Angelcare Residential Living

On behalf of my husband, he was very happy with the quality of care and attention. His problem was mobility and most of the residents had dementia so the conversation side of his stay was quite difficult as they were together.

Our mom came for 10 days respite so that we could all go on a well-earned holiday. She had a super, spacious en-suite room. Mom settled well, ate well, and sang on Tuesdays. We think she really benefited from the company throughout the visit. Mom has now settled well back in to her home routine. Angelcare has given us peace of mind and confidence that we can go away again in September. Thank you to all the staff for your professionalism.

When Mother acknowledged that she was ready to be looked after (at 98 and a half) and asked us to find her a really nice place we looked around. At first, I discounted Angelcare as I had not heard of it, but am so glad I was drawn back to it. The managers and team are amazing. Mother has a beautiful, well-appointed room looking out over Greetland and the countryside in 2 directions. She can join in with numerous activities or stay in her room and be waited on. This is a newly opened Residential Home with everyone making an effort to find out what works best and we are very impressed by the professionalism coupled with the warmth and friendship of all the staff. (Don't be put off if there are still vacancies - they are just setting up post covid.)

Dad has been at Angelcare for 10 months now, and he has gone from strength to strength over that time. He was always dead against going into a care home, as he likes to feel useful, but he settled into his new home remarkably quickly. The staff are wonderful and have done everything possible to make him feel at home, even letting him 'take care' of the plants in the outside space during the summer months. It is a huge relief to know that Dad is being well cared for and is happy.

My Great Grandad has been a resident here for a short period of time so far, but the attention to detail from the management to the care team has been nothing short of exceptional. The level of detail the management go through to provide a fresh produce menu each week is exemplary, along with a detailed care action plan to meet my great grandad's needs. I am fully confident my grandad's final years will not just be satisfied but also fully enriched with the level of service this care home provides.

My sister and I cannot speak more highly of Angelcare. From our first contact and weekend appointment with the manager to view the home, our Dad was welcomed 2 days later. The manager worked hard to ensure that everything was in place to receive him from hospital. The staff have all worked together over the last 5 weeks to work with our Dad and meet all his personal needs. They have especially worked hard to encourage him to eat, a huge concern for us at the time. The staff have gone over and beyond to embrace our Dad as family, shopping for energy drinks for him and taking his glasses to be mended. The home is lovely, light, and airy with beautiful views and a seating layout that encourages a family atmosphere. Our Dad’s bedroom is well-appointed and cosy. We have peace of mind now that our Dad is and will be well cared for.

Beautiful, clean, friendly, and very well-run care home. I had no worries or guilt putting my dad in for respite. He always looks clean and very happy whenever we visited him. The staff and management are always friendly and tell us everything, even if they have had a difficult time with my dad. They put on entertainment for the residents, we really enjoyed the singer last month.

A fabulous respite/care home. Dad was looked after for a week. The staff were all welcoming and caring. Dad was visited at home prior to his visit to respite care, this was a good introduction. All his needs were discussed and put into place for his visit. I rang most days for an update. The staff were helpful and had knowledge of how dad was getting on. I was finding it extremely difficult to get respite care for my wife who is only 50. Most homes will not take under 65s. Then I found Angelcare. From the very first telephone call, I felt very welcome. The owners, management, and staff were very helpful and knew exactly what my wife needed. She has been twice now and thoroughly enjoyed herself. I would not hesitate to recommend Angelcare, everybody was polite, professional, and understood my and my wife's needs.

Lovely clean care home, staff were so friendly. There are three rooms in which the residents can relax and enjoy the view or mix with other residents. The bedroom was spacious and well furnished with own tv and bathroom. Overall very satisfied and made a huge difference to have a holiday without worrying about leaving a 93 year old at home alone. Thank you to the Resident Manager and the Operations Manager, and all the staff.

Fantastic team, my stay was great. I was treated with dignity and respect for my whole stay. The manager runs a good team and my stay was very pleasant. Would highly recommend and would welcome anyone to contact if they have any reservations.

From the commencement of care it has been clear that this home is of the highest quality. The building, decorations, furnishings and uses are of an exceptional high standard. However, and more importantly, the care exhibited is first class both in group and individual settings. My wife very quickly was supported in settling in and is now content.

My Mother in Law has been a resident for 5 months now. The care and attention she receives from all staff is exemplary although she has become close with one in particular who always makes sure Mum's hair is done and nails polished. This girl is a perfect example of individual care that the home can/does provide. The manager is excellent both in his care to the residents and in answering any questions or concerns. Also because of the pandemic, activities have had to be curtailed as with every other care home, however, the girl in charge of said activities has done her utmost to keep residents happy and occupied. It would be unfair to mark the home down as when restrictions lift there will be outings and entertainers allowed back in. Finally, the food, residents' favourite foods are noted and every effort is made to ensure they receive their choices, in Mother in Law's case, fish. As tasted at visiting times the homemade cakes are top class. A 5* care home with wonderful staff and manager.

The staff at Angelcare are just lovely. They clearly care very deeply for the well-being of their residents, treating them with respect and finding ways in which to brighten their days. As visitors we also feel very well looked after and part of the Angelcare family.

My 91-year-old Mother arrived at this home in December. She has been made to feel extremely welcome. The staff have become her friends and have given her lots of personal attention and will take her out for some fresh air weather permitting which she thoroughly enjoys. The meals are catered to the individual's requirements and the staff and management are happy to ensure their favourite foods are widely available. The carers ensure that they spend lots of time with activities which my Mother enjoys. The home is spotlessly clean and my Mother has a nice modern en-suite room which is very comfortable, possessions from home such as framed photographs, pictures or their favourite ornaments are encouraged. Management and staff have been excellent in allowing us to visit, we have lateral flow tests each time we go and this ensures that both myself and my Mother can see each other regularly. Telephone calls are also plentiful. An excellent home where my Mother is very happy and well cared for.

My 95-year-old mother has recently moved to this home. Everyone has been most welcoming and helpful. The staff are both friendly and professional and have made her moving in during the second lockdown as easy and pleasant as possible. I am particularly pleased to see that they take a nuanced approach to keeping visiting safe so that I will be able to see my mother and its very easy to get to speak to her by phone.

The staff tell me that Angelcare are an established home care company and this is their first venture into providing residential care. They have recently opened after spending some years refurbishing the building and the staff have obvious pride in it. Their pride in their place and their service seems to stem from a genuine passion to provide excellent care and quality of life for those in their latter years. I find this refreshing, compared with other experience my mother and I have had over the past few months.

My aunt recently moved to Angelcare Residential Living and is settling in nicely. The quality of care given is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff have taken her out for a walk in the local area, calling for a coffee which she loves. Many thanks for looking after her.

From our initial contact we have been treated with respect and all needs have been taken on board. Upon my aunt's arrival she was treated with dignity and the management and staff have cared and supported her. All needs have been met. The rooms are clean and comfortable, meals are catered to the individual resident. Activities have been arranged to encourage engagement. Safety and security are excellent but discreet. The overall atmosphere is like a hotel rather than a care home.
