My father has settled in well, following several disruptive months due to COVID. He seems to be enjoying the facilities and environment, and the staff are kind and understanding of his needs, with nothing too much trouble. He has a beautiful room with a view. The admissions process was uncomplicated
with plenty of information provided. I would recommend this facility.

The care and treatment that my mother has received has been exceptional and as a family, we are delighted with the home. The care staff act in a professional manner but create a friendly, loving and homely environment. Staff cater for my Mum's complex care needs with compassion and professionalism.

The home, like all others, has had to restrict all visitors and we are so grateful to know that even though we are not able to visit Mum at this time we know she is being cared for brilliantly. Thank you.
There has always been interesting and appropriate activities available that Mum has enjoyed being part of.

Appleton Lodge is an excellent facility. The rooms are clean and spacious. The care staff are really friendly and nothing is too much bother. They are extremely dedicated which is most important when dealing with residents and their families. They give a feeling that their loves ones are well cared

The staff at Appleton Lodge made it very easy to place mum in their care. They understand that it can be difficult for the family as well as the patient. The home is fresh and new and has a homely feel to it and the residents are treated as individuals, not as just another patient. I would recommend
it to anyone wanting to find a care home for a loved one.

Have recommended Appelton Lodge already and my mother had only been there a week. Very impressed with the speed of the admission process, openness and friendliness of both nurses and carers. The home itself is beautiful and my mother has a lovely room. Nothing seems too much trouble for the carers,
who treat my mother with respect and care. The coordinator is great with his activities.

When I viewed Appleton Lodge Care Facility I soon realised that it was the right place for my 95-year-old father. From day one there was a feel-good factor from all the staff, who have been excellent showing that they are attentive and most important, caring.
The home is very spacious and the rooms
are of a very good size with all requirements catered for. It has been carefully planned and I believe should be a template for future care home projects.


The residents can choose what they want, within reason, when they want it and that includes breakfast in bed. The wet rooms and bedrooms look to have most requirements for residents, ranging from hoists to showers with all the appropriate supports in place. There is a spacious community area encouraging social interaction, exercise, and stimulation. Some facilities are shared with Gavin Astor House next door, which means that residents can visit there and meet others.


All in all, we are very pleased with the home and would definitely recommend it to others.
