I found the whole process very easy. From viewing choosing a room and moving my aunt in took 6 days. Everyone has been very professional and efficient. So a lovely team, and I can now relax knowing my relative is receiving care and attention. She has settled in well and seems very happy.
We were so pleased to have found a care home like Appleton Lodge Care Facility. Amazing staff who always went the extra mile to settle dad in and cater to his eccentricities! The care home is small so all the staff can get to know each resident really well and are able to devote time to finding out what makes them tick (plenty of soup and ice cream in dad's case). We, as a family, were apprehensive about moving dad into a home and the staff were as good with us as they were with dad. The covid rules were the only issue and it will be good when visiting is unlimited again and visitors and residents can mix in all areas of the home. The rooms are lovely (we visited a few depressing ones before finding Appleton Lodge) and the general air is one of peace and efficiency. Dad always looked clean and looked after. The admissions process was easy, helpful, and efficient. Thank you to everyone.

My father has settled well at Appleton Lodge. The staff are very caring and friendly, making lots of effort to find out about my father so they can make his stay more enjoyable. The rooms are large and very nicely decorated. My father's room has french doors opening onto a small garden, to which we can add plants and ornaments to.

My father has settled in well, following several disruptive months due to COVID. He seems to be enjoying the facilities and environment, and the staff are kind and understanding of his needs, with nothing too much trouble. He has a beautiful room with a view. The admissions process was uncomplicated with plenty of information provided. I would recommend this facility.

Appleton Lodge is an excellent facility. The rooms are clean and spacious. The care staff are really friendly and nothing is too much bother. They are extremely dedicated which is most important when dealing with residents and their families. They give a feeling that their loves ones are well cared for. Thank you to all the care staff.

The staff at Appleton Lodge made it very easy to place mum in their care. They understand that it can be difficult for the family as well as the patient. The home is fresh and new and has a homely feel to it and the residents are treated as individuals, not as just another patient. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to find a care home for a loved one.

Have recommended Appelton Lodge already and my mother had only been there a week. Very impressed with the speed of the admission process, openness and friendliness of both nurses and carers. The home itself is beautiful and my mother has a lovely room. Nothing seems too much trouble for the carers, who treat my mother with respect and care. The coordinator is great with his activities.

The home is very spacious and the rooms are of a very good size with all requirements catered for. It has been carefully planned and I believe should be a template for future care home projects.
The residents can choose what they want, within reason, when they want it and that includes breakfast in bed. The wet rooms and bedrooms look to have most requirements for residents, ranging from hoists to showers with all the appropriate supports in place. There is a spacious community area encouraging social interaction, exercise, and stimulation. Some facilities are shared with Gavin Astor House next door, which means that residents can visit there and meet others.
All in all, we are very pleased with the home and would definitely recommend it to others.
