Offering residential, nursing and dementia care we welcome enquiries to our beautiful, purpose built luxury care home.
Carinna, joins Darcy House as the Home Manager and brings with her 10 years experience of working in elderly care in Derbyshire and with a particular passion for dementia care.
The resident’s happiness is at the heart of everything Carinna and her team will be offering, and she likes nothing more than to watch residents flourish and to be able to live happy meaningful lives within a warm and inviting homely environment.
Carinna is looking forward to building links with the local community and cannot wait to set up partnerships with intergenerational projects and community support networks.
Amelia joins the team at Darcy House as the Administration Manager and will often be the first person you come into contact with. Amelia brings a wealth of experience to her role, including from the legal sector. Being a local, she has watched the home being built and cannot wait to start to welcome residents and their loved ones to their new home.
As a nurse, the most important aspect of the role for me is to ensure our residents at Darcy House receive safe, person-centred care. It is a privilege to be part of the team and to lead our experienced nursing staff at this beautiful home. I have 32 years of experience in healthcare in various roles within the NHS sector. Throughout the years of my nursing career, I have delivered care to people with long-term health conditions, such as people who have had a stroke, Parkinson’s care delivery, people who have new-onset dementia and those who have more advanced complex dementia needs.
I have also worked closely with community palliative care teams and have the fundamental knowledge needed to ensure families and carers are involved fully throughout the care journey with their loved ones. I have 10 years of experience, more recently as a Matron for older adults, and I take pride in paying attention to the details in the care we deliver to our older adult residents. Being open, honest, kind and showing compassion for the well-being of others are all really the core of being a nurse.
