When my mum went into Angelcare she weighed 7 stone, she was depressed and offered little or no communication. Since going into the home, she now weighs a healthy 9 stone, she has her hair done twice a week and she loves having her nails done. Mum has been on all the trips, she loves going out with
the team. Recently Mum has started to enjoy a game of Bingo, something she has never done before. On her milestone birthday, she was treated like a queen, nothing is too much trouble for the team.
Mum has the flexibility to wander downstairs or stay in her room. Mum has been able to take her own pictures etc. which makes it more home from home. Fresh fruit is available in her room together with the odd bar of chocolate, her favourite treat. I can't praise Angelcare highly enough.

It is reassuring to see that Dad continues to be happy and well cared for at Angelcare, he is warm, comfortable and well-fed, he always enjoyed his food and he still does! Whilst there are plenty of activities available, he has the freedom to choose how he spends his days; he is quite content and he
tells us how lucky he is.
The home put on a party for his milestone birthday a couple of years back and he is looking forward to the next one in the new year!

Mum has settled really well. The care that I have seen is outstanding. All the staff are kind and friendly. Nothing is ever too much bother. My mum is treated as an individual and every effort has been made to cater for her specific likes, dislikes, hobbies and interests. Family are welcomed at all
times and included in their relative's activities where possible when desired. A proper home from home.

Angelcare residential living is an excellent care home starting from the carers through to the management team, nothing is too much to ask, the service from the pre-admission to my loved one moving in was seamless, the home decor is outstanding, the home is clean and tidy and smells beautiful and the
food! So much choice even steaks are on the menu! The activities are always ongoing with bi-weekly singers. I 100% made the right decision and do not regret it! I highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a lovely caring home for their loved one, these guys take extra special care and go above and beyond. Thank you Angelcare Team.

Staff are kind and caring. They go out of their way when it is a resident's birthday. Birthday balloons, presents, and birthday tea. I love the fact that wine is served with meals. What a treat making the home appear more like a hotel. Fabulous entertainment programme too. Nothing appears too much trouble.
My mother is very happy, so I am too.

We had cause to use Angelcare Residential Living in Halifax for a family member during December and Christmas of 2021. The family member is age 70 plus and suffers with Parkinson's and requires constant support. Her Husband and carer was having surgery hence the need to seek residential care for the
family member. We looked at a couple of other facilities which were nice but just didn't have 'it.' Not really sure what 'it' was! Within five minutes of walking through the door at Angelcare and only getting as far as the grand entrance, we knew that this is where our family member would be staying. The Director gave a warm welcome taking time to explain what they had to offer residents. He showed us around the facilities which we were most impressed with. We were not disappointed. The staff were amazing throughout the stay. Nothing was any trouble. The standard of care was first class. I want to say more but there isn't room to on here.

My husband spent six weeks at Angelcare Residential Living after being discharged from hospital having suffered a major stroke. The care he received during his stay was excellent and the staff were exceptionally kind and considerate. The management team were very accommodating and willing to go the
extra mile whenever possible. The home is spotlessly clean and well presented and offers a variety of activities. I would have no hesitation in recommending Angelcare Residential Living to anyone needing compassionate care for a family member or friend.

I cannot rate this residential care home highly enough. Staff have worked very hard to support and settle my mum in and to ensure that she has access to wrap-around care. It is a huge relief to know that she is safe and cared for with dignity and respect.

On behalf of my husband, he was very happy with the quality of care and attention. His problem was mobility and most of the residents had dementia so the conversation side of his stay was quite difficult as they were together.

Our mom came for 10 days respite so that we could all go on a well-earned holiday. She had a super, spacious en-suite room. Mom settled well, ate well, and sang on Tuesdays. We think she really benefited from the company throughout the visit. Mom has now settled well back in to her home routine. Angelcare

When Mother acknowledged that she was ready to be looked after (at 98 and a half) and asked us to find her a really nice place we looked around. At first, I discounted Angelcare as I had not heard of it, but am so glad I was drawn back to it. The managers and team are amazing. Mother has a beautiful,
well-appointed room looking out over Greetland and the countryside in 2 directions. She can join in with numerous activities or stay in her room and be waited on. This is a newly opened Residential Home with everyone making an effort to find out what works best and we are very impressed by the professionalism coupled with the warmth and friendship of all the staff. (Don't be put off if there are still vacancies - they are just setting up post covid.)

Dad has been at Angelcare for 10 months now, and he has gone from strength to strength over that time. He was always dead against going into a care home, as he likes to feel useful, but he settled into his new home remarkably quickly. The staff are wonderful and have done everything possible to make
him feel at home, even letting him 'take care' of the plants in the outside space during the summer months. It is a huge relief to know that Dad is being well cared for and is happy.

My Great Grandad has been a resident here for a short period of time so far, but the attention to detail from the management to the care team has been nothing short of exceptional. My sister and I cannot speak more highly of Angelcare. From our first contact and weekend appointment with the manager to view the home, our Dad was welcomed 2 days later. The manager worked hard to ensure that everything was in place to receive him from hospital. The staff have all worked together
over the last 5 weeks to work with our Dad and meet all his personal needs. They have especially worked hard to encourage him to eat, a huge concern for us at the time. The staff have gone over and beyond to embrace our Dad as family, shopping for energy drinks for him and taking his glasses to be mended. The home is lovely, light, and airy with beautiful views and a seating layout that encourages a family atmosphere. Our Dad’s bedroom is well-appointed and cosy. We have peace of mind now that our Dad is and will be well cared for.

Beautiful, clean, friendly, and very well-run care home. I had no worries or guilt putting my dad in for respite. He always looks clean and very happy whenever we visited him. The staff and management are always friendly and tell us everything, even if they have had a difficult time with my dad. They
put on entertainment for the residents, we really enjoyed the singer last month.

She is responsible for overseeing compliance of the home, ensuring we are fully working within the guidance of the CQC.


Zoe is also the Registered Manager for our homecare service.

Dionne

Dionne Waterworth

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2022

Dionne joined the home in May 2022. Dionne has worked in a care home environment for the last 13 years. She has completed Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care and many other courses. Dionne is responsible for overseeing our care home under the management team ensuring our residents are 100% satisfied and well looked after.

Sherridan

Sherridan Walters

Job Title: Home Maker Joined: 2023

Sherridan joined Angelcare Residential Living in May 2023 and has previous care experience with over 23+ years of experience, Sherridan was previously a children’s nurse and completed her Nursing Diploma in NMC for Children.


Sherridan has a very kind and caring nature and is a true asset to the team, she brings a wealth of experience to our team.

Lisa

Lisa Booth

Job Title: Head Housekeeper Joined: 2022

Lisa joined our team in March 2022. Lisa has worked in several care homes prior to coming to Angelcare Residential Living. Lisa since joining has completed many courses to enable her to do her role, such as infection control, COSHH.


Lisa is currently our Infection Control Champion.


She brings a wealth of experience to our current team and since joining has become our Head Housekeeper.
