My husband was a resident at Abundant Grace for just over four years. The care and love that he received was excellent. From the very first day to the last, he was treated with respect. He was often taken out into the beautiful gardens which he loved. We as a family were always made to feel most welcome and enjoyed time together. Thank you to everyone at Abundant Grace for all that you did and I'm sure continue to do so. Highly recommend.

My aunt and uncle are both residents at Abundant Grace. They have been since November 2022. They are both settled in their own very nice rooms on the first floor and are cared for with kindness and respect from all staff members, who have the utmost patience for everyone. Our aunt has Alzheimer's, and our uncle has physical problems, but they both wanted to be together as they have been for the last 75+ years. But since being in Abundant Grace, they have both been safer, cared for, well fed and contented. They both love being in the garden when the sun is shining and do participate in the activities, of which there are many. We visit them both regularly, and we are welcomed by everyone. Thank you.

Choosing a Nursing Home is a difficult decision, but I am so glad that my father was cared for by Abundant Grace. The moment you step into their reception area you can sense it is a good place to be. Although my father was there for a relatively short time, we felt it was the best place to be for his final weeks. All the staff, from cleaners to management, were so friendly, helpful and caring. My father was treated with empathy and respect, he felt very happy with the care he was given. Knowing my father was being looked after so well meant a lot to us and I wish to thank everyone at Abundant Grace for making such a sad time so much easier. I will never forget the care my father received and have no hesitation in recommending them as an excellent choice of Nursing Home.

I cannot thank Abundant Grace enough for taking in my dad at such short notice. The respect and care he received during his last few months was exceptional. Whenever I visited I always felt welcomed by their friendly staff. Whatever my dad needed they went out of their way to fulfill his needs to help make him comfortable and happy as possible. Thanks to all at Abundant Grace.

My mum spent a few weeks towards the end of her life at Abundant Grace. She passed away on the 22nd October 2019 in total peace and comfort and was very well looked after by ALL at AG. All I can say is I wish we had found this lovely home earlier.

Thanks to all at AG for your kind and thoughtful support during a very difficult time and for making my mum's last few weeks as comfortable as possible.

I can only say that I wish we had found Abundant Grace earlier. My dad was treated with great kindness, respect and as a person, not a job. We had dad's birthday celebration in the Orangery which accommodated about 20 of us and were provided with never-ending tea, coffee and soft drinks. A wonderful place set in beautiful grounds and staffed with compassionate, well-trained staff.

It was very unfortunate that my mother only lived a very short time at end of life at Abundance Grace. However, in the short time she was there, the staff were without exception, loving and so very caring in looking after my mum in her last few hours with such love and care. Having great respect for her dignity and making sure she was pain-free.

The manager was amazing and should be very proud of every one of her staff, I can only of wished that Eastbourne Hospital had discharged my mum earlier so that her stay at Abundant Grace had been longer.

My relative, who has early onset Alzheimer's, has been so well and considerately cared for at the home. At first, she was much involved with the many stimulating activities; as the disease developed she may have lost interest in many of these, but she has remained content, and I have been so impressed with the degree of care she receives. It has been such a relief for me to know how well she is, in a compassionate and dignified manner, and I am continually impressed with the degree of care and compassion shown by all staff.

I have also been impressed with the way in which the home keeps in touch with me. The home itself is well decorated and furnished with stimulating paintings, photographs of film stars, and scenic murals. The EMI unit has such a carefully designed shape, and the room is light and spacious with its en-suite facilities.

Every time I enter the home, I am met with a friendly greeting. It feels more like a hotel than a home for the elderly. Staff always pleasant, nothing is ever too much trouble for any of them. It's always clean. Couldn't have found a better place than this for my Dad. Thank you.

My mother suffers from advanced dementia. I visit her regularly and she is always clean, tidy and maintains a healthy weight. The staff all appear very caring and are friendly to me when I visit. My mother appears as contented and comfortable as I could hope for - realistically I don't think that I could expect a better standard of care.

Generally very happy with the care and support given, with many excellent staff at all levels. Lack of communication has been an occasional issue but new management are very proactive and helpful in resolving any problems. My dad is very happy here and that's what is important.

My mum moved into Abundant Grace in October 2014, as she has Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia. She has a large, sunny, dual-aspect room on the ground floor with an en-suite wet-room. We have been able to fit in many of her own personal possessions and furniture such as a sofa to ensure that she receives the comfort of her familiar things. Mum seems very happy and settled. The staff are so friendly and welcoming (and with us) that she is constantly having a laugh and a joke with them. There is plenty of food and drink on offer (3 cooked meals per day if desired) plus 3 visits per day from the tea trolley! There are activities available for all residents of varying abilities, including armchair exercises on Monday afternoons, arts and crafts, games, singers, Pet Pals and outings (weather permitting!). Most importantly, because staff genuinely care about the residents, Abundant Grace feels like a homely community rather than an institution.

My stepmother has been resident in Abundant Grace for over 4 years and has been well cared for with all the staff treating her with respect. She has Alzheimer's and can be difficult at times but the staff always manage to calm her down. My father was also in Abundant Grace and when alive, he and my stepmother enjoyed their time together which was definitely extended by the good care provided at the home. It is always clean and tidy with the staff friendly and knowledgeable about all the residents.

My Mum has been cared for at Abundant Grace for 4 years and she has a lovely light and airy room on the first floor. The carers and nurses are friendly, as are all the staff who are hard working and genuinely care for, not only my Mum but all the residents and visitors. The cleaners work hard to keep the home looking and smelling nice. My Mum is very happy, content and well cared for and she is treated in a dignified and respectful manner at all times. There are lots of activities that the residents can participate in with regular visits from musicians and singers, animals and birds that can be stroked, arts and crafts, baking and much more! There is a garden with mature trees and paths where you can take your relative out for some fresh air too.

Abundant Grace is a beautiful Nursing Home - really light and airy. Mum thinks her room is lovely. She enjoys watching the squirrels and birds from her window and going for walks in the garden. There are also lots of lovely activities for people to choose from.

The staff are excellent - friendly, caring and with a great sense of humour. The nursing team have been fantastic when Mum has been unwell and are always very attentive. Mum is really happy here and that means the world to us.

My mother has been a resident on the dementia floor since April 2015, my father had a 6 week period of respite care on the ground floor commencing in May 2015. The staff are all very caring and are happy to assist. The home smells clean and fresh and the rooms are kept spotless. Food is excellent with a good choice available for even the fussiest of eaters. Following my fathers return home in June every one enquired about him and how he was managing which I felt was really nice.

"Welcome to Abundant Grace. The first thing people notice when they visit Abundant Grace isn't the building - it is the atmosphere. It's the sound of residents laughing together, families staying longer than they planned, and staff greeting everyone by name. Buildings don't create that sense of warmth; people do. Our ultimate aim is for every resident to feel that this is truly their home, not simply the place where they live.

When families first visit us, they are usually looking for reassurance that their loved one will be safe, happy, and genuinely cherished. For almost six years, I have had the privilege of leading our dedicated team and witnessing first-hand the difference that compassionate, person-centred care can make. I am proud that Abundant Grace has achieved a 'Good' rating across all five CQC domains, but our greatest achievement will always be the trust that our residents and their families place in us every day.

Everything we do is guided by one simple question: "What would I want if this were my own family?" That philosophy shapes the way we recruit, train, and support our team. While clinical excellence is essential, it is kindness, dignity, and respect that truly define exceptional care.

Our peaceful location on the outskirts of Seaford allows residents to enjoy a calm and relaxing environment while remaining close to family and friends. Whether we are supporting someone through changing care needs, celebrating life's milestones, or simply taking the time to sit and listen, our team is committed to ensuring every resident feels valued and respected.”
