The staff at Kitwood House do a fantastic job, the nurses are very observant and quick on action if there have been any problems with my Mum, the carers are kind and caring and the activities Ladies are the just the best, they organise so much for the residents with entertainment/trips and really excel in making the residents lives happier ones. I am very happy that my Mum is well looked after and has a good quality of life

In my opinion Kitwood deserves an accolade as a centre of excellence for dementia care.

My husband only joined Kitwood House this month, and I expected him to have a period of unsettlement, with it being new surroundings and staff. I have been pleasantly surprised by how he has adjusted to this he is happy, (I have asked him and he said "yes" without hesitation). I can only put this down to the wonderful staff. He has been treated with dignity and respect. He finds it difficult to communicate clearly, but he is very responsive to the Health Care Assistants and loves the activities provided. The 'Pink Ladies' are brilliant and make sure he is included in the sessions. I feel relaxed knowing he is cared for so well. Thank You!

The staff at Gainsborough House are the most caring, helpful, thoughtful people I have ever come across not just in this industry but in general. My mum (who visits my dad daily) had a very nasty fall whilst taking it upon herself to help someone else. The staff were immediately there for mum with care, comfort and professional assistance. I know these lovely people will look after my dad until my mum has recovered and is able to visit dad again. Mum and I know he is safe and well looked after and it's a huge weight off our shoulders not having to worry about him. The care home is so well managed in all areas. The staff make cleaning and cooking and caring look easy. It's almost like a home from home. You just don't get this level of care in many places. We feel blessed that dad is in such a great place. 10 out of 10 doesn't seem high enough praise

Mums been a few different places and this is by far the best home she's been to . All the staff go above and beyond for the residents they show so much empathy and compassion in everything they do . It's not just a job to the staff they actually care about their residents and treat them like family . I would highly recommend this home to any families. Thankyou for everything you do

We can not praise this care home and its staff all its staff highly enough. Not only are we surrounded by beautiful well maintained buildings and garden but most importantly we are cared for by staff who genuinely care for me. We are confident that all of my health and personal needs are taken care of but also my mental health and wellbeing needs. They take the time to get to really know me. I feel safe, I feel cared for and I feel Happy so very very Happy . Not for a long time have I known that family feeling but here in Gainsborough we feel that we are not just a part of the home we are a part of the Gainsborough family and for that I can't thank them enough.

I can honestly say I have no concerns relating to Dad's care, quite the opposite, it's a huge relief to know that he's living in a safe secure environment, so a massive thank you to the team on the Renoir unit.

Kitwood House is an excellent care home where all of the staff really care for their residents, taking time to comfort and support them when needed or simply sit and chat to them. The entertainment team always have things going on and really engage the residents in music, art and all manner of activities. The home, its common areas and bedrooms are always immaculately clean. It's a lovely home for my wife where she is well cared for.

Nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful staff, carers, management, reception, and cleaning staff; the love flows not just for the resident but for the family of the resident. Thank you so much, everyone. xxx

The whole team are amazing can't thank them enough for what they do looking after Marshall my dad. The team are so caring supporting and but on great activities for all the residents. I feel so at easy that my dad is being looked after an amazing team

The care my loved one gets is exceptional, the staff have become extended family. My loved one is well fed, safe, plenty of company and we couldn't ask for more.

From the first week my mum arrived at Kitwood my expereince has been positive. For the first time in a long time I was able to relax knowing she was being looked after by a kind, empathetic and caring team with lots of activities, lots of company and the special care she needed. I can't thank you all enough for your kindness and support throughout her stay. Nothing has been too much trouble and the support I received as a daughter of a resident has been amazing. Thank you.

From arrival, she was treated with total dignity and respect. Staff were exceptional from the beginning, and all throughout her stay. They made sure she was comfortable and tried their very best at feeding her. She is now at end of life and the sympathy and care all the family receive is totally commendable. The staff here are so aware of the needs of each individual resident. They make it such a friendly atmosphere to visit and include you in decision making and activities. Always greeted with a friendly smile.

Our dad came to Gainsborough House straight from being in hospital for 3 months. He was on Matisse for 15 months and was cared for with compassion and respect. The staff on this unit are extremely caring and professionaland all his needs were catered for with compassion. He gain the weight he had lost whilst being in hospital as the food was 10/10 (he especially liked the desserts!) Thank you to all the staff at Gainsborough House for your warm welcomes + support during his stay.

My dad has stayed at kitwood House for the last 3 years,due to his dementia,on northern bell,I would like to say they are an amazing team,couldn't fault them at all the facilities are second to none,clean and tidy, Dementia is a complex disease and very upsetting, but the staff are there every step of the way, they will talk you through the different steps you go through you can go to see your relatives anytime night or day, there's always entertainment on and different activities you can join in,also hairdressers and personal care,They get to know your family members personally and know what their needs are, thank you so much for caring for my dad you are amazing

My husband has been a resident in Gainsborough House since Aug 2024. There is always a warm welcome on entering and on his unit. I visit at many different times and witness first hand that he is treated with great care and dignity. The staff are very responsive to his needs which gives me peace of mind and confidence that he is safe and well cared for.
