Overall Experience
We have been so delighted with all aspects of Boclair Care Home. Our 94-year-old mum was recently widowed and made the decision that she would prefer to try living in a care home. She has settled really very quickly and feels sure she has made the right choice. The home itself is beautiful, very comfortable rooms with en suite and a very lovely lounge and dining area, all decorated to a very high standard with contemporary styling.
The staff, without exception, seem kind, gentle and caring and all treat the residents with the respect they deserve. My mum has especially enjoyed movie nights with popcorn and a glass of wine! A sense of humour seems to work well in Boclair both with staff and with residents.

I cannot thank the manager and her staff enough for making what could have been the most difficult time of my mum's long life into a comfortable and safe transition into care.

Overall Experience

The home is beautifully decorated and looks like a good-quality hotel. The staff are attentive, caring and friendly. As well as being friendly, the staff are careful and competent in attending to medical needs. Another plus point is that it is easy for friends and relatives to pop in for visits whenever they want.

Mum's six-week review was thorough and discussed in a sensitive manner. My opinions were sought. I felt heard and our discussions generated new ideas and understandings of how to take things forward. Mum's needs were the focus. We, as a family, are made to feel welcome on every visit. Facilities for families that visit are very good. Reception staff are very helpful, so are all the staff.
