Cherry Tree House

I would definitely recommend Cherry Tree House as my Mum has been a resident for 9 years.

My late father's overall care was good. There were a couple of issues that cropped up in relation to updates and Dad not always being amenable to having showers etc. We did manage to resolve with the staff when we communicated our concerns. One point to make, there wasn't much personal information about my dad's life on his care notes i.e. about his interests, job pre-retiring, myself and my brother did visit often and could have been asked about his background. My father's end-of-life care within the care home was excellent, cannot fault the team on this. They ensured my father had a dignified, pain-free, last few days, communication was not lacking at all in what was needed and the care home was swift to get things in place to make dad's last days peaceful, dignified, and pain-free. The staff were very compassionate, respectful, and supportive to both my father and family that visited particularly in his final few days, we are very grateful to the care team for this.

The lady at the reception is very nice and is always happy and you can get free hot drinks and water from the reception. The staff are very kind, and the activities are good as well and they let me get involved with what's on when I come and visit my grandad.

You always get a nice welcome when you go to the care home and get free hot drinks all the staff are great they are very friendly and the lady in reception is always there with a smile on her face and very polite as well it is a great care home my dad has been in there now for about 4 years now.

I struggle with my Mum's health and the staff support me and the family which means the world. Thank you.

Overall good service, would like more contact from the home with updates on how she is and what she does with days, etc.

Really happy with the care my mother-in-law is receiving at Cherry Tree House the staff are very approachable and are always willing to help, the way she's settled is amazing and it really gives us peace of mind.

The staff is excellent and very friendly, nice rooms - I think depending on who is on shift my grandad's support isn't always there 100% e.g. visits afternoon and still has cereal all over him sometimes as late as 3 pm, and he has a big fluffy sheet to direct to skin and not a bedding sheet (he gets sweaty with a fluffy sheet to the skin) also stoma bag can be full ready to burst but can be left.

Lovely home, like a little hotel, very good. When I tell people where my partner lives I am happy and wouldn't move her anywhere. She has settled well, I am happy with the staff and services. In general, I am very happy with the home.

Lovely clean home. The care my Mother receives is excellent. The staff are good with residents too. The staff treats residents with care and dignity.

I feel so much relief knowing she's in a place she likes and knowing she's settled and being cared for in an amazing way.

My mum moved into Cherry Tree in Feb 2024. She was made to feel very welcome. Her room was changed straight away after a problem with the carpet. My mum has settled well. The staff on Romiley have been very caring and shown dignity and respect to my mum at all times. Very happy with everything. The admin team has been excellent with any queries I have had - The front-of-house staff is very friendly and welcoming.

I find the staff most helpful and very friendly, they treat the patients with great respect.

A lovely care home. My mum has been here for a few months now, and I am very impressed with the care my mum has received. She is always treated with dignity, respect and kindness. The staff are lovely and always quick to respond to my mum's needs.

Cherry Tree has been fantastic in caring for both my mum and dad. The staff got to know them both and seemed to care about them and their needs. All staff are caring, patient, and friendly with residents and family. It's a huge weight off my mind to know they are so well looked after.

Too often in bed throughout the day. Mum enjoys listening and watching activities, residents could do with constant music or old films as they all sang along a couple of weeks ago. Not just our Mum. Making sure Mum gets to watch and listen to the live music that is on a different ward. She often seems very flat, but music gives her happiness. It's still a learning curve we hope gets better.

My sister has been at Cherry Tree for six years. Her well-being and care were second to none, but since Covid, things took a dramatic change - most of the problems were bank staff. When another manager came, things improved. We now have a new manager (permanent), and I have already seen some very good changes, which I feel more comfortable about my sister being there and looked after.

My mum was admitted to Cherry Tree House following a long hospital stay. Mum has sadly passed away but the care assistants and nurses were considerate and patient in the care they provided. At the end, the staff treated Mum with the utmost respect and dignity, they were compassionate, giving us an appropriate balance between privacy and support. We cannot thank the staff enough for everything that they did.
