Staff all friendly and helpful, Tracey on reception is a credit to you always smiling + helpful.
The catering staff are great catering for my specific diet.
Having my hair and feet done really makes a difference too.
Sadly our aunt passed away but the care and compassion shown by all the staff to my Aunt and ourselves was exemplary. They made a very emotional and difficult time a lot more bearable.
I can't thank them enough.
The care home was recommended to me by a hospital for 2 weeks respite care after knee replacement surgery. It gave me a place to rest & recover from the initial period when I couldn't cope on my own. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the outset, understanding that my main focus was recovery rather than joining in with all the activities. The food was excellent as soon as the main chef came back from her holiday, meeting my vegetarian needs. My overall experience was of a warm & caring place who treated everyone as an individual. Thank you.
I stayed at Holly Grange House from 09/102025 - 28/10/2025. I found the home to be excellent in every way nothing was too much trouble to any member of staff. It was like being at home. When the time comes that I have to stay in a home permanently I would like to think I could stay at this home. I certainly felt at home. The food was excellent and I enjoyed my stay, can't speak highly enough of it.
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We're delighted to hear that you felt so comfortable and at home during your stay at Holly Grange House. Our team works hard to create a welcoming, homely environment where every resident feels cared for, so your kind words mean a great deal to us....
My mother stayed at Holly Grange for 3 weeks respite care. She has previously stayed in other local care homes and has not been happy. At Holly Grange, she settled in easily and enjoyed her stay. Everyone that visited her was so impressed with the staff, newness and facilities.
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear that your mother felt comfortable and settled during her respite stay at Holly Grange. Knowing she enjoyed her time with us. It's also wonderful to hear that her visitors were impressed by our team and the facilities. We're...
Wonderful care was provided for respite. Staff were amazing, and my mother was extremely well cared for and all her needs were attended to. Would thoroughly recommend this home for either respite or permanent care.
Thank you for your wonderful review, i am so pleased your mother enjoyed her respite stay at Holly Grange House. Thank you for your kind words about the wonderful team, we will ensure your feedback is shared with them. Thank you.
Mum's first time in respite, and the staff were brilliant with her. Nothing was too much trouble. The home is clean and bright with great facilities.
Thank you for your wonderful review. I am so pleased mum enjoyed her respite stay at Holly Grange House and we are here if you need us again in the future. Thank you.
My mum was here for two weeks' respite care, and it was her first experience of a residential home. The care my mum received was excellent, and mum said that she wanted to return in the future. The staff were great, and the whole experience was well explained and easy.
Thank you so much for your kind review. Your mum was a delight to care for and we hope that she will return to us for another visit very soon.
However, I do find some of the residents very demanding (in some cases affecting the whole room), then I remind myself that this is a care home, not a 4-star hotel.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for your kind words about the care you've received, we're so pleased to hear that you feel well looked after and supported by our team. Please rest assured that we are always working to maintain a calm, respectful, and comfortable atmosphere for everyone.If...
Staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are 5 star and meals are excellent. Our relative is very happy and settled. So a big thank you to everyone.
My father moved into Holly Grange Care Home on 3rd April and I've been absolutely delighted with every aspect of his care. The staff are exceptional - from the front-of-house team and managers to carers, kitchen, laundry, and maintenance - all professional, kind, and clearly passionate about their work.
The facilities are superb, more like a luxury hotel than a care home. His room is beautifully furnished and quiet. The home includes several lounges, a hair salon, library, summer room, bar, movie theatre and balcony - all spotless, welcoming and very high quality.
The food is delicious, home-cooked, and varied, with plenty of treats available during the day.
Most importantly, the care is outstanding. Staff respond to call buzzers in under two minutes and provide support with dignity, respect, and great attention to safety.
As a regular visitor, I always feel welcome and supported. Holly Grange genuinely feels like my father's home - and I'm so grateful to everyone there.
Thank you for your lovely review. Your Dad is doing so well and we are enjoying seeing his confidence build with his daily walks. We so glad you decided to choose Holly Grange House.
I am very happy at Holly Grange House, if I wasn't happy here, I would have gone home and continued to wash and cook for myself. Having reached 93 in December my family asked me to try out care. They are all retired so I could not let them worry about me, they can now enjoy their retirement.
Thank you for your wonderful review. We are delighted to have you as part of the Holly Grange family and are thrilled that you are so happy here.
The facilities are first class. The room my father is in has everything he needs, from the adjustable bed to the walk-in shower. The food is top quality. There is a library, bar, cinema, and in-house hair salon.
Most importantly, I know my father is safe and his medical and day-to-day needs are being cared for. Residents are encouraged to be active with daily walks around the grounds and there is a programme of activities. Entrance to Holly Grange is carefully managed by staff using security access controls.
Since moving in a couple of months ago my father's health and outlook have improved dramatically. He is happy and his mobility is steadily improving.
I cannot thank the team at Holly Grange enough.
Thank you so much for your review. Your Dad is a pleasure to care for and it is wonderful to have witnessed the progression with his increased mobility.
Unfortunately, Dad only had a short time at the home and didn't have the opportunity to enjoy all Holly Grange has to offer its residents. The care provided was second to none and this was not exclusive to Dad, it was extended to his whole family, at what was a very difficult time for us.
The home provides excellent facilities, this along with the staff's interaction and the activities organised for the residents makes it and excellent place for loved ones who need that additional support.
If you are looking for a care home for a loved one, then I would look no further than Holly Grange.
Thank you for your lovely review. It was a privilege to care for your Dad, even though it was only for a short time.
My father was only here for a very brief period after leaving hospital - he was discharged on the proviso that the care home could meet his needs and that palliative care and end of life support could be met by NHS nursing the quick response team.
Thankfully all the above worked out and he made it to the home where he was comfortable, clean, fed and watered, cared for and treated with a high level of dignity and respect.
The environment is first class (I've stayed in worse hotels).
All the staff have been fantastic as has the management.
I thank you all very much for the care, respect and dignity given to my father and will always positively advocate for you.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review, I am so pleased we were able to care for your father at Holly Grange House and were able to make him comfortable. The whole team at Holly Grange House prides itself on delivering outstanding care and your review confirms the...
Facilities are excellent, and the main importance was that I had an update every morning about my dad. Someone always answered the phone which when you have been worried all night about how your dad was it was very reassuring. After a very short period of time they knew a lot about my dad, I sat in a meeting and was impressed with the knowledge they had obtained in a short period of time.
Thank you for your review Matt. We always endeavour to find out as much as we can about our residents, so that we can share common ground with them, especially if they have dementia. Your Dad is a lovely man and we hope that we managed to support him and your family in your quest to find him a forever home.
I would also say the value for money was the best, too.
Thank you so much for your review. Your Dad is an amazing gentleman and we are lucky to have the pleasure of his company every day. He has settled well and we enjoy our "Bore Da's" each and every morning.
Mum celebrated her 90th birthday in the care home and they did her proud, we had a lovely buffet and a birthday cake all made by the chef which was lovely and they also organised a singer to come in for an hour so the residents were singing along and dancing, was lovely to see them joining in, they made mum's birthday very special.
I would definitely recommend Holly Grange House to anyone that was looking for a care home for a loved one.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It was a delight to be able to celebrate your mum's 90th birthday in the home. She has settled well and made new friends as well as meeting up with old ones! She's an excellent bowler!!
Very good, would recommend, first class. Staff are brilliant also facilities are second to none, like a 5 star hotel. They hosted my mother in law's 90th birthday party, with a singer and food, went really well, very entertaining and emotional. Well done.
Thank you for your lovely review. Your mother in law's birthday party was a wonderful event and we were thrilled to be able to hold it in the home.
The visiting school children allow her to recapture her teaching days and the outings to places like the donkey sanctuary allow her to feel like she lives in a holiday camp - happy memories come back.
I would highly recommend Holly Grange House as everything is included and the love is abundant.
Thank you for your wonderful review, The whole team at Holly Grange House not only pride themselves on delivering outstanding care but also offering a warm friendly and welcoming environment for all visitors and your review confirms the fantastic work the whole team does. Thank you.

Meet the Team (1)

It is a huge privilege that families trust us to care for their loved ones. Holly Grange House is a friendly and happy home with a wonderful atmosphere.
Before my current role, I was a care manager here. Being able to progress to home manager has been such a highlight and makes the most of my master’s degree in leadership in healthcare.
We have a strong team here, and collaboration is important to ensure we deliver dynamic, person-centred care. Being able to empathise deeply is also essential, while also understanding how we can provide the support needed on a practical level. As with any leadership role, you need to be professional, be a good communicator and be reliable.
I am really proud of Holly Grange House, and we all work incredibly hard to make sure everything runs smoothly. It is important to me that all residents and colleagues feel safe and supported here.
In my spare time, I enjoy paddleboarding and photography. I also like to go on long walks in the Peak and Lake District.
