Cross Way House

My mother moved into the care home after a time in the hospital. She was made to feel very welcome by the staff and soon settled in. I feel she is in a safe environment and is being very well cared for. Since the first week of moving in she has become more alert. sociable and looks so much happier than when she was in her own home. The activities are very good and certainly help to stimulate her mentally and socially. It is a relief to me to know she is in safe and caring hands.

Since my dad has been in Cross Way House it has taken a lot of worry from us as a family knowing that all of his needs are taken care of. He is always clean and tidy and on a balanced diet that meets all his needs. The staff are always helpful. Very happy with all of the support that Dad is given and the facilities are of a high standard.

Mum was in Cross Way for seven months and during that time she was treated with care, compassion and dignity by all the staff there. Her physical needs were very well met as was her emotional wellbeing. The manager and staff were always friendly and welcomed us with a smile when visiting. Not only was Mum well supported and cared about, but I was too. This was really a home from home for Mum, nothing seemed too much trouble. When Mum was on end-of-life care they kept me informed every step of the way and went above and beyond in their care of Mum to ensure she passed peacefully. I don't have the words to express my gratitude for the way the whole team looked after my mum. Thank you.

I feel Mum is being cared for very well and always safe. My mum does need to be encouraged to speak out ie when in pain, wants a drink/fruit. Carers do encourage this but she still isn't reaching out as much as she should.

I've found everyone very nice and very helpful.

My mum has been treated by all members of staff with care, compassion and dignity. Her needs have been met with regard to meals, personal care, medical care, together with her emotional wellbeing. The caring staff greet me with as smile when I arrive and have a positive attitude towards residents and visitors alike. I feel that both Mum and myself are supported and cared about.

The team at Cross Way House are extremely caring with both the residents and their families. When someone is end of life, which I have witnessed twice now, they go above and beyond in keeping you informed every step of the way. I advised my friend to put her mum into this home and she was extremely grateful that her mum was looked after the way she was - right to the end.

My mother was treated with the utmost dignity and kindness throughout her stay until her sad passing recently. Nothing was too much trouble and staff were absolutely marvellous, kind, caring and compassionate, all that you want for a loved one suffering from dementia. The staff went above and beyond to get my mum better treatment to ease her suffering. I do not have enough words to praise them. I would definitely recommend this care home to any of my friends needing its service. I used this home on a recommendation from a friend whose father was a resident but now also sadly passed.

Excellent staff, very caring and attentive. When I first came I was very nervous but within a week was well settled and happy. There are good activities and excellent food.

The staff all treat me courteously and with respect, even if I get "stroppy" which has been known!

Mum joined Cross Way House just a few weeks before covid shutdown so this experience could have been disturbing for her. However, the genuine kindness, compassion and professional care have kept hers and our spirits up. The staff have kept us up to date on mum's welfare and made it possible for me to wave to her each morning through a window. They have kept Cross Way covid free.

The Manager and Deputy Manager do an amazing job, as do the dedicated team of staff. The last few months must have been particularly difficult due to COVID-19 but they have kept smiling and ensured residents needs are met at all times. Well done the Care Manager for leading a committed team who go above and beyond - please accept our very grateful thanks.

Despite all the problems of dealing with Coronavirus, the staff were all very cheerful and helpful.

I have found Cross Way House to be a very friendly and kind environment from day one of my husbands stay. Everyone has been most supportive bot of my husband and myself. The entertainment and occupational therapy have been outstanding. The atmosphere is happy and positive. I have no complaints concerning his treatment and welfare. He is treated with respect and kindness at all times and the staff do an excellent job.

Everywhere is clean. My mum is always clean and well looked after.

We have always found the house clean and tidy and my sister has a bright, colourful room with lovely lights and decorated well.
