We operate with an open-door policy and always aim to be approachable, working closely alongside our team to build a supportive, collaborative environment.
What we love most about our role as joint Registered Care Managers is the opportunity to shape a vision for Burscough Manor that focuses on continuous improvement and achieving the best possible outcomes for each individual resident. A huge part of our role is working with multi-disciplinary teams and building strong professional relationships. But for us, it’s also about the personal connections—fostering genuine relationships with residents and their families and knowing that we are truly making a difference in their lives.
I have worked in the care sector since I was 18, and I have worked my way up from a care assistant to a senior care assistant. While working in care, I completed my level 2/3 NVQ in health and social care and even progressed to complete my CHAPS degree within the company I worked for, which also led me to further my career and become a unit manager.
I joined Ribble Court in 2022 as a senior care assistant, then moved to Burscough Manor in March 2023 and got promoted to unit lead on the two dementia units and then was promoted to deputy manager in November within a short space of time.
Sandstone Care is an amazing company to work for. The whole team are very involved in the standards of care that all residents receive. Building a world that makes a positive difference to those in later life is a passion of the team.
At Burscough Manor, we all work as a team and work to a high standard to deliver person-centred care to all residents in our home. Knowing that we truly make a difference in a person's life is the most rewarding. I love my job and the team. I am currently completing my level 5 leadership and management course at the unit to progress my career further in the years to come.
