My Mum was transferred here in January from QA for care, due to a fall and becoming non weight bearing. M organised everything competently and was available to answer my many questions constantly. Mum's room was spotless and beautifully decorated. She was looked after with compassion and taken down
to the day room daily to socialise with the other residents. This was very important to her. N and V were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help mum settle in. Mum loved the food and quoted "This is not just food ..this is Solent Cliffs food!!"G and V provided an enjoyable and varied entertainment and activity programme which Mum joined in as enthusiastically . The carers were friendly, gentle and understanding especially M (J) who was very kind to mum. Mum was very confused at times but she was treated with dignity. A big thank you to everyone and mum is looking coming back for respite soon.
Reply from Hayley Kramm, Registered Manager at Solent Cliffs Nursing HomeThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful feedback. We are truly delighted to hear that your mum felt comfortable, well cared for, and welcomed during her stay with us. It means a great deal to the whole team to know that her room, the activities, and the social time in the day room helped make her experience enjoyable.

Your lovely comments about the staff will be shared with them, especially M, N, V, G and M (J). Our team work very hard to provide compassionate care and to ensure every resident is treated with dignity, so it is wonderful to know that this made such a positive difference to your mum.

We are also very pleased to hear she enjoyed the food so much - her quote certainly made us smile!

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. We look forward to welcoming your mum back to Solent Cliffs for her respite stay soon

Although my dear dad only spent the last two weeks of his life here, he was treated with dignity, respect and was shown great care and kindness. I cannot fault any of the staff from the manager right down to the lowest orderly. Always ready to listen and answer any questions or concerns and to comfort
me as well as my dad. They are very empathetic, showing a true understanding to my dads needs as well as showing care and professionalism at all times. Every member of staff have shown me and my family great care and kindness at this difficult time.
Reply from Hayley Kramm, Registered Manager at Solent Cliffs Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. We are truly honoured that you chose us to care for your dad during his final weeks.

It means a great deal to our entire team to know that he was treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, and that you and your family felt supported during such a difficult time. Providing comfort, understanding, and attentive care to both our residents and their loved ones is at the heart of everything we do.

Your kind words about our staff will be shared with the whole team, as they work incredibly hard to ensure every person in our care is treated with the kindness and professionalism they deserve.

Please accept our deepest condolences once again. Thank you for trusting us to care for your dad and for taking the time to recognise the team's efforts.

All i can say staff were fantastic mum was a resident for 8 months. The only reason we moved mum was to be closer to the family. Her great children will be able to see her after school on their way home. It will make it easier all round as a family to have her close by.

My grandmother spent two wonderful years of her life at Beechwood House. Everyone at Beechwood felt like part of your family, whether it was a carer or a resident.
There are always lots of activities big or small going on at the home, organised by the wonderful activities team.
Her room was comfortable
and spacious, and she could easily roam the home with her zimmer frame.
There was never a time that she was restricted or told off, she would go and inspect the cooks to make sure they were peeling the potatoes correctly.
You could visit at anytime and it was no issue, the team are always approachable for any queries. Visiting the garden in the summer time is a real treat, I think I will continue to drop in at Beechwood in the future and check on the staff and residents.
I would like to thank all the staff for showing my grandmother such love and care.
Reply from Hayley McGuinness, Manager at Beechwood House Nursing HomeThank you so much for writing such a lovely review. Your grandmother was a very special lady and not one to be forgotten. We will miss seeing her hat collection and having her check on staff throughout their shift. Your family became a big part of Beechwood and so many of our residents enjoyed your visits just as much as your gran did. We would welcome you back any time with open arms and a slice of freshly made cake. I will share your wonderful words with the staff that make this house a home, thank you.

My mum has been a resident at Solent Cliffs for the past 3 years. During this time, the level of care, support and kindness has been amazing. The professionalism shown by everyone has been such a reassuring thing, and the smiles and engagement of the staff, each visit and on the phone so welcoming.
Mum recently passed away, and the kindness, advice, support and care shown was again above and beyond. We couldn't have asked for more from everyone at Solent Cliffs. Hayley and the team are the best, and we can't thank them enough.

Me and my family never expected to be writing another review 9 years after Mum first went to live at Solent Cliffs a very poorly lady , on discharge from hospital, to receive what the hospital described as end of life care. Her health conditions were stabilised by the care at Solent and in her first
years she was able to enjoy her new home and join in activities and the friendship of the nurses and carers. With age she now can not see or hear very well and has dementia which have all sadly deteriorated. It is hard for us all and her at times but the care she has, the dignity and the love showed to her through all stages of her progressive illnesses have never waivered,.hence a few weeks ago she reached 100 years old and despite no partying , she had a sleepy day, Solent made her day very special , her room sparkled just like the love and dedication of all..Thank you

My son was at Solent Cliffs for an assessment period and to receive nursing care. The home is very well managed with staff, who all care about the residents and cannot be faulted with the care they provide. I was told by a friend, when looking for a care home, not to look at the flash surroundings, or facilities, but to look to see if the staff are happy at work. And I would recommend this to anyone now.
The staff at my Dads' nursing home are amazing, they go beyond what is expected of them to look after
the residents. They truly do care. They know all the residents individually, knowing their likes and dislikes and notice if they are slightly off colour. They are also wonderfully friendly to their visiting relatives and friends.

At my Dads last care home I would constantly be worrying about him and I always seemed to have one issue or another with the care he was receiving, but here, I don't worry about his care, I know he is being well looked after. Its such a relief to know this. I can't recommend this home enough!

Reply from Hayley Kramm, Registered Manager at Solent Cliffs Nursing HomeThank you for your kind words. When supporting residents with person-centred care, it's often the small changes we notice that can make the biggest difference. A smile goes a long way.

What can I say, other than What a Fantastic Home!!! I cannot fault the care, support and genuine love shown to my family and my Dad (who loves his Salubrious Accommodation!.. His words)
It is a truly wonderful place to be. If dad has been ill ( which in nearly five years, is only twice) .. then all
the stops are pulled out, and the doc or emergency staff seem to turn up in minutes to help. On Both occasions the staff too, have been amazing in keeping me posted and in their fantastic care for Dad.
Entertainment is great too, always something happening and the residents are encouraged to join in, but free to make a choice.
I've already booked my room!!
A Mahooooosive thanks from me and Dad, to all the lovely staff and Management !!
