Cherry Tree House

My mum came to Cherry Tree House Care Home following a hospital stay, the care home is really lovely and clean with spacious bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. The staff are amazing and are so kind, caring and patient in looking after Mum and all the residents, they go above and beyond to help them and make sure they are happy. I have been so pleased with the care she has received. Mum has actually thought she has been staying in a hotel. A big thank you to you all, highly recommend.

The nurses at Cherry Tree House Care Home are so kind, supportive and professional.

Lovely room, took in pictures etc. to make it feel more homely. Staff, and I mean all, from the lovely cleaner, the ladies do an excellent job of keeping all his clothes and bedding pristine, all the carers, nurses and reception, just everyone. He says the food is very good and has plenty of cups o tea, in his words he's well cared for, warm and safe which gives me peace of mind.

Two rabbits as pets, great idea.

My father was only in Cherry Tree House Care Home for two months and has sadly passed away. The care my father received could not be faulted. He was always warm and comfortable, clean and shaved. The staff were always approachable, honest and open about my father's condition. All the staff from reception, administration, management, nursing and care staff showed such care and compassion, not only with my father but also with my 92-year-old mother and our family. I cannot thank the manager and her team enough for the care they gave. I would highly recommend Cherry Tree House to anyone who is looking for the best care possible for their relative.

When I phoned my dad I often heard laughter in the background. The staff seemed well supported too and it was a happy environment for my dad to be in. The manager and assistant manager were also really helpful.

I am aware that the home suffers staff retention issues and relies (sometimes heavily) on agency staff which can result in inexperienced staff being asked to 'fill in' when experienced staff are not available.

Very caring staff. Keep me informed of my wife's welfare during a time when visits ate not allowed. Have restarted window visits. Cannot answer some ratings as visits inside the home are not allowed.

The nursing team have all been amazing.

I am the son-in-law of one of the residents who has been living there for over two years. In that time we noticed a decline in some aspects of the service following the departure of a well-motivated Home Manager. During the control of the new Home Manager, there had been several changes. However, it was during this time that a decline was apparent. I would like to emphasise now that we have seen a marked improvement with anticipated results that have been brought about through the attendance of the team sent in from the head office. A new Home Manager is due to arrive soon and we have been assured that we will see the continuation of the current trend of improvements. As concerned relatives of the residents, there are many who support what I have said here and we are looking forward to the future for the residents. The greatest improvement that we can see so far is in the relationship between the management and the caring staff. It is like a big family again.

Lovely surroundings. Mother was always alone when I visited. Was always very thirsty. Laundry was excellent and always fresh. Tea and coffee were always available if you went and made it. Food seemed OK, but was delivered from outside, no actual kitchen to cook food.

From walking through the front door to leaving, we're so impressed, with the calmness, the attention given to the residents, all with a caring and kind attitude. Nothing was too much trouble and so much respect shown to residents and their visitors. A great deal of tender loving care.

I came to the home with great trepidation, directly from hospital. From the word go, all the staff made me feel very welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I was allowed my privacy in a warm and well thought out room, whilst receiving all the medical help I needed. My family were made to feel welcome and I was never made to feel that I was too difficult or time-consuming for these busy and conscientious people. I will go back just to say hello and thank you again.

The staff are very caring and treat the people who live at Cherry Tree as though they are their own relatives, with kindness and compassion.

I went visiting with my friend to Cherry Tree, she was visiting her grandmother on Maple Unit. I was really impressed with the staff interactions, the decor and how friendly and caring the staff team was. All the residents looked well cared for and they were celebrating D-Day and had entertainment on. The home is beautiful and has a lovely bar area called The Marple Arms.
