My father has been a resident in Hermitage House for nearly 2 years and the level of care has been excellent. He has complicated health needs and these are all addressed in a very professional manner. The staff are wonderful and treat him with respect and dignity. Everyone is very friendly and supportive. I cannot recommend Hermitage House highly enough.

My Mum is in Morar living Hermitage house, the place is more akin to a 5 star hotel.
Kat (Manager) and Debbie (Deputy Manager) makes everything so easy, from form filling to day to day running, Holly is your first point of contact, she always has a smile and is so happy to help.
Mum is on the second floor, where Ellis Charlene and Ashley lead an amazing team where nothing is too much trouble, the activities ladies (Siobhan and Alison) arrange a wealth of activities.
John (the Handy man) could not do enough to help, nothing is a problem.

Over all we as a family could not think of a better place for Mum to be in.

Hi, very happy with the service provided, staff very professional, pleasant and helpful.
Management team very helpful and understanding. From my initial contact with the care home and a total understanding of the difficult position I was in trying to look after my sister the manager arranged a visit for me and my family to visit the facility and see what options were available to me.
Fortunately a room became available a short time after and this gave me a very difficult and emotional decision to make.
When my decision was made and the staff were made aware of what was happening, the admittance took place, under very difficult circumstances, this was handled very professionally by the relevant staff, who made it happen.
I am now in a situation whereby I know now it was the right decision, although again I may add probably one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make.

It gives me comfort knowing that my sister is safe and secure, being well looked after.

My experience of Hermitage House has been second to none. Having a loved one move into a care home can be really tough and knowing that that hermitage house is clean and welcoming and the staff are amazing and I feel my loved one is being very well cared for. The care being delivered is very personal centred, professional and the respect shown to the residents and their families is top class.
I have never been in a care home like Hermitage House and feel so lucky my family member managed to secure a space there to be cared for.
Knowing I want to visit my mum often makes this a better experience when the environment seems calm and friendly and the staff can never do enough.
They extra activities on offer break up the week for residents and can bring joy to them and their families.

I feel part of Hermitage House family and couldn't be more grateful for all the hard work everyone delivers to make this care home one of the best in my opinion.

It was a huge and heartbreaking decision to move my dad, who has alzheimers, into 24 hour care when we could no longer safely care for him at home. However, staff at Hermitage House have been incredible with both my dad and the wider family and the change of circumstances has actually become a positive experience for us all.

Despite resistance from my dad initially, he's settled really well and I believe this is down to the lovely, caring attitude of all the staff we've come across. It's clear that his care is provided to a really high standard and staff work really hard to make him feel valued and respected. There's lots of activities/social opportunities for him to join in with which was really important for us and has helped him to feel happy. The home itself is beautifully presented and very clean and most importantly the staff are excellent at what they do. I couldn't have asked for a better environment for my dad.

It is such a difficult decision to move a beloved parent into a care home but the staff at Hermitage House really put my mind at rest. A lot of attention is put in for people with dementia including a sensory room that dad enjoys (it doubles up as a nice quiet sitting room), books with old photos of local areas, baby dolls and a pram. There are lots of staff around all the time and everyone has gone above and beyond in making dad welcome and reassuring us too. When he fell ill it was picked up by nursing staff and handled appropriately which is a weight off our minds.

Rooms and grounds are beautiful. Menus are appetising and having seen the food it looks as good as it sounds. Also little mini bars in each wing so residents and visitors can grab snacks or water when they need. Whenever I see staff with other residents I see them talking kindly and with genuine warmth.

My mum has been living at Hermitage for 18 months, and we've been consistently impressed by the excellent care and warm, welcoming environment. The home is modern, clean, and spacious, with safe outdoor areas and comfortable spaces for quiet family time or a change of scene.
The staff are outstanding - kind, skilled, and always going the extra mile. The manager is approachable and operates an open-door policy, so any suggestions or concerns are dealt with quickly and effectively.
The clinical lead and team leaders listen closely and involve both residents and families in care planning. Mum has very complex needs, including severe aphasia and physical disability, but the team has supported her to enjoy the best possible quality of life and independence. They've welcomed input from physiotherapists, neuropsychologists, and occupational therapists, ensuring truly personalised care.

We feel very lucky to have found Hermitage - it gives us real peace of mind.

My Granny was admitted to Hermitage House recently. I have never been a care home environment before and was worried. I shouldn't of worried the staff were warm and inviting and my Granny was well cared for and looked the best she had in months. Staff took the time to find about her likes and dislikes. While visiting i found the staff to be engaging and very aware of non verbal ques from my Granny

My father has lived in Hermitage House for nearly 3 years. He frequently says "aren't we lucky that Hermitage House opened at just the right time". Dad has always had very high standards, and he (and I) are very impressed with every aspect of Hermitage House: the staff & management, building/accommodation, facilities, food, etc.

All staff (carers, nurses, cleaners, handyman, receptionist, laundry etc) get know the residents very well. And Dad enjoys his chats with them. He is invited to go on outings and join in the many activities that are on offer, but if he doesn't want to join in, he is never forced to do anything he doesn't want to. They treat residents as individuals.

The manager's office door is always open, close by the front door. No appointment ever necessary. Residents and relatives are always greeted with a welcoming smile, and we are made to feel that our opinions and suggestions are always welcomed. I cannot recommend Hermitage House enough. 5-star 10/10

When I was no longer able to care for my mum's needs at home I visited numerous care homes in the area. Hermitage House was stunning, the staff were warm and inviting, the manager eased my worries and concerns. I also looked into the care inspectorate reports and was very impressed at the high grading and feedback. My mum has now been in Hermitage House for a month and has settled well. Staff have got to know her routine and personality and have made me feel at home while visiting and at ease when leaving that my mum is safe and happy.
