Ryeview Manor Care Home provides a warm, comfortable and friendly environment for both my parents that is sensitive to their differing care needs. We have been able to create a good rapport with the management and care staff, and also some other residents and their families, which helps to enhance the
family community of this home. The building is well laid out. The care staff are reliable and attentive. The catering staff work hard to accommodate individual needs and preferences. The activities team puts much effort into devising interesting and stimulating activities for all residents. My parents have enjoyed a much-improved quality of life at this home.

They have to increase the activities, including more physical activities/exercise. The food/drink needs to be improved with more choice and variety.

My mum is a new resident at Ryeview Manor Care Home and it was a hard decision for me to have to make. From my first meeting with a member of staff through to mums assessment I felt reassured that she would be looked after in the best way possible.

My mum has been living at Ryeview for nearly two years and it is a home from home. The staff are fabulous, very caring and nothing is too much trouble. My mum has high needs and her care has been exceptional. Her room is always clean and tidy and always smells lovely. The meals are fantastic! The chefs
are creative but also there are many home cooked favourites that the residents love.
I love Ryeview and am so happy that my mum lives there. The manager and her team deserve a medal!

Good, caring staff. Mum treated with dignity and respect. Management keen to ensure any "niggles" are taken care of quickly. Conscious of improving quality and standards and maintaining the level of care at all times. I am happy my mum is being taken care of for her "however long" years.

This is a delightful place to visit. Everyone is so friendly. It is the best care home I have visited. There seems to be so much to do after listening to different people.

The care my mother has received over the last 10 months has been excellent. The food remains an issue as she cannot chew food easily and, although it can be cut up for her, it is still difficult. Roast potatoes become 'leathery' and she only eats the middle. Sometimes no vegetables are served and she
'does not like to ask for them'. But, the staff always try to help her with her routine ie. tea in her won room because she wants to watch TV.
It is her own fault that she does not join in events but she could be persuaded but she needs to be taken along and time is a difficult commodity to manage for you.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.887)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.887) out of 10 for Ryeview Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 10 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.4 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.508 for Ryeview Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (82 Excellents x 5) + (27 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) + (3 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 120 Ratings = 4.508
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.379 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Ryeview Manor Care Home is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 94 registered maximum number of service users is 18.8. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 18.8 = 0.479
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2025

I began my career in care over 20 years ago, driven by a deep passion for making a positive impact on people’s lives and a genuine desire to support those in need with compassion and commitment. From the very start, I found immense fulfilment in helping individuals maintain their dignity and quality of life while building meaningful connections along the way.

Over the past 10 years with B&M Care, I have had the privilege of growing within the company, starting as a Senior Care Assistant and progressively taking on more responsibility. Completing the Leadership Pathway Management course was a pivotal moment in my journey with B&M, equipping me with the essential skills and knowledge to transition into management.

My dedication to the values of compassion, connection, and commitment—along with continuous personal and professional development—ultimately led me to my current role as Interim Home Manager, where I have the opportunity to lead and inspire a dedicated team in delivering exceptional care to our residents.
