My wife has been in Whittle Hall for over 5 years now and I would not move her to any other care home. The whole staff from the carers, cleaners, kitchen staff, management and in fact all the staff at Whittle are angels. The entertainment and activities are excellent especially over the christmas period.
There's always something going on and in the summer months outside events like the summer barbeque with live entertainment is also tops! I know I can't name staff but the ones on my wifes unit are brilliant, 5 stars!

Watching my mum settle into Whittle Hall has been one of the biggest reliefs of my life. From the very first day, the staff treated her not just as a resident, but as a person with a history, preferences, and dignity. They took the time to learn what calms her, what makes her smile, and even the little
routines that make her feel safe.
The atmosphere is warm and genuinely homely. There's always a sense of calm with fun and laughter in the background, and staff who are always caring and attentive. Whenever I visit, Mum is comfortable - whether that's listening to the TV/music she loves, engaged in the many regular activities or simply sitting and just watching the world go by.

What stands out most is the communication. I'm kept informed, listened to, and reassured. Knowing she's cared for by people who are both highly skilled and deeply compassionate has lifted an enormous weight from my shoulders. Whittle Hall hasn't just cared for my mum; they've supported our whole family.

My brother and myself want to express our gratitude for the excellent care our mum received in her final few months. She received the very best of care and was treated with respect and all her needs were catered for. All staff were kind and gentle with her and extremely attentive checking on her constantly
without being intrusive. The staff took very good care of us all as family as well and were friendly and chatty.
We could not praise the staff and home high enough and our mum came to the end of her long life.

As a family we were delighted with the service provided by Kitwood, filling us all with the confidence and assurance that our loved one was being well cared for. Staff were warm, friendly and willing to help with everything we needed. The food was outstanding. Kitwood was always a happy environment
with lots of creative activities and social events taking place, it was most encouraging to see how invested the staff were when engaging with residents. Towards the end of life care, each and every member of staff showed kindness, sensitivity and respectfullness to our family. The care home did a sterling job with every single aspect of the care journey. Thank you Kitwood.

We would just like to say a huge thank you to all the staff on Matisse for giving professional care to our brother/brother in law P. They have been very caring and have provided a safe and nurturing place for him to live in. Prior to Gainsborough House he was in a hospital environment for 16 months
not understanding where he was or why? His social worker approached 50+ plus care homes but not one of them came out to assess him or meet him. We then approached yourselves feeling very desperate and disheartened. You came and rescued not only P but his whole family and for that we are eternally grateful. The staff are so friendly and greet you with warm smiles when you visit. The food is excellent and the home is extremely clean. I would not hesitate using you again and will definitely recommend you. Take care and thank you for all the love and care you have shown to P and family.

A belated review but much deserved. My husband was resident on Renoir for over 4 years
His complex needs were well met by the team. Their care, compassion & understanding was wonderful
They not only cared for him, but our family too during his stay, staff became our extended family,
Cannot speak
too highly of them. The facilities
& activities were tailored to each residents needs
Meals were plentiful & nourishing with snacks & drinks always available. His passing was made so much easier by their love & support.

After eight years of caring for my mom, I reached a point where I could no longer give her the level of support she truly deserved. The thought of placing her in someone else's care was overwhelming at first, but I knew she needed professional help. Now, after five weeks at Kitwood, I am deeply grateful
for everything the staff has done. They are not only wonderful at their jobs, but they also bring genuine warmth and kindness to every interaction. The activities and meals are excellent, and every resident is treated with such respect and compassion.
What surprised me most was how quickly mom felt like home, right from her very first day. That sense of comfort and safety is entirely thanks to the amazing team at Kitwood. I can honestly say that seeing my mom so happy and settled means the world to me. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for making this transition so much easier for both of us.

My mum is a resident on Renoir she's been here since been discharged from hospital in 2023 mum had lived at our family home for many years and we worried about how she would be in a new environment, but them worries soon disappeared when we got to know the staff on Renoir's unit and can see how caring

My husband has been in Renoir at Gainsborough House since discharged from hospital 2 weeks ago. He has alzheimers, type 2 diabetes & coeliac. I was concerned about his gluten free food, but I needn't have worried. He is safe and hasn't been frightened. By day 3 he was settled and loved the staff. The
staff are kind, caring, professional and their care is person centered. My only hope is I can have him stay here after this period of respite. Everywhere smells and looks clean I would recommend Gainsborough House to anyone who needs dementia nursing care for their loved one.

Highly recommended.
There is always a friendly and welcoming greeting as soon as you walk into reception.
The carers are excellent, provide any updates requested and even offer a drink.
The entertainment and activities are clearly enjoyed by everyone, vary according to residents needs and something
is available every day.
There is a weekly food menu and is very appetizing.
I can honestly say that every member of the team knows my husband and always speak to him on every unit.
The management always engage with him and I feel that he is absolutely cared for and kept safe in Kitwood.
