My dad has been a resident for just under a year. Today we came along for an organised BBQ for father's Day. Lots of food was put on for residents and families and the staff were as attentive to my dad as always. It was lovely to see so many family members visiting their loved ones.
Thank you so much for the response and feedback its much appreciated and we will pass on the feedback to the staff teams
My father is very happy in this home. He is very well looked after and the staff are lovely. The home is very comfortable and provides a number of different lounges where residents can sit and relax. A number of different activities are organised for the residents and the bar-b-ques are excellent, all in all a 5* rating and excellent in all areas.
Thank you so much for the response and feedback its much appreciated and we will pass on the feedback to the staff teams
The environment is clean and warm.
My mother receives good personal care.
Communication is excellent. My concerns are dealt with promptly and I am kept well informed of my mother's care.
Meals are freshly cooked on site by an excellent cook.
Friends and family are welcomed anytime and many events such as BBQ's are organised throughout the year.
Introduction of some chair based physical activities such as chair yoga , music and movement or parachute and ball game would be beneficial to some residents.
All in all an excellent care home.
Thank you so much for the kind words - we will ensure this is passed back to our teams
They take into account her special needs and welfare.
Recently loosing dad every one at Edendale have gone over and beyond with mums care and needs.

Thank you Edendale Lodge for your kindness, caring attitude to all the residents and you as a staff towards each other.
I can't thank you all enough.
Edendale Care Home has been the right place for my 90 year old Mother-in-Law. Staff have always been seen to be caring and very friendly. It stands head and shoulders above the other care homes that we have seen and dismissed. We feel reassured that my wife's mother is being well looked after. Well done to all the staff there.
Many thanks for your feedback its really appreciated and thank you for your continued support
The staff at Edendale Lodge could not be any nicer, always cheery, extremely helpful, kind and caring to residents at the home. Edendale Lodge staff are a real credit to the care system. I feel that my mum gets an extremely high service of care.
Edendale Lodge is a kind, caring and family friendly care home. My father resides at Edendale Lodge and has been there for approx 18 months. We as a family feel he is safe, loved and cared for. We feel that they are a part of our family. I'm eternally grateful for their support. Thank you to all the staff.
Mum came here in 2023. She has been very settled; she has her favourites when it comes to staff. Mum is very well cared for, and I am kept informed of any changes to mums health. I am kept up to date on activities going on. Very happy family.

Whenever I talk via the phone, email or visit, the service is always the same. Excellent! They're all very caring, respectful and friendly, and sometimes under some difficult circumstances. They are always accommodating, and helpful, especially as I don't live close.

We're all so pleased to hear the service is always Excellent, we're very proud of Team Edendale and we can't wait to share this with the team! Kind Regards, Belmont Healthcare.
My father has just spent two weeks in respite at Edendale Lodge after a friend highly recommended the home having both her parents as residents. It was his first time in respite and I was feeling very worried about how it would affect his dementia but we were welcomed by very friendly and efficient staff and his stay couldn't have gone better. His room was lovely with a view over the garden and he had a choice of rooms to sit in during the day. He was even included in their day trip out to a garden centre. It has helped me to decide when the time comes for a permanent stay Edendale will be my choice.
Thank you so very much for your review and for sharing such kind words, we will pass these on to our care team who we're sure will be delighted to read them. We are so happy that you and your father experienced how accommodating and inclusive we are for all residents whether respite or permanent...
They are also very good at spending one-on-one time with her, for example, painting her fingernails. Also, which is equally as important, is that they make my father and myself feel very welcome when we visit her. There is always a cup of tea and a biscuit on hand.
Cannot thank all of the staff enough for the care they give. My father and I will always be grateful for what they do.
Wow! Thank you so much for awarding us a five-star rating! Your kind words serve as a great testament to the hard work and dedication we invest in our care home. Your recommendation means the world to us and we feel so rewarded by your incredibly kind words. We're truly honoured. Best Wishes from all at Belmont Healthcare.
My mother-in-law's 100th birthday, the staff as always could not have been any kinder. They did an amazing party and birthday cake for her and a lovely 100 blanket. Nothing was too much, it is so comforting knowing she is safe and well-loved and cared for. I would highly recommend them.

My mum had a week of respite at Edenvale Lodge Care Home in early September 2023. Staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived at 3 p.m. Mum was shown into the lounge area by the manager to meet the other residents, I saw this as a sensible and thoughtful move. I stayed until 7 pm. Tea was served at 4:45 pm (sandwiches, cake, tea and fruit juice). I went with Mum into her bedroom at 6 p.m. and assisted with personal care. Mum changed into pyjamas/dressing gown and went into the TV area of the lounge at 6.45 pm. All staff were helpful, kind and chatty. Mum has dementia and can be difficult. A photo was sent to me when Mum had a hair-do. Mum had a nice holiday and I would be happy for her to go again in the near future.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a wonderful review. We pride ourselves on providing our residents with the best possible standard of care, we're pleased we exceeded your expectations and overjoyed to hear that your dear Mum had a nice holiday and would happily return in the near future. You're welcome back anytime. Best Wishes from all at Belmont Healthcare.
I arrived at Edendale Lodge following a small stroke and no longer wanting to live alone. I have found kindness, helpfulness and total acceptance. I am encouraged to be independent and yet to know there is always someone there to help in a kind, cheerful and encouraging manner. I can honestly say I am happy and relaxed and loving life here and bless the day I telephoned to come and see this beautiful place. It has, indeed, become my home.
Hearing how happy you are has brightened up our day at Belmont Healthcare! Thank you so much for the great review and for choosing Edendale to be your happy home. We're so pleased that the staff are kind, helpful, cheerful and encouraging. May that continue, best wishes from all at Belmont Healthcare.
My mother has been a resident at Edendale Lodge for over six years now and has been cared for fabulously for all that time. All the staff are excellent and I feel very certain that my mother is safe and well in their hands.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback! You've left a smile on the faces of our whole team with your kind words. We're thrilled to hear we've cared for your dear Mother fabulously for over six years and it's our absolute pleasure to do so. I'll make sure I share your valuable feedback with Team Edendale. Best Wishes from all at Belmont Healthcare.
Very well look after with great understanding of their need . I have always been welcome. I feel one is looker after better then one could at home. all are kept clean and tidy and the place is kept clean.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your feedback with us and the community. We're so pleased that you're happy with our Care Home services and will ensure to pass this fantastic review on to our Team. Best Wishes, from all at Belmont Healthcare.
My father went to Edendale on very short notice. The manager took the time to talk to me about his care, likes and dislikes and preferences such as meals, bedtimes etc. She also took the time to reassure me and answer all the many questions I had. It was an anxious time for me, but Dad settled in straight away, and the staff quickly got used to his sense of humour and his little quirks. As his health has gradually needed more care, they have adapted his care plan and kept me fully up to date. One member of staff supported my dad and I with a hospital appointment. I couldn't have managed without him. I'm so grateful to the whole team.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review - we are delighted that your dad has settled and is happy, and you also that you found our care home manager so helpful and supportive - we'll ensure your feedback is passed on to her, and she will appreciate your kind words very much... best wishes.
Clean place.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you find the team at Edendale Lodge happy and courteous and shall pass this on to them.
