My sister has lived at Cherry Tree House for 18 months now and we continue to feel so fortunate that we were able to secure this place for her. We feel confident that she is safe; staff are kind, responsive and her needs are met.
Positives:
Many permanent and regular staff; aids familiarity and suggests a happy team.
Visible 'Whole home approach'
Management team responsive to requests to review needs etc.
Much food freshly prepared, with lots of treats and events.
Loads of activities that really happen every week, and capacity for 1:1 if identified.
Negatives
Only real negative is poor unit/family communication. This is an ongoing issue. Doesn't appear to be a policy for responding to emails or cascading information, which is frustrating. That said, however, we have always been contacted very timely in the event of deterioration in presentation or an emergency, so remain confident that if urgent, contact would be made.
We continue to be happy with Cherry Tree.
