Angelcare Residential Living

The staff are lovely and very attentive and my mother feels well looked after. So if you're looking for a care home for a family member or friend, look no further, Angelcare is the place to go!

All the staff and home makers are very approachable and keep me informed about my Dads care, health and wellbeing. They take time to understand my Dads needs and treat him with respect, dignity, patience and genuine kindness. Knowing that my Dad is safe and cared for is so important to me as I no longer can support his needs and knowing he is treated with the warmth and dignity he deserves is so important too.

Our father reached the point where he needed more substantial care following a fall and moved into Ing Wood in February 2025. The care has been excellent. The management focus and how the nursing home is run, is very good and all the nursing staff and the wider management team are very friendly and dedicated to looking after all the residents. Dad feels well looked after and safe in case he has any immediate medical issues.

From the moment I contacted Angelcare they were amazingly helpful and supportive. What was a very stressful and difficult situation they were just so kind and did everything they could to help us and support us at such an upsetting time. They all made my mum feel so welcome and comfortable and we have found all the staff to be so kind and caring and they can't do enough for her and she is always saying how lovely everyone is. It's lovely and clean and the food is just amazing ! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Angelcare the staff are wonderful.

He chose the home himself and has no regrets.

If I was looking for a home for a loved one, I would pick Angelcare every time. They were brilliant with my mother. She went in when she could no longer live at home and they did so much for her. All the staff were great and treated her so well and with so much respect, affording her the dignity she needed. She wasn't able to eat much and the staff and the chef did everything they could to find food she would like. I loved how both the staff and the management would spend time with Mum just chatting to her and properly listening to her. Her medical needs were attended to and they were very proactive about sorting out her condition and making her as comfortable as possible. And I also found the management and staff to be brilliant with me, they guided me through the process, listened to any concerns I had, and acted on them immediately. They were so supportive and collaborative. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

On the day of moving mum in, when emotions were at their highest Tom and his amazing team took over and reassured me that all would be ok and we were in safe hands. Little did I know then that those words were so true. Mum has been a resident for a few months now and has settled very well. Continuous care from all the staff ensures that mum is in the best health she can be. Compassion and dignity is shown from everyone and mum thinks she's in a hotel with lovely people who can't do enough for her. We know mum is in the safest place. We can ask them anything and they act on any concern or requests and if you visit anytime of the day or week they are all working hard at offering the best care for your loved one. We have meals with mum and enjoy family time with her in the various rooms set up for activities/quiet time as well as being able to sit comfortably in her room with her. Thank you everyone at Angelcare for offering a place of safety, reassurance and compassion for our mum.

Angelcare is a well run and genuinely caring residential care home. My father was there for the last six months of his life, and throughout that time we felt that the staff were very attentive to his needs, including his need for some sociable banter and fun in his day to day interactions, and very communicative with us about his care. As his appetite decreased they went out of their way to find food he would enjoy and to support him with eating. They were very observant to any changes in him and proactive in seeking medical advice where needed. There is a good morale and ethos among the staff which seems genuinely supportive and respectful as between each other rather than hierarchical. This respect and positive working environment fosters a good atmosphere for the residents and good cooperation in tending to residents' needs. All levels of staff and management are very available to relatives to discuss any concerns with.

The food is fantastic, the on-site bar is a bonus, the rooms are decorated superbly, it's warm, cosy, and a home from home.

I am unable to visit my Aunt as often as I would like. I am confident that she is receiving first-class care and that I will be contacted if necessary. She is happier than she has been in years. My aim was to find a home that compared to the 'hotel life' my Aunt had been used to in her 'hay days'. Angelcare fits the bill perfectly. The staff are excellent and attentive. The food and entertainment are amazing. I'm very happy with the communications I receive and the kindness the staff show me and my Aunt. Couldn't be happier or more relieved that we found Angelcare.

My mum had a bad fall and needed respite coming out for hospital, mum is 89 and really wanted to be back home with a little bit of help, but a after a few weeks in Angelcare Residential Living, mum was settled and so well looked after. mum started calling Angelcare home. I could write so much but if I was reading the review for my loved ones all I would want to read is, the staff are amazing, kind, have time for my mum. Angelcare is clean, never smells, clean towels every day. It's like a hotel and nursing home all in one.

Absolutely first class from start to finish, welcoming friendly, and attentive. They sorted my Dad out to the point where he was able to move back home and look after himself after 3 weeks in hospital, 5 months in respite allowed him the time he needed to recover.

Angel Care staff and facilities allowed Dad to heal superbly after being very unwell having spent several weeks in hospital. He is now back at his home after 5 months of rest-bite care. As a family, we were always warmly welcomed to attend events and support Dad's recovery. Dad ate very well and managed to build up some of the weight that he had lost, which was thanks to the chefs and staff. We felt very lucky to have found such a home and continue to be thankful.

I'm very thankful for the professional caring support shown to Dad and our family at a difficult time. All the staff members can't do enough for either Dad or ourselves. We experienced nothing more than a warm welcoming home were Dad and our family enjoyed the food and activities which were personalised as much as possible with lots of varied entertainment.

Having just moved into a home of my own for the first time in over 60 years I luckily came across Angelcare through friends in a similar position who have guided me through the difficult task of finding a home of my own in completely different circumstances. I was very lucky to be helped by various times and people to the Angelcare community who have led me through the Angelcare association to the loving care and helpful family through to the loving care to the rest of my life.

My mother-in-law has been in here 2 years. The home has worked tirelessly to try to motivate her, to get her to experience day trips out, offer the option of any food that will encourage her to eat, the manager and his team are truly amazing nothing is too much trouble.

My Mum has been at Angelcare for over a year now. As soon as she moved in she was made to feel welcome and once settled became part of the Angelcare family. All the team and Angelcare are caring, friendly, and professional. When visiting as soon as you walk through the door you are made to feel welcome. I would have no hesitation in recommending Angelcare to anyone.

I know he is happy at Angelcare. He looks healthy and even a bit younger. It's a huge comfort.

The staff are very caring and look after my stepmother very well. She has dementia and doesn't usually remember who I am but always says how lucky she is to be in Angelcare (she often says it several times in one conversation). The food is good and her room is always clean and there are several organised activities each week.

My parents couldn't have had better care in their later years.
