The care home is clean and safe and the staff and carers take care of the residents in a kind, caring and professional manner. I know that my wife is getting the best care possible at this present time
Thank you for leaving such a positive review of Brook Meadows House. We are so pleased you feel that your wife is receiving the best possible care. I will pass on your review to the staff as they will be very happy to receive your feedback.
Brook Meadows was ideally convenient for my family to visit my mother fortunately.
I was pleasantly surprised at the home. Staff at reception were very friendly and welcoming. Samantha welcomed me, gave me a tour of the home and answered all my questions perfectly.
The home is practically new, rooms are lovely, cosy, warm and nicely furnished. Facilities are excellent, the nursing and auxiliary care is very good.
My mother was not naturally keen to go but she told me she enjoyed her stay, the food and nice people to chat to. And the games. I would recommend and book again if needed.
It was my pleasure to show you round and answer the questions you had.
Great to know you would book again too.
Thank you
Kind regards
Samantha
I've been here since October 23, the staff have been brilliant the are so caring and really do help you more than some staff but it very rare, The food is lovely and the carers , cleaning staff , team leaders , kitchen staff and maintenance men, The manger all lovely. Really helpful even when it can be really busy. Nothing is ever too much trouble even when it's Busy. They all need medals
Thank you for your positive review of Brook Meadows House. We are so pleased you are being so well cared for. We shall pass on your 5 star review of the team, they will be so happy to read your uplifting comments.
I arrived here from hospital after an amputation. My overall experience to a very difficult & traumatic situation has been very good. The staff, building & food is all very good. I will be leaving soon & will always remember & be grateful for my treatment at Brok Meadows.
Thank you for leaving such a positive review. We are pleased to hear the staff have been good to you and you have been able to recover well at Brook Meadows House. We wish you all the best when you return home and good luck with your recovery.
I am a family friend of a resident that is staying in this care home. I went to visit him over the weekend and was amazed how professional all the staff were. He has advanced dementia so he can be a challenge as well as being none verbal which makes it harder. All staff and management treat him with dignity and respect and have so much patience to make sure he gets the best care at all times. Staff are very approachable and answered all my questions. Would highly recommend.
Thank you for leaving your review. We are pleased you had a positive visit with your friend at Brook Meadows House. Your 5 start rating shows how dedicated our staff are at Brook Meadows House and I will passing your review to them. Thank you for the recommendation too as this will help with families when looking for care of a loved one.
She has had a couple of falls, but she had them at home anyway and as a family we understand that as they age and their mobility declines, it is expected, but we have appreciated the regular communication we recieve from Debra and the first floor team leaders, in particular Janine and Teresa, it's refreshing.
The home itself is clean and tidy and Nan loves her room, which she has made her own, and as someone who doesn't eat large meals she loves the food they serve.
We can't fault the care staff, they all do amazing work. Their work is fast paced and they have a lot to deal with from monitoring wandering clients who are free to walk around the unit, to overbearing family members who scare other clients by shouting loudly at staff. Norma and Sue are brilliant taking them on regular day trips to Priory Park, the pier etc and doing activities.
The whole team work together to keep all aspects of the home to a high standard. I will be passing on your review to the team and the staff you have mentioned.
Such a lovely home in a wonderful environment. Clean, and lots of activities going on every week. Food offerings include different weekly menus and great choice. Staffing team are attentive and caring. Could not recommend enough!

My Mum stayed at Brook Meadows for one week respite. The period before, during and after this was very impressive; caring, professional and friendly. My Mum was very complimentary of all staff; the carers and support workers. My Mum would like to return!

Our Dad has been in Brook Meadows since August 2024. He has been very well looked after by all the staff. When we visit , we get updates as to how he is doing. The staff are friendly and approachable and see to his needs in a professional way. The team leaders are very helpful as is the manager and answer any queries that may arise. It's a very clean facility and dad is happy to be there.

Not really getting the point of the meetings, no relevance to families of residents about decor or gardening. Would like to be more detailed about care and behaviour of our resident. Hardly anyone attending so current format not really working.

Our mum has been a resident at Brook Meadows House since February 2025. During this time, we have visited regularly (2-4 times per week). On each occasion, we are met with friendly, professional staff who update us as to how mum has been. There is always a member of staff if we have any queries.

I can't find any fault in the home at all. When my sister came from the hospital to the assessment unit she was so nervous and lacked in confidence. I started to notice a change in her after about a week. Her confidence started to get better as she was going into the lounge and interacting with other residents which she has not done in ages. She started to put weight on. She has never been a big eater but she loved the food. The staff where amazing even though they were always busy they always made sure she was ok and comfortable. Team leaders were always there to answer any questions especially the lady with short dark hair, nothing was ever to much trouble and she always kept me updated with any changes with my sister.
Thank you for taking the time to review Brook Meadows House. We are pleased to hear your sister has had such a positive experience at Brook Meadows and you have not been able to find fault with the home. Our staff work very hard to ensure all of residents are kept relaxed and comfortable, our on...
My dad stayed with Brock Meadows and he really enjoyed his stay. The staff were very friendly and kind and help him with all his needs. He would highly recommend his stay and the staff they went the extra mile to make sure he was settled.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Brook Meadows House and for such a positive review. Brook Meadows House is so pleased your Dad enjoyed his stay with us. Our staff do go above and beyond to ensure our residents are happy and settled. This is great to receive this feedback from you and thank you for the recommendation too. Kind regards,SM
There are a lot of organised activities that residents can join in with. Also one to one time with the activity coordinators for those residents less inclined to join in. Residents choices seem to be respected. Overall my observation and experience of the home and the staff since my mother has been resident is a positive. Any concerns are addressed promptly.
Thank you for your kind and positive review. I will speak with our chef to further expand the meal choices available for your mother. In regard to our staffing, you will see a fluctuation of staffing levels on our assessment unit depending on the number of residents that we have at the time....
My dad has been looked after well here at Brook Meadows House Care Home. The rooms are new and smart and cosy. The staff are caring and attentive. The activities are great and well led with outings, singing, seasonal activities and themed meal lunches. The housekeeping keeps the rooms clean and beds made frequently. There is a lovely garden area residents can sit out in. A doctor comes in weekly for any medical problems. Dad perked up after being ill and coming to the home and being cared for here. There is a good team of people who also work with the family in drawing up care plans and regular family meetings. I would recommend this home to take care of loved ones.
