Goldwell Manor offers quality residential, respite and dementia in a home from home style atmosphere.

The home is comfortably decorated and you are surrounded by welcoming colour palettes for walls and soft furnishings, along with comfortable and supportive furniture to maintain that homely and personal feel.

There are 72 state-of-the-art bedrooms for residents to reside in, all of which are tastefully decorated and feature en-suite bathrooms, TVs with Freeview, Wi-Fi and much more. All of the rooms in Goldwell Manor also feature a call bell system, so someone is always on hand to help if it’s needed.

There are plenty of places to socialise throughout the home, from the spacious dining areas and lounges where residents can socialise with new friends, to the on-site cafe which is the perfect place to relax when friends and family visit. They've also got hairdressing facilities so residents can look and feel their best, and there’s lots of quiet spots around the home for relaxing, including areas with floor-to-ceiling windows, giving beautiful views of the outside areas.

Secure landscaped gardens surround the home, along with a sensory garden so residents and their visitors can sit and enjoy the surroundings.

I have never known my mum so happy. She settled in straight away and the staff are all lovely, they all go above and beyond for my mum. The manager at this home is so professional and friendly. The home is very special. The food is amazing and so is the care. They all treat my mum with dignity and treat
her as if it is her home.

My mum stayed here for about 3 weeks in respite care. She was very apprehensive in going into a home even for just this short amount of time as lived with me for many years. But her fears were soon eased and she loved it. The staff were brilliant friendly and helpful. The rooms were excellent she loved
the food and surroundings she only ever had lovely things to say about everyone and everything. Her views changed so much so she stated if she was to go into a home permanently then she wanted to go in here. Which for my mum was a really big breakthrough. However, it was never meant to be she has moved away to be with my brother. There was only ever one issue but this was dealt with promptly.

The home is of a five-star standard. The manager made my friend's transfer from the hospital so smooth, it took away all the stress of the move for my friend and ourselves. He loves everything and everyone at the home. Again, a big thank you to the manager and all the staff.

It is like a five-star hotel. Wonderful care and excellent staff. Beautiful rooms - the lounges are perfect. To have hairdressing facilities, a cinema and a bar area - perfect!

Overall, we are really happy with the service at Goldwell for our mum and dad. There have been some serious issues, however, they have been dealt with in a timely manner and always with the best intentions. The communication with the family throughout any issues has been outstanding.

My brother has been in Goldwell Manor for 3 weeks and 5 days. So far the staff have been wonderful and the food much better than his previous care home. At present, my brother is in a temporary room until his room downstairs is completed, which should be ready in the next week or so. The care home is
like a 5* hotel we are so pleased with everything so far.

Welcome to Goldwell Manor!


I started my career working in the hotel industry at every level, however, for the past 25 years I have worked within the care industry. I worked in various roles starting as a Care Assistant, Kitchen Manager to eventually a Registered Manager. In doing these roles, my passion grew for all areas within the care industry as each is equally crucial to the everyday lives of our residents. Through my time working in the care industry I also went on the journey of caring for my mother when she was diagnosed with dementia, until her end of life. This has enabled me to share my knowledge and support a team in providing quality well-being for every individual.
