The staff at Kitwood House do a fantastic job, the nurses are very observant and quick on action if there have been any problems with my Mum, the carers are kind and caring and the activities Ladies are the just the best, they organise so much for the residents with entertainment/trips and really excel in making the residents lives happier ones. I am very happy that my Mum is well looked after and has a good quality of life

Would like to thank all the staff that looked after my brother Dave . He recently passed away, this care home goes above and beyond and did everything they could for my brother, won't name the members of staff that looked after Dave as they know who they are and I thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart . I went to visit my mum on sat 1st august 2026. I was there before breakfast. A young male carer walked in with a tray of mums breakfast, said breakfast and walked out again. Mum is cannot sit up or feed herself. He just assumed I would without asking. I had to go and ask a nurse Lisa for help to sit mum up. She was very helpful indeed. He didnt come back to feed her. I ended up doing it. This isnt right. We pay £5900 per month. Its a good job I fed her. Please get weekend staff that do their job. Nurse Lisa is fabulous she deserves a medal.

My father has been in the care home for over 2 years. I have found the staff are always friendly and helpful on each visit. They also keep me informed of dad's wellbeing and any fluctuations should they occur. Whenever I am at the care home visiting dad I have seen them busily attending their routine duies however they will always stop and give me their full attention and help if I ask. To be able to achieve this relies on great teamwork. On one occasion I can recall my dad became quite ill. His carer "hit the button" prompting dad's triage of medical care up to the attendance of paramedics. Luckily dad responded to treatment and was soon in the comfort of his own room.

My husband only joined Kitwood House this month, and I expected him to have a period of unsettlement, with it being new surroundings and staff. I have been pleasantly surprised by how he has adjusted to this he is happy, (I have asked him and he said "yes" without hesitation). I can only put this down to the wonderful staff. He has been treated with dignity and respect. He finds it difficult to communicate clearly, but he is very responsive to the Health Care Assistants and loves the activities provided. The 'Pink Ladies' are brilliant and make sure he is included in the sessions. I feel relaxed knowing he is cared for so well. Thank You!

The staff at Gainsborough House are the most caring, helpful, thoughtful people I have ever come across not just in this industry but in general. My mum (who visits my dad daily) had a very nasty fall whilst taking it upon herself to help someone else. The staff were immediately there for mum with care, comfort and professional assistance. I know these lovely people will look after my dad until my mum has recovered and is able to visit dad again. Mum and I know he is safe and well looked after and it's a huge weight off our shoulders not having to worry about him. The care home is so well managed in all areas. The staff make cleaning and cooking and caring look easy. It's almost like a home from home. You just don't get this level of care in many places. We feel blessed that dad is in such a great place. 10 out of 10 doesn't seem high enough praise

Mums been a few different places and this is by far the best home she's been to . All the staff go above and beyond for the residents they show so much empathy and compassion in everything they do . It's not just a job to the staff they actually care about their residents and treat them like family . I would highly recommend this home to any families. Thankyou for everything you do

We can not praise this care home and its staff all its staff highly enough. Not only are we surrounded by beautiful well maintained buildings and garden but most importantly we are cared for by staff who genuinely care for me. We are confident that all of my health and personal needs are taken care of but also my mental health and wellbeing needs. They take the time to get to really know me. I feel safe, I feel cared for and I feel Happy so very very Happy . Not for a long time have I known that family feeling but here in Gainsborough we feel that we are not just a part of the home we are a part of the Gainsborough family and for that I can't thank them enough.

Very happy with care my Dad receives at Gainsborough House. The staff are really nice and friendly. They welcome us as a family. My Dad is very happy here. We feel part of the home and feel like we can speak to anyone for help and support

I can honestly say I have no concerns relating to Dad's care, quite the opposite, it's a huge relief to know that he's living in a safe secure environment, so a massive thank you to the team on the Renoir unit.

Kitwood House is an excellent care home where all of the staff really care for their residents, taking time to comfort and support them when needed or simply sit and chat to them. The entertainment team always have things going on and really engage the residents in music, art and all manner of activities. The home, its common areas and bedrooms are always immaculately clean. It's a lovely home for my wife where she is well cared for.

Nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful staff, carers, management, reception, and cleaning staff; the love flows not just for the resident but for the family of the resident. Thank you so much, everyone. xxx
