Lindsey Hall Care Home, rated Outstanding by CQC (Sept 2017), provides residential and dementia care, plus respite and day care stays.

The original school building has been completely retained and has fantastic lounges and dining rooms as well as an internal street scene, which has become the heart of the home. This street scene includes an internal bowls green, bandstand and seven shop fronts for reminiscence. These include a general store, music store, antiques shop, beach hut, florists and guest house.

Lindsey Hall's arcade area has working facilities including an old fashioned pub, cinema, post office, hair and beauty salon, café and shop. The street scene and arcade are fantastic for reminiscence and give residents the feeling of 'going out' into the community but without leaving the safety of the home. These facilities are utilised by visiting friends and families and also within the 7 days a week activity programme, run by a dedicated activity team.

The home is split into three areas, including a 20 bed Haven to care for residents living with dementia related illnesses. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities and are located on the ground floor. Bedrooms in the residential unit have their own doors out to patio areas. The home also has four private sensory gardens with allotments, themed areas and an outdoor artificial bowls green.

Admission Criteria

  • The care home welcomes applications for admission from individuals who require residential or dementia care. All admissions are based on an assessment of the individual’s care needs to ensure the home can provide appropriate support and a safe, comfortable environment. Before admission, a thorough assessment is carried out in consultation with the individual, their family, and relevant professionals. This includes reviewing health, personal, and social care needs, as well as preferences and lifestyle choices, to ensure a personalised care plan can be developed. Admissions are offered subject to the availability of suitable accommodation and the ability of the home to meet the assessed needs. Priority is given to ensuring that every resident’s safety, dignity, and wellbeing are maintained at all times. Trial visits or short stays may be offered where appropriate, to support a smooth transition into the home. Visiting

  • Visitors are welcome to spend time with residents and are encouraged to maintain regular contact with their loved ones. Visiting hours are flexible, allowing friends and family to come at times that suit both the resident and the home’s routine.


    To ensure the comfort and wellbeing of all residents, visitors may be asked to sign in on arrival and follow any safety or hygiene guidance in place. Large groups and young children are welcome, though it may be requested that visits take place in designated areas to maintain a calm environment for everyone.


    Pets are often welcome by prior arrangement, as long as they are well-behaved and do not cause distress to residents.


    If a resident is unwell or receiving end-of-life care, visiting arrangements can be adapted to allow family and close friends more time and privacy.


    Visitors are encouraged to check with the home team in advance if there are any special requirements or if they wish to arrange a private space for their visit.

Excellent care/friendly home/great facilities.
My mum has experienced this homely residential unit for the last 18 months.
As a family we have the assurance she is well settled, in this warm, comfortable, friendly home. There is always a happy face to help with her daily needs, give her medications
on time, and keep an eye on her health and liaise with GP if required.
Home-cooked food is served in the lovely dining room or in rooms if preferred. Good healthy choice on the menu.
Clothes are laundered.
All staff are friendly and welcoming when visiting and happy to answer questions - either when visiting or via the phone.

My mum moved to Lindsey Hall in 2017 after a very poor experience in another care home. Mum's condition had deteriorated so much we felt we wanted her to have her remaining time in the home that would really care for her. Within a few weeks, Mum had improved so much we were amazed. Mum remained at Lindsey
until she passed away this month. The care and compassion of the staff have been outstanding not only to Mum but to us as a family, especially during the last days of Mum's life. The staff at Lindsey Hall make all the difference.

My father-in-law moved into Lindsey Hall Care Home in February. We decided it was the best place for him as it seemed to be the most friendly and caring home in the area. They go above and beyond their normal duties and are quick to act whenever an issue arises, keeping us informed straight away. We
are so grateful for the excellent care Dad is receiving. He is encouraged to join in with all the different activities Lindsey Hall offers (which is vast) and enjoys trips out in the minibus.
Recently, Dad celebrated his 100th birthday where Lindsey Hall gave him, the residents, family and friends a wonderful party in the “street”. The atmosphere by everyone was truly amazing which couldn’t have happened without the dedicated and conscientious efforts made by the staff. We cannot speak more highly of everyone for providing such a wonderful and outstanding service and are incredibly grateful for the excellent care and support Dad has been given. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I am so grateful for the excellent care my mum received for the few years she was with you. As I live a long way from mum I could be reassured that she was happy in Lindsey Hall and you became her family. Every part of mum's care was carefully considered and delivered in a truly holistic way. Mum loved

Mum has been a resident here since they first opened and I cannot praise the staff highly enough. From the moment you walk through the door you are greeted warmly and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. The management team are always available to help and provide advice and know their residents
very well. The home has extremely high standards of cleanliness and everywhere is immaculately maintained. The food is amazing, so much so that Mum went up almost 3 dress sizes! The fabulous carers are friendly, kind, patient and dedicated and know Mum so well they can anticipate and interpret her needs, even though she is unable to vocalise them due to her dementia. The dementia unit feels like its own little family, the visitors get to know each other as well as the other residents and support each other in difficult times. Mum enjoys all the various things the wonderful activities staff arrange, particularly the daily singing. I know Mum is in the best possible setting.

I could see most of the residents having a great time, having made friendships and taking part in the many activities going on every day. They looked very happy and well cared for. They had the freedom to wander to the lovely Hall where there would often be entertainment or an exercise class. The food
was lovely and it was a very clean place.
My mother’s situation was different as she was admitted to the dementia unit with advanced dementia. I wanted her to be happy but she wasn’t. I wanted her to be clean at all times but she was often non-compliant. There were days when she was fairly happy and joined in with dancing and listening to music. Some of the carers were absolutely excellent and I could tell Mum had a good bond with them. They got to know she had been a dancer in her youth and loved music.
Lockdown was difficult as she deteriorated very quickly, finally passing away without us being able to see her.

Mt aunt, who is 93 next month, lived independently all her adult life in the West Midlands in her own home. It is to the great credit of the management and all the staff at Lindsey Hall, that she has settled in so well. Her care has always been very sympathetic, warm and attentive in every respect.
Her room is spacious, comfortable and very pleasant. The facilities are most impressive including the dining room (with a varied and enjoyable menu), the lounge, the library, the main hall, and the well-appointed gardens. The management have dealt with the extreme difficulties and challenges arising from the pandemic in an exemplary manner. The welfare of the residents and staff is the paramount consideration. All in all, it is so reassuring to know that my aunt could not be in a better place.

Lindsey Hall has a fabulous range of facilities for residents which makes it a pretty special place. However, what I value and appreciate most about Lindsey Hall is that the staff really care. Going the extra mile comes as standard. On Dad’s good days they celebrate with him and help him make the most
of those days. On his bad days they rally round and do everything within their power to help him through those days. Management and staff also offer much valued support to the families of residents, helping us to navigate through what can sometimes be difficult and complex times. Every member of the team works hard to ensure that those in their care are supported to live their best life possible in safe and comfortable surroundings.

My mum became a resident just prior to the lockdown, but whilst we were able to go into the home, we found it has excellent facilities, is very clean and well maintained. All the staff we met were very friendly and welcoming, and it was obvious they had the best interests of my mum and the family in
mind.
Since lockdown, Lindsey Hall has facilitated video calls to keep in touch, and have provided a visiting room to maintain some contact. All the staff have been incredibly supportive during this difficult time, and we have also had a review to discuss the existing and ongoing care. I know that I can pick up the telephone at any time and discuss any concerns there may be.
We, as a family, are incredibly grateful for the excellent care and support all the staff give.

Mum became a resident in Dec 2019 after we finally accepted that caring at home was no longer in her best interest.
The exponential improvement of her deteriorating condition was immediately noticeable and a massive relief to the whole family.
Mum now has a "second family" at Lindsey Hall who we are
extremely happy to share her with.
The standard of care, compassion, and involvement with the residents has to be experienced to be believed.
We can all sleep at night knowing Mum is receiving the best care possible and is in a "happy place".

Mum has been a resident at Lindsey Hall for over 4-years and celebrated her 91st birthday in January this year. It is without a doubt she would not have reached this good age without the care provided by the home, which is reflected in her current wellbeing.
Obviously, the lockdown has had an impact
on our visiting, which is to be accepted, but the management has done everything possible within the constraints to allow a continuation during these difficult times.
I am unable to speak more highly of all members of staff and their dedication in providing such a wonderful level of service, and take this opportunity to thank each and everyone for their continual efforts.

Staff are very helpful.

Lindsey Hall is fantastic. My mum is always treated kindly and with dignity. All the staff are very competent and caring.
The home is well organised and clean and friendly. There is always an activity if mum wants to join in and if she doesn't feel well enough, someone is always popping in. It could
be to help her up in the morning, or to gently remind her it is meal time or with a cup of tea and cake. These little visits throughout the day and the positive caring attitude of the staff make all the difference to Mum. She is always telling me how well looked after she is. Mum has made lots of friends with the other residents and they are always visiting each other.
The care is excellent. If I have any worries, I can call any time and someone will reply straight away. COVID is a worry and I feel that Mum is in the safest place and that the staff have done everything possible to reduce the risk.
I feel very lucky and relieved that our family found Lindsey Hall.

This is an outstanding care home. The staff are absolutely amazing and nothing is too much for them. The care home is like staying in a 5* hotel. It is warm, welcoming and very clean.

The care my mum is receiving, particularly during this lockdown period during the COVID-19 epidemic, is exemplary. The staff have all been wonderful whilst working under very difficult circumstances. We have been kept well informed by the management of everything happening and can access a social media
page which is kept up to date with news, pictures and videos.
My mum receives excellent care and has a lovely room on Clee. She is able to enjoy the garden as all rooms are on the ground floor and she has her own door on to the enclosed garden with a patio which she can sit out on. The facilities at Lindsey Hall are very good and the activities staff try to offer a variety of things to interest residents. It has been wonderful during the lockdown, to have them facilitate video call meetings with my mum.
All the staff are very caring, not only the wonderful care staff but also the administrative, cleaning, catering and maintenance staff. They deserve gold stars, especially at the moment!

I would highly recommend Lindsey Hall Care Home. My mum is so happy there and so well looked after. I particularly wanted to write a review during this lockdown due to Covid-19. The home's social media page lets us see photos of the residents and the ability to video call is fantastic. The home keeps
us up to date with all the actions the home has put in place which is very reassuring.
This is a fantastic home with such dedicated and kind staff. The family are so pleased Mum is here. Thank you.
