My mother came to this home and has settled in with the care of the staff. Nothing is too much to ask. They are so caring, understanding of her needs and ours as a family who have been caring for her at home. My son says he has his Nan back. I have my Mom back. Thank you

My mother, Betty, came to Ashton Meadows on 23rd January 2026 for 3 weeks' respite care having been in hospital for 5 weeks with flu and other related illnesses. The care she received from all staff members was good, and in the 3 weeks she was there she recovered from her ill health, put on weight through regular balanced meals, and increased her mobility through physiotherapy and activities. We are happy with all aspects of Ashton Meadows and would recommend them to friends. Thank you.

"Our family is incredibly grateful for the care my mother-in-law receives here. The staff are exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive, creating a truly homely environment. The home and rooms are always nice and clean, and there is a peaceful atmosphere throughout the beautiful garden and grounds. Residents are encouraged to join in in the daily activities. We have been impressed with the standard of food which is both healthy and well prepared. We have had regular contact from the staff on how she is settling in and it feels like a warm supportive environment and we would highly recommend from what we have experienced so far. Thank you to all staff.

My mum has been at Ashton Meadows for a week, and our family has been extremely impressed with the care and support she has received. From the moment she arrived, everyone made her feel welcome and helped her settle in quickly.
The staff have been excellent-kind, caring, professional, and always approachable. They have taken the time to get to know my mum as an individual and have shown genuine compassion and patience throughout.
The home is very well managed, exceptionally clean, and has a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Communication with relatives has been reassuring, and we feel confident that my mum is being well looked after.
Her room is spacious, comfortable, and provides the perfect opportunity for her to add personal touches and make it feel like home, which has been important for her wellbeing and independence.

Although it has only been a week, our experience so far has been overwhelmingly positive. We are grateful to the entire team at Ashton Meadows.

Following a fall in which my step father broke his leg and hit his head, he had 2 weeks in hospital, we then checked him into Ashton Meadows for a month while he recovered.
He received excellent care, nursing and physiotherapy throughout his stay. I visited often and always felt welcome and that the staff were excellent as well as kind.

Thank you to everybody at Ashton Meadows who assisted in my step fathers recovery.

My mother was placed in another nursing home and we received such a poor experience.
So we transferred to Ashton meadows
Such a lovely home. Modern, clean and delightfully decorated. The staff are amazing. Always ready to assist mothers needs.

And at the same time, asking myself if there is anything I need. I could not ask for a better home for my mother to spend the rest of her days in.

Following a short stay in hospital, it was deemed unsafe for my Uncle to return to his own flat, and we therefore had to find the right home for him relatively quickly. Ashton Meadows was our first choice due to location in Kingston, but we quickly realised that it was the perfect home for him.

He settled into the home very quickly, and we are grateful for this. Staff are attentive, the facilities are great, residents and also their families are taken care of.

My Uncle's needs are currently low compared to other residents, and his priorities are simply good food and reading his daily paper, so he is a happy man!

He has been residing at Ashton Meadows since end of September 2025, so we are still gaining insight into everything the home has to offer, so can not fully review all activities etc, but so far, we are very pleased.

Overall Experience

Ashton Meadows took excellent care of my mother for several months before she eventually passed away.

Our whole family were impressed with how caring and professional everyone we encountered was. This was true in all aspects - medical, personal care, meals, activities, laundry, reception. And a special mention for the cleaning team who are so diligent at keeping the whole facility immaculate.

We felt that she was always treated with dignity, compassion and humanity. Even on her final morning she was so well looked after. It was a great comfort to us that she continued to be washed and cared for.

The physical buildings and furnishing are great, but even more important are the people. The atmosphere is very positive - and it feels like the staff really work together as a team and care about the residents and their families.

We'd highly recommend Ashton to anyone looking for an excellent nursing care facility for themselves or a loved one.

Following my spinal operation, Ashton Meadows Nursing Home was a short distance from my home. This made it convenient for friends and family to visit me.
The care and support I was offered made my stay very comfortable. The nursing staff were involved in the care of my wound and the care staff were extremely attentive and friendly.
The accommodation and facilities were top quality and frequently cleaned. I had access to a pretty garden via a French door.

Altogether it was a rewarding experience.

After spending a couple of months in hospital, my Mum was moved to Ashton Meadows for palliative care, and we couldn't have asked for a better place for her to spend her final days.

From the moment she arrived, the staff were incredibly caring, compassionate, and attentive. They made sure she was as comfortable as possible, treating her with dignity and kindness at every step.

The home itself is lovely, fresh, clean, and welcoming. Friends and family visited regularly and were always warmly welcomed by the staff, who created a supportive environment not just for Mum, but for myself and my sister too.

I can't thank the team at Ashton Meadows enough. Their care and dedication helped make a very difficult time more bearable, and I will always be grateful. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, professional care for their loved one.
