Mum has been in the care home for a year now and the level of care has been amazing. The care staff are so kind and attentive. The activity staff work tirelessly, providing so many different activities and taking the residents out to many places frequently. Mum has been suffering with back pain over
the last couple of weeks and they have been really good, getting the doctor and nurse involved. Food is excellent and the hospitality, housekeeping and cleaning staff are all excellent.

What an amazing place. My mum was one of the first residents here, and we are so pleased that we found it.
All the carers, maintenance, housekeepers, receptionists, admin and lifestyle are absolutely amazing, all extremely helpful and caring.
Highly recommend this wonderful care home.

Met my friend in her room initially and had a chat while passing her some bits of shopping (shower gel, etc). We then went to the coffee lounge and had a lovely cup of coffee made for us by a very pleasant carer. Cake and biscuits were on offer too!
We then went for a walk in the grounds and sat outside
on a bench chatting. Everyone is very friendly and pleasant. The setting and rooms are lovely. It has been like this on all my visits.

I never worry that Nanna will go without the care and attention that she needs, the service that the staff provide is second to none. The facility is always clean and everyone is always kind.

Birchwood Heights is the most wonderful place for my mum to live.
All the staff from managers, carers, activity workers, hospitality staff and all the support team are great. Very professional, caring, friendly and it is clear that the whole team are knowledgable of all the residents, and treats everyone
with dignity.
The rooms/facilities are homely and always clean. Daily menus always go down well with Mum.
I couldn't recommend enough.

I couldn't have wished for a better care home for my dad. My dad really didn't want to go into a care home and I can honestly say my dad was happy at Birchwood Heights. The carers are all amazing. I can't thank everyone at the home enough for taking care of my dad. It really is a very happy home. with

I visited Birchwood Heights today and my oh my what a lovely and welcoming home. It is clean, bright and warm. The reception staff were lovely, however, my praise goes to the general manager at Birchwood Heights. He has been so caring and took the time to chat with me, he has everyone’s best interest
at heart and actually shows an interest in the conversation. He was so warm and kind and that’s what you look for in a care home.

I can't rate this wonderful care home enough; the staff are absolutely incredible, so attentive and kind and put on daily brilliant events for the residents.
The home itself is spacious and beautifully decorated. The restaurant is exquisite.
If I could move in here, I would!

This is our third visit to Birchwood Heights to see a very dear friend of many years. We have been very pleased and impressed with all aspects of the home, especially the very caring staff and also the spotless cleanliness everywhere inside and out. We have indicated "good" for facilities and activities
as we have not actually seen these but have no hesitation in rating "excellent" for everything else. It was vital to us that our friend was well looked after and are very satisfied.

Since dad joined Birchwood Heights we cannot be more grateful for the help and support of the staff in making the whole experience as easy as possible. He has been welcomed and is really thriving under their care and we really can see a positive change in his overall well-being and his own outlook.
It
is a big weight off our minds knowing dad is well cared for and the team are brilliant at keeping us informed about everything that is going on.

Mum and Dad moved into Birchwood Heights around 3 weeks ago, and so far the experience has been great. It is the biggest peace of mind knowing they are in a safe environment and treated with care, respect and kindness.

The service was excellent, staff were accommodating and lovely. It was a difficult time as we knew Grandad was dying, but it was made a lot easier having such wonderful people around us and him. My grandad was a resident at Birchwood Heights earlier this year. It is where he spent the last few months of his life and we couldn't have asked for a better environment for him. The carers and staff were incredible throughout and the whole family were able to constantly visit and be with him at the
end. The staff and carers treated us like family, it's such a caring environment, so much so that you just know that your beloved family member is in the best possible hands.

I started my career in care in 2008 as a Carer and worked my way up to become a Deputy Manager and now General Manager. I joined the Oakland Care team in 2022 when Birchwood Heights opened. I am passionate about ensuring every resident is happy and enjoying a stimulating, fulfilling life. I love building a good rapport with all the residents and being someone they trust and can talk to. I am very lucky to be part of an incredible team that is dedicated to going above and beyond for our residents. Every day is different at Birchwood, but each day we make great memories with our residents. Outside of work, I love the outdoors, sitting in the sunshine, hiking, and recently discovered a new passion for bike riding.

My experience in the role goes back 11 years now, including the commissioning of a new care home. I love putting together a varied, weekly activity programme for our residents to enjoy. This is by far the most rewarding job I have ever had; I love encouraging our residents to try new things and to socialise with each other. Ensuring the residents have a smile on their faces makes my day. When I joined Oakland Care, I was instantly welcomed to the family, and I love coming to work every day.
