exceptional. The home is very well run by an excellent management team and the care staff on every level worked tirelessly to ensure mum received the best of care both physically and mentally. I would like to
thank all the staff at the Buckingham for their support during Mum's stay which gave her the strength and confidence to then return to her own home.

Having never been to a care home my perception of what it would be like is nothing I dreamt of. This care home is clean, spacious and very friendly. My friend is being well looked after and the staff are seeing to all his needs.

My mother had an accident. My dad cared for her and me and my brother. Over the years family and friends looked after mum.
I have cared for my mum.. for everything!
My late father asked me and my brother never put your mum in a home! Promise we did!
Break the promise we have.. this care home is amazing
the colleagues are so dedicated, kind and I feel strongly my mum has had a new lease of life!
She is in a better place than living in a house with the only engagement is often a tv.
I live in Cumbria. During lockdown, this care home has been amazing I have had face time, telephone conversations and personal contact with restrictions.
I could never look after my mum like they do at Buckingham. All the colleagues I have met have been positive, honest, caring and going the extra mile!
I will never be able to thank all the colleagues enough.
I broke a promise dad but I think it was for the best! Thanks to all.

Our family can't or speak highly enough about all the staff at Buckingham and the exemplary care they have given my mother. The love and dedication they have shown to us all; is outstanding.
The home is welcoming, and it has a beautiful environment. All the residents are treated with respect and dignity.
They all have a great deal of fun together, and it feels like belonging to a family. It has been the most marvellous place for my mother.

My mum-in-law has been resident on Memory Lane at Buckingham for almost 3 years now, and from the start, her care has been outstanding. The staff on this unit are so patient and caring, treating each resident with affection and respect, recognising and meeting their individual, very varied needs. They
have an excellent understanding of dementia and the challenges it brings to the lives of the residents, and are able to support them with compassion. We could not have wished for a better place for her to be well and truly cared for.
