Hen Cloud House has a total of 66 rooms available with nine bed wings on the ground floor and three on the first floor. They also have five larger studio-sized rooms available, with two on the ground floor and three on the first floor.

Each wing contains a dining room, living rooms and other smaller communal areas for residents and their families to use. The ground floor provides an open plan reception café that is ideal for meeting and relaxing with visitors.

The familiarity and scale of this layout is particularly helpful for people living with dementia and an array of other needs, whilst maintaining easy access to all the extended facilities in the home.

All of the rooms at Hen Cloud are spacious and comfortable, feature high-quality furnishings and décor, and include full wet room facilities for every resident. There are also separate WCs, assisted bathrooms and other ancillary facilities available throughout the home.

Hen Cloud also offers stunning outside areas, with two separate courtyard gardens available to residents and beautiful landscaped gardens surrounding the home.

Mum only went in for respite care but she enjoyed it so much she asked to stay. She has a lovely room with en-suite wet room ,which is kept clean and tidy. Mum really enjoys the food which I know myself is lovely and tasty as myself and my sister have had lunch with mum .
This staff are always helpful
,happy and take care of mum in a really polite and respectful way.
We feel mum is in a safe and secure environment.
Her great granddaughter commented it was lovely like a hotel when she visited.

Overall we are very happy with the care and support Dad is given in the home.
The staff are all very lovely.
There's been a couple of occasions where he has been damp when one of us have arrived at the home I feel like more regular checks asking if he needs a wee would prevent this as sometimes he
doesn't remember to ask.
Also we appreciate due to staffing and risk assessments that time to do physio with users is restricted, but more one on one time getting up from the chair by himself and some walking would benefit and keep him moving, but fully understand Health and Safety regulations and convenience and quickness of using a hoist.
Also i understand this is due to staffing but making sure he is got out of bed every morning and not left in there to have his breakfast when people have visited who have had to see him Still in bed rather than him sitting out and dressed.
These aren't criticisms but things we've noticed and suggestions for improvements.
Aware of staffing issues.

All comments are truly appreciated by the entire team.We apologise for the occasions where your father has been found damp. This is not the standard of care we aim to provide. We're committed to ensuring the comfort and dignity of all residents and will review and reinforce our continence care protocols with all staff.Regarding your mobility observations, we offer at least 2 exercise classes each week, to encourage movement and improve physical capabilities. We've just secured the services of a qualified physiologist who will visit weekly, to run group and individual sessions, allowing more personal attention to mobility needs, where appropriate and safe. Should your father return for additional respite (he would be most welcome) we'd be sure to include him in the sessions.Please feel free to contact me directly should you wish to arrange a meeting to discuss these points further.

A lovely care home with up to date decor. It is kept very clean and there is plenty of food provided to the residents. A team of senior and junior carers works well, with any medical issues supported by regular visits of a GP.

I have been searching for a long time all over Staffordshire Moorlands and I felt very pleased to find Hen Cloud House in Leek. Entering the house I was very impressed by the nice reception offering tea/coffee and to show me around the house.
The cleanness is impressive, the colours of carpets and
furniture, the layout of the bathroom, it was the first time that I have seen tablecloths, chairs and decoration so well matched. Congratulations to the staff.

My sister moved into Hen Cloud two and half years ago and she was made welcome and comfortable straight away. All the staff are very friendly and caring and she soon became part of the Hen Cloud family.
She enjoys the lovely food served to her in lovely surroundings and takes part in all the activities
and entertainment offered to residents.
She is enjoying life to the full - Thank you to all the staff at Hen Cloud.

I have been very pleased with the care and support my Mum has received, she has settled in well and enjoys the many activities in which she is encouraged to take part in. The staff are very nice and really seem to care about residents. My Mum's clothes and things always find their way back to her and
her room is kept tidy and clean. She seems to enjoy the food, especially cake and fruit in the afternoons. Her care needs are reviewed and adapted when needed, it was a difficult decision to put my Mum in a care home but it was the right choice and I'm glad I chose Hen Cloud.

I still echo what a fantastic place that always ensures my mum's well-being comes first as all staff professionally work together to meet all my mum's requirements. I will always be grateful to Hen Cloud and the staff/ management as they not only support my mum but they give us guidance and understanding
to help us manage our thoughts and feeling as we visit our mum and when we leave, which gives me the confidence to know my mum is having the best support and care, especially when keeping her safe.

Booked mum in for respite end of May or early June for two weeks, no cheerful greeting on arrival took time to be shown to her room, no introduction, not a great first impression. On further visits to mum, sometimes could not get in as no one on reception. Had to extend her stay for five nights due
to G.I. Infection on Doctors' advice, and felt this was not welcomed by the staff. When I asked to speak to a Manager sorry she is in a meeting all day! Always appear to be short of staff, long wait for any attention.

Mum has been a resident since April 2021 and although we have seen numerous changes in staff and managers, the care given has always been excellent. Recently, with a fall and hospital stay, Mum's needs have changed and the carers have been excellent in changing and adapting their care to meet her needs
which can vary.
The activities are excellent and varied - all credit to the activities coordinator.

As a friend of a resident at Hen Cloud House, I have been impressed by the level of compassion and dedication demonstrated by staff towards the residents. The atmosphere at Hen Cloud is warm and inviting, the staff are attentive to the needs of each individual and go above and beyond to ensure their
comfort and happiness, and it's evident that the place is well run and managed!
I am pleased with the cleanliness - the living spaces are kept tidy and well-maintained.
While no care home is without its challenges, I believe that Hen Cloud House does an excellent job of providing a safe and supportive environment for its residents. I would highly recommend it to anyone in search of quality care for their loved ones!

On the whole, the experience has been very good. My sister has been a resident since July 2022. There have been some teething problems but I feel now with current management things are improving.
The staff are exceptionally caring and if their efforts to meet her needs are not met it is due to circumstances
beyond their control such as staffing levels and levels of agency staffing. The lack of consistent senior management has also played a part.
I still feel that communication is an area that could always be improved on.
The effort to provide stimulation and enjoyment within the home is exemplary and I attribute this to how well my sister has settled and her mental health being.

The staff are approachable and deal with whatever request I have made.
The only problem that we have is that.
Mum dose not get her daily paper, and I have raised this quite a few times, please see if you can address this for me.

My mother has been a resident at Hen Cloud House since April 2023. The staff are exceptionally caring and have spent lots of time getting to know her likes and dislikes and she has become very fond of them.
The home itself is beautiful and welcoming to family members at all times.
It took a while
for my mother to settle there due to her dementia but I feel she is very well looked after and all her needs are being met.
