Cherry Tree House

My husband has been in Cherry Tree for almost a year. It was difficult to find the right place as he is one of the younger residents at the home, but the care, respect and activities Cherry Tree provides is outstanding. No one wants to put their loved ones in to care, we all think that no one can look after our loved ones better than ourselves, but Cherry Tree treats residents as individuals, and people, despite each own individual difficulties. I cannot be more pleased and relieved to know that he has the care 24/7 and that he is in the right place for his care and needs.

I cannot praise the level of care and service highly enough.

Staff are exceptional at caring for my friend. From the cleaning staff, to the catering staff, to the carers, they are professional and very welcoming at all times. It gives a lot of comfort to family and friends that our loved one is being cared for by such dedicated staff. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I feel blessed that my husband is there and would recommend any other family having the heartbreaking dilemma of putting a loved one in care to come and visit Cherry Tree.

The home also supplied food + refreshments for dads birthday and we had sole use of one of the lounges for our family which we all appreciated it was nice to see staff enquiring about my welfare during a recent illness, it shows a caring welfare for everyone. Maybe a welfare officer would be good as a point of contact if we can't visit for updates

Would like to thank all the staff that looked after my brother Dave . He recently passed away, this care home goes above and beyond and did everything they could for my brother, won't name the members of staff that looked after Dave as they know who they are and I thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart . By far the best care home in Stockport the staff are absolutely amazing nothing to much trouble always clean highly recommend .food is good and nutritional for the residents plenty of activities for them to do

In general, as a family member, I feel listened to, welcomed & comfortable on the unit. I recommend the Home.

My father has been in the care home for over 2 years. I have found the staff are always friendly and helpful on each visit. They also keep me informed of dad's wellbeing and any fluctuations should they occur. Whenever I am at the care home visiting dad I have seen them busily attending their routine duies however they will always stop and give me their full attention and help if I ask. To be able to achieve this relies on great teamwork. On one occasion I can recall my dad became quite ill. His carer "hit the button" prompting dad's triage of medical care up to the attendance of paramedics. Luckily dad responded to treatment and was soon in the comfort of his own room.

We continue to be happy with Cherry Tree.

Sadly, my mum was not with you long, but the care we received for the short time we were meant the world to us.

Dad has been in the EMI section of the home due to his complex vascular dementia/alzheimers/difficult personality after release from long spell in hospital. Unlike the previous home he was in, the home are fully aware of how Dad's behaviour is 'difficult' and 'challenging'. I know I won't get a call telling me "your dad has done this ... " with the tone that I have to do something about him. There have been incidents, which they have informed me of, but they have sought advice from GP/community mental health team.

The manager of the section has also been there for me when I've visited and Dad is difficult. The disease has taken away parts of his brain for self control, so his core state is one where he believes he doesn't have anything wrong with him and should not be there, although he doesn't know where he is.

My overall experience so far has been very good. I feel the staff have been of a caring nature, they treat my friend with the upmost dignity. With full due care of attention, the communication, updates are excellent and feel I know whats happening or any issues that are arising, the management staff and carers have all been so caring and they become of a personal and confident reliable and trustworthy individual, not only to my friend but to us as a family.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the entire team at Cherrytree Care Home. You made a difference not only in Dad's life but in ours as well. We will always be grateful

My Dad has resided at Cherry Tree for over a year now and he has settled wonderfully. His needs are consistently met and all the staff make a real effort to ensure he is always comfortable and stimulated. Everyone is so kind and friendly to both my Dad and us as a family. The communication is always very open and honest and if we, as a family, ever have an queries/concerns they are acted upon swiftly. The home has a wide range of entertainment and activities to cater to all tastes. The chair sports programme has been great as it shows my Dad still has fantastic co-ordination. I particularly love that you can visit at any time of day and are not restricted to how long you stay. At a previous care home the "protected meal times" really impacted any quality time we could spend with my Dad so the freedom of visiting hours has felt very liberating! It is tastefully decorated and very smart, a real home from home- with all rooms ensuite. Overall, can't fault the place!

7 cars parked in all disabled area and not one of them had a blue badge. Only 1 lift in operation.

Cherry Tree is a bright, spacious and modern care facility. The staff are all compassionate, caring and patient. The activities programme is very well executed. I feel happy to recommend Cherry Tree House.
