Mum moved into the home three days ago and was welcomed with open arms. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. All of them have been great, helping Mum to settle in and understand what a big upheaval it is for her.

The residents are kept busy with lots of activities.

My wife has settled well into the home and is well looked after by the excellent staff. Attention to her individual requirements and health is impressive.

Since my very first visit to Goldwell Manor Care Home I have been impressed by the professionalism of the staff and high level of cleanliness. The building is spacious, well appointed and decorated, obviously a lot of thought has been put into creating a homely, interesting and well appointed environment. The staff are always friendly and helpful and nothing seems too much trouble. My friend seems very happy here and the ninetieth birthday celebrations the staff created for her were delightful with delicious party food!

I cannot thank the care staff and management enough for their care of my mum since she moved there in August 2022. The home is beautifully and tastefully decorated. It is designed to be spacious with the needs of wheelchair/frame users in mind. Carers are well-trained, courteous and professional. They pick up on small things which really matter to my mum in addition to the general care needs being met. My mum has been through a difficult time with her health and I feel the staff and management have been alongside me in addressing and raising her health needs with professionals. They have phoned me to let me know when there has been an improvement in her health - e.g. she was discharged from the hospital as a hoist user only. When she managed to walk with a frame across the room they phoned to let me know, that meant a lot. The home is clean and activities are organised daily for residents with their abilities/needs in mind. The food is excellent. Thank you, Goldwell.

Arrive at the care home to see my mother and go home knowing she is safe and well looked after.

My wife moved into her current care home when it opened in June 2022. She is very happy there and is well looked after by the staff. They keep me fully informed on her condition and contact me if she has a problem, and they deal very well with any emergency.

I count myself very lucky that I managed to secure a place for my father at Goldwell Manor. It really is such a relief to know he is happy and settled and being looked after properly. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They are all so friendly and professional; I knew straight away that my father was in the best hands. The accommodation is pristine. The food, care and support are first-class. It's a pleasure to visit. A massive thank you to everyone concerned.

I have never known my mum so happy. She settled in straight away and the staff are all lovely, they all go above and beyond for my mum. The manager at this home is so professional and friendly. The home is very special. The food is amazing and so is the care. They all treat my mum with dignity and treat her as if it is her home.

My mum stayed here for about 3 weeks in respite care. She was very apprehensive in going into a home even for just this short amount of time as lived with me for many years. But her fears were soon eased and she loved it. The staff were brilliant friendly and helpful. The rooms were excellent she loved the food and surroundings she only ever had lovely things to say about everyone and everything. Her views changed so much so she stated if she was to go into a home permanently then she wanted to go in here. Which for my mum was a really big breakthrough. However, it was never meant to be she has moved away to be with my brother. There was only ever one issue but this was dealt with promptly.

Wonderful staff decoration and ambience.

The home is of a five-star standard. The manager made my friend's transfer from the hospital so smooth, it took away all the stress of the move for my friend and ourselves. He loves everything and everyone at the home. Again, a big thank you to the manager and all the staff.

It is like a five-star hotel. Wonderful care and excellent staff. Beautiful rooms - the lounges are perfect. To have hairdressing facilities, a cinema and a bar area - perfect!

My brother has been in Goldwell Manor for 3 weeks and 5 days. So far the staff have been wonderful and the food much better than his previous care home. At present, my brother is in a temporary room until his room downstairs is completed, which should be ready in the next week or so. The care home is like a 5* hotel we are so pleased with everything so far.

Overall, we are really happy with the service at Goldwell for our mum and dad. There have been some serious issues, however, they have been dealt with in a timely manner and always with the best intentions. The communication with the family throughout any issues has been outstanding.
