Holly Oak Care Centre is simply outstanding. My mum settled in immediately and thoroughly enjoys the daily activities (especially the music sessions), plus the trips out in the minibus. Meals provided at Holly Oak are nutritious and appetising. Rooms are stylishly furnished and always spotlessly clean and tidy. The Care Team are incredible. Their compassion is second to none. It is a great comfort that I know my mum is being well cared for and that her health and wellbeing is continuously monitored. The staff are friendly, welcoming and supportive when I visit and they always find time to have a chat, usually over a cup of tea. I cannot recommend Holly Oak Care Centre highly enough.

We moved my father and mother-in-law into Holly Oak Care Centre at the end of January after a very careful selection process, a lot of thought, and no little concern about how they would adapt having been cared for in their own home for over two years. Thankfully, that careful selection meant that our worries were unfounded. The amazing team of carers made them feel very welcome from the moment they arrived, and their ongoing care, professionalism and compassion have helped both of them settle in very quickly. My mother-in-law thinks she's in some kind of posh hotel because of all the people in the common rooms and the attentive staff (which is no bad thing) and my father-in-law enjoys the food (his last remaining pleasure) and can take a nap whenever he needs. The common rooms are smartly furnished and welcoming (the Orangery especially) and the individual rooms are modern and stylish, but it is the staff who make Holly Oak what it is - their care and compassion stand out.

My father has settled in really well at the Holly Oak Care Centre, thanks in no small part to the wonderful care staff who have been so kind and helpful. The facilities in the home are first class and there are regular activities for the residents to enjoy. My father particularly enjoys the music sessions and they even got him up dancing. He also seems to enjoy the food and a glass or two of red wine, Holly Oak is a everything we hoped for in choosing a care home and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Following a relatively quick physical and cognitive decline after a diagnosis of frontal-temporal dementia and Alzheimers at the relatively early age of 67 it became clear that the home care that my brother, who is single, was receiving, was no longer sufficient to meet his needs, and that residential care was essential. I was therefore delighted that a place became available at Holly Oak Care Centre in February 2022. The care he is receiving is first class, with his best interests being attended to in every way possible, both from the health and social perspective. The activities provided and his daily care are first class, including the provision of a keyboard so that in a very limited way he can continue to be provided with a link to his musical ability. All in all I am very impressed with Holly Oak and the care provided by the staff and the environment.

My mum has been a resident at Holly Oak Care Centre for just over a year and I cannot speak highly enough of the care home. She had previously been living in The Hollies and moved to Holly Oak on the advice of the home due to changes in her care needs. The Holly Oak environment with its 'household model of care' provides a supportive, family environment which has really helped to address my mums spiralling anxiety and allowed her to enjoy socialising and activities again. The improvement in her quality of life has been a huge relief and there are lots of activities going on. All the staff are so welcoming, friendly and supportive, both to my mum and to us as visiting family. The home has seemed to navigate the difficulties of Covid extremely well and worked hard to enable visiting during challenging times. I have appreciated the lovely facilities at Holly Oaks, in particular Betty's tea room, where we can have a family get together in a supportive environment over a very delicious cream tea!

We are so pleased with the excellent care provided to our Dad from all of the staff at Holly Oak Care Centre. My Dad was diagnosed with Frontal Lobe dementia (early onset) at the age of 62, which was devastating for my brother and I. When his cognitive abilities declined and with young families ourselves we felt we had to make the most difficult decision to move him to a care home. Thanks to the professional and passionate staff at Holly Oak this difficult process turned out to be life changing and a huge relief. Dad is now very settled and happy. I would highly recommend this home for dementia care, both early onset and advanced.

I started my working career after studying a Pharmacology degree, which led me to work in a community pharmacy, and after hearing all the wonderful things about Care UK, I wanted to try something new in my career, so I joined Care UK.
Previously at Care UK, I was Deputy Manager at Winchcombe Place and have taken part in the Future Home Manager Program to help me develop my skills and understanding of home care to be a successful home manager. Within my role, I believe you need to be knowledgeable on a wide range of key areas, responsible, approachable, efficient and understanding, which has helped me develop a successful team.
Outside of work, I love to dance, and previously I’ve been featured on television in a dance competition.
