The manager of the section has also been there for me when I've visited and Dad is difficult. The disease has taken away parts of his brain for self control, so his core state is one where he believes he doesn't have anything wrong with him and should not be there, although he doesn't know where he is.

nurses highly enough, especially Emmy. The rooms are spacious, with wet room ensuites and are kept clean and well maintained. I have been very happy with my husbands care and know he is safe here, which helps my mental health. My mum was a resident here until July 2021 which is why I wanted my husband to come here to. I too feel well supported by the homes staff.

very open and honest and if we, as a family, ever have an queries/concerns they are acted upon swiftly. The home has a wide range of entertainment and activities to cater to all tastes. The chair sports programme has been great as it shows my Dad still has fantastic co-ordination. I particularly love that you can visit at any time of day and are not restricted to how long you stay. At a previous care home the "protected meal times" really impacted any quality time we could spend with my Dad so the freedom of visiting hours has felt very liberating! It is tastefully decorated and very smart, a real home from home- with all rooms ensuite. Overall, can't fault the place!

about my dad's life on his care notes i.e. about his interests, job pre-retiring, myself and my brother did visit often and could have been asked about his background. My father's end-of-life care within the care home was excellent, cannot fault the team on this. They ensured my father had a dignified, pain-free, last few days, communication was not lacking at all in what was needed and the care home was swift to get things in place to make dad's last days peaceful, dignified, and pain-free. The staff were very compassionate, respectful, and supportive to both my father and family that visited particularly in his final few days, we are very grateful to the care team for this.
