Goldwell Manor offers quality residential, respite and dementia in a home from home style atmosphere.

The home is comfortably decorated and you are surrounded by welcoming colour palettes for walls and soft furnishings, along with comfortable and supportive furniture to maintain that homely and personal feel.

There are 72 state-of-the-art bedrooms for residents to reside in, all of which are tastefully decorated and feature en-suite bathrooms, TVs with Freeview, Wi-Fi and much more. All of the rooms in Goldwell Manor also feature a call bell system, so someone is always on hand to help if it’s needed.

There are plenty of places to socialise throughout the home, from the spacious dining areas and lounges where residents can socialise with new friends, to the on-site cafe which is the perfect place to relax when friends and family visit. They've also got hairdressing facilities so residents can look and feel their best, and there’s lots of quiet spots around the home for relaxing, including areas with floor-to-ceiling windows, giving beautiful views of the outside areas.

Goldwell Manor is not only aesthetically beautiful, welcoming and clean but every member of the team have been absolutely fantastic in caring for my parents. From the front of house, catering, lifestyle, maintenance, cleaning and the wonderful care team.The fact that everyone knows us as a family and
as individuals and truly cares makes a huge difference. I could name everyone individually and thank them for how they go over and above not only for my family but for us visiting (even giving biscuits to my parent's visiting dog and so many little touches) and being in and around Goldwell regularly, it’s not a one-off, it’s how it always is. I cannot recommend and thank everyone enough for what they do on a daily basis-Goldwell really is the best!

The home is like a 5* hotel - very large room and very clean. The communal areas are particularly good.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and, most importantly, very gentle and caring with my father.
In my previous job as a fire inspector, I visited many care homes - Goldwell Manor is the
best by far!

Having transferred my mum from a rehabilitation hospital last week my mum has been warmly welcomed at Goldwell Manor. As my mum is a new resident she is still settling in. All the staff have been very kind and understanding at what has been a difficult time for my mum and family. It's a lovely place
to visit, welcomed with a warm smile.

Goldwell Manor is the only care home we are happy for my Mum to stay in. Always welcomed with a warm and friendly team of staff. Beautiful home, fantastic decor. The rooms are amazing and the ensuite shower room is very good. Good food and plenty of activities. Mum loves it in here. Thank you to the
manager and her staff for taking Mum again for respite care at such short notice. Would definitely recommend.

After visiting several care homes Goldwell Manor was the only one I was happy for my husband to stay in. He was very warmly welcomed on arrival by management and staff. It's early days yet for him, but hopefully he will settle and be happy. I feel he is being very well looked after.

After working forty years in adult social care and being very despondent about the standards in residential care, we have hit the jackpot with Goldwell Manor. There is nothing I can fault. There are always staff in the communal areas tending to residents and anticipating needs. The choice of food is
amazing. My mother has always deserved the best care and Goldwell provides it. The general manager is an excellent leader who leads by example and knows all her residents. Keep it up Goldwell, you are simply the best!

Absolutely amazing home. My grandad came here after finding it difficult to cope at home. When he arrived, he thought he was in a five-star hotel because of the beautiful decor. The staff immediately made my grandad feel at home and welcome, we knew he was in safe hands!
Unfortunately, my grandad took
a turn for the worse and was put on end-of-life while at the hospital. The home where amazing in rehabilitating my grandad back to the home and catered to his more advanced needs. During the last two weeks of his life, all the family were allowed to be at the home constantly and we were extremely well looked after from food to drinks and constant check-in from all the staff. The dignity and respect my grandad received even in his final few hours was outstanding. We cannot thank the staff enough for making my grandad's final weeks as special as they were. Goldwell Manor will always have a special place in our hearts.

Looking around and choosing a care home for my mum highlighted huge differences between each one. I wanted her to live somewhere I could live myself. Goldwell Manor really stood out. Firstly the decor is impressive as you walk in and everywhere feels really clean and new. The room is lovely with a good
ensuite shower room. The staff are amazing and I feel confident she is being well looked after. We are kept up to date with any health issues. The entertainment manager works hard to provide varied activities which my mum has participated in and enjoyed such as quizzes and games, gardening, book club, singers etc. I particularly like the fact that residents are regularly asked for their opinions on the activities and also the food choices and they are encouraged to offer new suggestions to tailor their stay to their interests. The manager knows everyone personally and provides that personal touch, so I feel my mum is in safe hands. I would not hesitate to recommend Goldwell Manor.

My Mum and Dad stayed in Goldwell Manor for respite for almost 3 weeks. They both felt that it was like a 5 star hotel. The decor, cleanliness and new facilities were excellent. The food and dining areas were excellent. My Dad liked to have a beer some afternoons which they got him from the beautiful
bar area downstairs. They felt that there could have been a few more activities, it was very quiet on some afternoons. However, Mum went to the gardening club one afternoon and both of them played bingo.
My parents felt that all the staff were very kind, caring and professional from the front of house staff, the maintenance man, the housekeepers and the carers. We also felt that all the staff were lovely. The manager runs an excellent home and should be very proud. There were only a couple of issues that were dealt with promptly and communicated to the family. We would not hesitate to place them in Goldwell Manor again in the future and would highly recommend this beautiful home.

My husband had respite care for a week. Unfortunately, after four days my husband had a nasty fall and was admitted to the hospital. I had previously been to look at Goldwell Manor and felt comfortable that it was right for my husband, the staff on arrival were welcoming and my husband's room looked
great. However, my opinion has changed a little since my husband's fall as no one from Goldwell Manor has had the decency or compassion to contact me to see how my husband is. You have a fabulous dementia home but communication skills are lacking. I have been a nurse for over 40 years and I would not dream of not following up after an incident to ensure all was well or at least to show I cared.

Mum moved into the home three days ago and was welcomed with open arms. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. All of them have been great, helping Mum to settle in and understand what a big upheaval it is for her.

Since my very first visit to Goldwell Manor Care Home I have been impressed by the professionalism of the staff and high level of cleanliness. The building is spacious, well appointed and decorated, obviously a lot of thought has been put into creating a homely, interesting and well appointed environment.
The staff are always friendly and helpful and nothing seems too much trouble. My friend seems very happy here and the ninetieth birthday celebrations the staff created for her were delightful with delicious party food!

I cannot thank the care staff and management enough for their care of my mum since she moved there in August 2022. The home is beautifully and tastefully decorated. It is designed to be spacious with the needs of wheelchair/frame users in mind. Carers are well-trained, courteous and professional. They
pick up on small things which really matter to my mum in addition to the general care needs being met. My mum has been through a difficult time with her health and I feel the staff and management have been alongside me in addressing and raising her health needs with professionals. They have phoned me to let me know when there has been an improvement in her health - e.g. she was discharged from the hospital as a hoist user only. When she managed to walk with a frame across the room they phoned to let me know, that meant a lot. The home is clean and activities are organised daily for residents with their abilities/needs in mind. The food is excellent. Thank you, Goldwell.

I count myself very lucky that I managed to secure a place for my father at Goldwell Manor. It really is such a relief to know he is happy and settled and being looked after properly. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They are all so friendly and professional; I knew straight away that my father
was in the best hands. The accommodation is pristine. The food, care and support are first-class. It's a pleasure to visit. A massive thank you to everyone concerned.

Welcome to Goldwell Manor!


I started my career working in the hotel industry at every level, however, for the past 25 years I have worked within the care industry. I worked in various roles starting as a Care Assistant, Kitchen Manager to eventually a Registered Manager. In doing these roles, my passion grew for all areas within the care industry as each is equally crucial to the everyday lives of our residents. Through my time working in the care industry I also went on the journey of caring for my mother when she was diagnosed with dementia, until her end of life. This has enabled me to share my knowledge and support a team in providing quality well-being for every individual.
