I am very happy with the care both my parents receive in this home. They both have dementia but very different needs. The home has done personalised care and support plan on them both and this ensures their individual needs, wishes are met. The home provides a good choice of activitys for both them
if they wish to participate. They are treated with respect and dignity. All staff who work there are friendly and approachable who work hard in the day to day running of the home. The home has a very high standard of cleanliness.

My Nan recently spent just over 2 weeks in jubilee care home on respite,The Jubilee team were amazing in all respects, providing absolutely first rate care for my Nan. They combined professionalism with genuine warmth and kindness, making her feel truly welcomed
and quickly at home. Truly exceptional
care provision. The home is clean and a real home from home, but best of all is the care that they provide. All the staff are friendly, approachable and really care for the residents. The activities and food are other stand-outs. Thank you very much for looking after her so well.

One concern sometimes when I visit no care worker in lounge there should be one in all the time incase of falls . Also I have heard only one bath shower per week I think needs to be at least two to keep them clean . All staff I meet are all nice and helpful. Marella seems great with all residents and
try's her best to get them involved with activities.
Reply from Erica Lawrence, Registered Manager at Jubilee Care HomeThank you for your feedback. We're pleased to hear you find our staff nice and helpful, and we appreciate your kind comments about Marella and the support she gives residents with activities.
Resident safety is very important to us. Staff monitor communal areas, including the lounge, and we will review this to ensure residents continue to be appropriately supported.
Personal care is provided according to each resident's care plan, needs, preferences and choices. All residents also receive full body washes at least twice daily, with additional support as required.
As manager, I have reminded all staff that personal hygiene care plans are confidential and must not be discussed with visitors unless they have the appropriate Power of Attorney and consent, where applicable.
Thank you again for your constructive feedback, which helps us continue to improve our care.

After recently losing her husband, my Nan went to stay at Jubilee for some respite care, just until we made the arrangements for her to go back home. I have been to visit regularly and have been impressed with the care home.
The first thing I noticed is that it's very clean, it's well decorated and
there are lots of places for residents to go and spend time out of their rooms. The staff are all friendly and attentive, and although very busy will always make time for you. The dining room always has a good variety of food and I know my Nan likes to go there for a drink and a chat with the other residents. She has her hair done once a week at the resident hair salon and we can come and see her whenever we like.
My previous impressions of care homes haven't always been positive, but this one has shown me what can be possible when you've got a team of staff that are so passionate about providing the best care for your family members.

My Mum came to Jubilee Care Home for a period of respite whilst organising home care for her to return to her own home after the sudden death of my Dad (her husband) of 71 years.
The care staff were very kind and attentive to my mum's needs and showed great compassion and warmth to my mum's loss and
grief. We would like to thank you all for offering us a safe place for my Mum in these difficult weeks.

Jubilee Care Home is the best, it always smells nice and the staff are exceptional. You can visit any hour of the day and there's always a lovely welcome. The food is the best and nothing is too much trouble. There are plenty of activities and a super hair dresser who attends every week. Care is excellent
and the rooms are kept fresh, tidy and homely. I love knowing my mum is cared for and loved.

I am very happy with the care given to my mum at this home. Mum is always clean and tidy, well fed and I feel that she is treated as an individual in the home. All the staff are lovely and approachable and the manager's door is always open if I have any concerns over Mum's welfare. There is a great
activities programme for all abilities. All the meals look delicious. It wasn't an easy decision to put Mum into care, but she is very happy here.

Mum arrived at Jubilee in April 2022 initially on respite then permanently after the death of my stepdad in May 2022. Throughout her time at Jubilee, her care has been amazing. She was well known by her carers, was cared for despite some dementia confusion was happy there. The carers were always kind,
caring and fun with her and with other residents. When Mum reached end of life in December 2023 I couldn't have wished for her to be in anyone else's care. The staff were great with her to the end and showed me care and kindness too. Would highly recommend it.

My father was cared for in Jubilee from January 2023 to December 2023 when he sadly passed away. It was evident very quickly that Dad felt safe and reassured at Jubilee. He trusted the staff so that was great to see for his family. He was right to do so as the care and courtesy he received was unmistakable.
Jubilee puts residents first and works tirelessly to create a sheltered, interesting and contented home.

My mum is well cared for. She is kept clean in clothes and fed well. She is very happy and she refers to her room as 'her flat'. She likes the staff on the unit. The staff are very good, having twice picked up on UTIs, having only been here 2 months. I am at peace with her being here and she is in safe

My neighbor has settled in brilliantly and looks happy and content. She feels safe and has praise for all the staff. I felt very welcome as a visitor and had a nice chat with the manager.
Activities are arranged on a regular basis and the Valentine's ball was still being discussed by the residents
in the lounge, the ladies were showing me their lovely red polished nails.
Everywhere felt clean and fresh and comfortable and well supervised.

I hope this review helps other families.
My dad aged 86 with advanced dementia and was prone to falls. My dad stayed at Jubilee for just 25 days. Dad was left unsupervised whilst on the toilet, resulting in him falling and breaking his hip. No member of staff told us dad had gone to the hospital,
a friend that works at the hospital did. We were told by management the member of staff had to fill in their paperwork first. The directors of the home told me it wasn't normal practice for staff to stay with residents whilst on the toilet if I only knew this before.
An accident report was not filled in until 2 weeks later, this should have been done within 24hrs! We were never shown a care plan, risk assessment, etc.
Jubilee is a care home and not a nursing home, it would appear Dad was in the wrong type, they do not cater for nursing at all. This home has failed many times with the short time our dad was there. Sadly Dad passed away shortly after this preventable accident.
Reply from Bins Abraham, Director at Jubilee Care HomeHi Brendan,

Current Review Score: 8.7 (8.724)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.7 (8.724) out of 10 for Jubilee Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.800 for Jubilee Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (48 Excellents x 5) + (12 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 4.8
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.924 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Jubilee Care Home is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 59 registered maximum number of service users is 11.8. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 11.8 = 0.424
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
