My mother's mental and physical health has really improved in the home. She is clearly eating well, getting the chance to interact and generally responding well. Due to where I live I can only see her every 4 to 5 months and the contrast is remarkable (and welcome). Friendly staff, clean rooms and common area.

My auntie has been at Buckingham for a few years now and I continued to be hugely impressed by the level of care given. The home is always spotless and the staff are so friendly and patient. My auntie is very happy there and it brings the family a lot of comfort to know she is in such a lovely place.

My mother-in-law spent some time in Buckingham in February, unfortunately, she was on end of life care. Although this was a very sad time for us as a family, we were always treated with kindness and could visit whenever we wanted, our mum was well looked after and made very comfortable, by a very kind and dedicated team. I would highly recommend Buckingham to anyone you can be sure of outstanding care of loved ones

My mum stayed for 2 weeks convalescing after a spell in hospital. The care she received was exceptional. The home is very well run by an excellent management team and the care staff on every level worked tirelessly to ensure mum received the best of care both physically and mentally. I would like to thank all the staff at the Buckingham for their support during Mum's stay which gave her the strength and confidence to then return to her own home.

Having never been to a care home my perception of what it would be like is nothing I dreamt of. This care home is clean, spacious and very friendly. My friend is being well looked after and the staff are seeing to all his needs.

Well done and thank you.

My mother had an accident. My dad cared for her and me and my brother. Over the years family and friends looked after mum.
I have cared for my mum.. for everything!
My late father asked me and my brother never put your mum in a home! Promise we did!
Break the promise we have.. this care home is amazing the colleagues are so dedicated, kind and I feel strongly my mum has had a new lease of life!
She is in a better place than living in a house with the only engagement is often a tv.
I live in Cumbria. During lockdown, this care home has been amazing I have had face time, telephone conversations and personal contact with restrictions.
I could never look after my mum like they do at Buckingham. All the colleagues I have met have been positive, honest, caring and going the extra mile!
I will never be able to thank all the colleagues enough.

I broke a promise dad but I think it was for the best! Thanks to all.

Our family can't or speak highly enough about all the staff at Buckingham and the exemplary care they have given my mother. The love and dedication they have shown to us all; is outstanding.

The home is welcoming, and it has a beautiful environment. All the residents are treated with respect and dignity. They all have a great deal of fun together, and it feels like belonging to a family. It has been the most marvellous place for my mother.

My mum-in-law has been resident on Memory Lane at Buckingham for almost 3 years now, and from the start, her care has been outstanding. The staff on this unit are so patient and caring, treating each resident with affection and respect, recognising and meeting their individual, very varied needs. They have an excellent understanding of dementia and the challenges it brings to the lives of the residents, and are able to support them with compassion. We could not have wished for a better place for her to be well and truly cared for.

From our first visit to Buckingham Care Home, our mum/nannan has had nothing except a first-class service provided. We are always made to feel welcome on every visit made.

The care provided is both professional, yet you feel that you could be in a hotel. Activities, food and the staff deserve top marks. Keep up the good work.

My mother uses Buckingham periodically for the last two years. She goes into respite 3-4 times per year with each visit having a duration of 10-25 days. As well as herself, all family members are completely satisfied with the high quality of care she receives while staying at Buckingham.

We are very satisfied with Buckingham Care Home. Our mum seems very comfortable and settled. The caring staff seem to do all they can for Mum and treat her with dignity and a happy smile. The carers, unfortunately, are kept too busy at times.

Dad was in Buckingham House for a short while. As a family, we were reluctant to go down the care route. We needn't have been Dad was looked after so well by the staff. Warm clean friendly place. Extra pudding for Dad. All members of staff made us feel like we were part of their little family. Dad passed in November. We still keep in touch with Buckingham House. For us it was a 70-mile round trip to see Dad but he got so much lovely care we were happy to make the trip almost daily.

It’s always a difficult, worrying and desperate time when you have to make the decision to move your loved one into a home. At very short notice Buckingham Care Home accepted Dad for respite with a view to becoming a permanent resident. We needn’t have worried. They treated Dad, and us all, with the utmost care and respect. They understood. It’s hard, but they eased the way. They truly gave Dad the care and attention he needed and looked after him with care, respect, friendship, and love. They did the same to us. The staff and management are friendly, professional and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. We were lucky and thankful Dad spent his last months there. We couldn’t have found anywhere better. As a mark of how much we appreciate them, we have returned and will return again, to see the staff who always make us so welcome. We feel they are friends, and it’s true what they say, we are all their family, not just the person who is in their care. Wonderful place.

My Mother needed to be admitted to Buckingham in an emergency situation. From the start, she and we, her family, were greeted and treated with great care and kindness. Adapting to the new circumstances was difficult for all of us but my Mother, who was very weak and frail, was well looked after throughout and we always felt supported by the managers and staff who were available to advise and get things done as needed. Overall, our experience of Buckingham was excellent. The possible improvement my Mother said she would have liked was a choice of international style dishes to supplement the standard British traditional menu.
