The team at Soham Lodge Care Centre offers skills in PEG feeding, NG nasogastric feeding, tracheostomy, cough assist, BIPAP, and CPAP.
Soham Lodge Care Centre specialises in bariatric care. Nurses and care staff are trained in the care and management of individuals with higher weight needs. The home has all the necessary equipment in place to provide as much mobility as required and possible.
The home features large rooms that are well equipped with ceiling track hoists, piped oxygen and suction, as well as a bariatric commode and chair. The Vendlet repositioning unit and Turncair mattress system assist with repositioning in bed more effectively and efficiently than manual handling alone.
Soham Lodge has on-site neuro-physiotherapists and access to community occupational therapy and speech and language therapy, provided as required.
The home has been awarded the Gold Standard Framework Care Homes Accreditation Award for the high quality of end-of-life care provided.

I contacted Soham Lodge early on Saturday morning and gave our details to the receptionist. The following Monday I was called by The Lodge business management. On Tuesday, my wife had an assessment by a nurse from The Lodge. On Thursday my wife was taken from hospital to The Lodge. Very professional.

My Dad went into Soham Lodge 6th February 2026 for end of life care. He had terminal brain cancer meaning he was unable to do anything for himself and needed constant care and monitoring. From his arrival to his passing the care received was second to none. The staff were all superb, showing concern, compassion and support to not just Dad but all of the family too. Nothing was too much trouble and they all looked after dad exceptionally well making the last three weeks of his life as comfortable as possible.
A big thank you to all the staff. I would not hesitate to recommend Soham Lodge Care Home.

I visited an old mate who is sadly dying of cancer. He has no complaints about being in Soham Lodge. I personally found it most agreeable. The initial aspect was very helpful, and pleasant reception ladies. I joined my friend in a large, clean room with a huge TV. I was offered a cup of tea as soon as I sat down by another very pleasant lady. We sat in a nice, warm room with other nice residents and chatted. I later moved to my friend's own room, which were large and clean. Everywhere was clean and non smelly. Every staff member I met was pleasant. Just like to say I have visited my parents and relations in several different homes in Cambridgeshire. Yours at Soham is the only one that didn't smell really badly from the reception desk onwards.
Many congratulations on that. I really wasn't looking forward to that visit today. No problem for the future!

My father arrived against my wishes from the previous facility with a temperature, chest infection, operating on one lung, low blood pressure and irregular heartbeat, to Soham Lodge on October 20th 2025. His oxygen level was 69. The staff took immediate urgent action and dialled 999. 7 staff surrounded him, helping him until paramedics came and transported him to hospital. Soham Lodge Care Centre saved my dad's life and continue to help him thrive.

There is lots of fun and laughter at this care home, and the residents spend their time where they choose, maybe in the lounge, their room or the garden - this isn't a place where everyone has to sit around in a big circle just for the convenience of the staff. There are lots of imaginative activities if people would like to join in, but if they want to be by themselves that is also fine. The home is very clean and the residents are helped to keep fresh and well. I know that my brother is safe and always treated with dignity and respect, and I am always made to feel very welcome. Very good communication between the home and the residents' families.

This is the first time I have been a resident in a care home and when I started just over four years ago I did not know what to expect. It has so far turned out to be fairly ideal for my needs and wants, which are a bit complex and a bit extensive at times. Meaning especially, for instance, that I need and want peace and quiet most of the days in order to collect my thoughts and develop notably and recover the best I can from years of being rather mentally ill which were aided and yet very marred by absolutely major tranquillizers and very little female company!

From what I’ve seen and heard from others who have visited, the Soham Lodgefolk have treated my mother exceptionally well and even got her playing bingo for the first time in 95 years. Thanks very much!
