A lot of fun, helped by the caring staff.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. I will pass your kind words onto the team.
I am so impressed with the quality of care at Hen Cloud House. Mum is made to feel so welcome and this makes such a difference. I have visited many care homes and Hen Cloud is by far the best I have seen, beautiful bedrooms and small lounges and very good food. I can’t praise the management and staff enough, so friendly and professional.
Thank you for such a fabulous review, as always I will pass on your very kind words to the team.
You are always made to feel welcome. It is a lovely environment and very person-centred. going that little bit extra to make Mum feel at home with all her personal interests. Any issues that have been raised have been dealt with straight away.
My mum's needs are always catered for and if there is ever any issues or concerns they are always addressed professionally.
Thank you so much for this great review. We all take a huge pride in what we are trying to achieve for our residents and we so pleased we are achieving the desired outcome with your parent.
Staff rolled out the red carpet and provided a welcome pack on arrival. The whole unit looks like a 5-star hotel. All staff are exceptionally friendly and invested in helping my dad. We can visit at any time and are always made welcome. Staff are very knowledgeable regarding his medications and needs. Nothing is too much trouble for them - I wish I could move in!
We are thrilled by your review, thank you so much! We do try our best to ensure we create a warm and friendly welcome, I am pleased that this was apparent as this is our standard.
What a find Hen Cloud House is! Mum was transferred to Hen Cloud straight from the hospital following a nasty fall. Both Mum and I were made to feel at ease immediately. I can't praise the staff and facilities highly enough. Mum has now decided to make it her permanent home - a big thank you to you all Hen Cloud House.
We are delighted that your mom has settled so well and so quickly.
Staff liaised with family and the hospital to make certain the transition was smooth and that any questions were answered, giving Mum and us complete confidence at a very difficult time.
Since September Mum has gone from strength to strength. She looks so well! This is due entirely to the dedication and care from all members of the team at Hen Cloud. Nothing is too much trouble. From hair and nails to birthday cakes and family get-togethers, staff will do their utmost to facilitate.
In addition, the surroundings are those of a 5* hotel. We have thoroughly enjoyed our visits to the garden room for fish and chip suppers and an amazing surprise birthday tea!
Thank you all for everything you do. We have no hesitation in highly recommending Hen Cloud House.
We know that your mum in law moved from out of area so this was particularly stressful for you and mum and I am pleased that we were able to make the transition seamless.
Thank you once again for the kind words.
Her room is warm and comfortable and all the facilities are completely up to date as you would expect from a brand new build.
Thank you again for your kind words which I will pass on to the staff.
Kind regards.
A kind and caring environment. Staff go out of their way to keep Mum comfortable. Every time I leave I feel reassured that my mum is safe, clean and looked after. A lovely room, light and airy. High standard of care. Sadly Mum has not been able to experience all that is on offer because of Covid restrictions and latterly deterioration of health.
Thank you so much.

My mother-in-law moved in mid-September and the family are very pleased. She has settled in nicely and is being looked after and cared for in style and comfort.
Hen Cloud is lovely accommodation, it is beautifully and thoughtfully designed and laid out. The attention to detail is 5-star. As you walk in you get the feel of a luxury hotel.
We have mostly dealt with the manager who is a truly lovely and thoughtful man, it is very clear he takes huge pride in his job in the care industry. The way he greeted and talked to her was beyond excellent. We were reassured and happy that we had made the right decision.
I cannot imagine her being in another home. If there have been any issues we get a call/email update and they are always happy to receive a call.
Thanks so much.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your very kind words, and I will of course pass on your comments to the team.

The place is done out like a 5-star hotel. The food was great, the dining rooms/tables were set out with a lot of care and respect. Fine dining (with wine) indeed. A lot of safe outside space. Plenty of staff who are all very nice people, very caring and professional. The staff were friendly and organised a lot of activities. I want my parents to be here (when the time is right for them). Thanks to everyone.
Thank you so much for choosing Hen Cloud House for your respite stay for your parents. They were both a pleasure to have and we are really pleased that they returned home having had a great experience with all aspects of Hen Cloud House.
We would be more than happy to welcome them back for respite or longer term.
Kind regards
We are very happy with the wonderful care and facilities at Hen Cloud. My dad is always happy and relaxed and enjoys the food and company of the very caring staff. It is a very friendly and caring environment. Deep thanks to the staff and management.
Kind regards
Paul
Needed to use your facilities for my mother-in-law at very short notice. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. She is staying on 2-week respite care but hoping that she will eventually want to stay on a full-time basis. In her words, there is nothing not to like.
We are delighted that she is thinking of staying here on a permanent basis.
The place was like walking into a hotel. It was spotless and attention to detail was impeccable. My relative was admitted for short term respite and has only been there two days and is seriously thinking of staying there permanently as it is so perfect in every way. The staff are exceptional.
Thank you so much for your kind words, we are naturally very proud of Hen Cloud House and the team who deliver our care, we are so pleased your relative feels that the care and attention to detail are meeting her needs.
Visited Mum for the first time since she had moved into Hen Cloud and received such a warm welcome from all the staff on arrival and the necessary Covid tests were quickly and efficiently carried out. We had travelled a long distance and refreshments were all ready and waiting for us. The immediate impression upon entering the building is one of a warm, happy family atmosphere with a high standard building, beautifully (but practically) furnished. The layout of the home/gardens have been well thought out, flowing with wide corridors, lots of light and a comfy feeling. The management have brought together a very mixed age, respectful and friendly group of staff. One of the main reasons for selecting Hen Cloud was their criteria of not employing agency staff, with each member being able to carry out all functions - we felt this was crucial during these Covid times. Mum is always able to have lady carers look after her own personal care. Her enormous quality ensuite bathroom, with a seat to effortlessly transition her in/out of the bath, is marvellous. She has been encouraged to put her own pictures on the walls. When Covid rules allow, we look forward to joining her in the cinema room. Mum feels safe, secure and is enjoying herself.
Dad was the first resident to move into Hen Cloud House. Other residents have since joined, but I was a little nervous about him feeling lonely with the current quarantine restrictions. I need not have worried, he was made to feel welcome from the start, and the staff kept him company until the residents were able to socialise. The staff and management have been amazing. They are caring, considerate and very professional. Even when Dad had a health wobbly, the team showed due diligence and kept me informed regularly! I am so happy that we chose Hen Cloud House.
Thank you for your feedback. We are so pleased your Dad has settled in well at Hen Cloud House.
I've found Hen Cloud House to be an excellent facility in a good location. My mother feels very settled and secure here. The manager, in particular, has been very helpful in a difficult circumstance and has been professional and attentive throughout. The rooms are beautiful, and the food is very good. My mother is looking forward to more activities starting, in particular, the cinema! Thank you to the manager and all staff.
Thank you for your feedback. We are so pleased your Mum has settled in well at Hen Cloud House. We do ensure that all residents are consulted about how they like to spend their time so that meaningful activities can be planned.
The care my nan is receiving has been excellent from the moment she has been here. My nan appears very happy and secure within the home. For the family, this is great to know she is being looked after correctly and settled out mind at home too. Thank you to all the staff!
Thank you for your feedback. It is lovely to hear that the fantastic care provided at Hen Cloud House means you and your family can relax and not worry.
