Meet the Team (4)
I’m Karen, Deputy Home Manager at Millfield Rose Care Home. I joined MACC Care in October 2025, initially supporting Wyrley Rose before moving to Millfield Rose. Having seen the home being built, I was drawn to the company because its values closely matched my own.
I qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 1994 and have over 20 years’ experience leading dementia and complex care services. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment where residents feel respected and truly at home.
My role centres on guiding the team, supporting families and ensuring high standards of care are consistently delivered.
The most rewarding part of my role is spending time with residents and being part of their daily lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy family time and supporting the Royal British Legion.
Hello, I’m Rebecca, and I’m part of the Customer Relations team at Millfield Rose Care Home. I’m new to MACC Care, but after seeing the positive impact the home has on residents and the local community, I knew it was somewhere I wanted to be.
I have over 10 years of experience working in private healthcare, where I developed a strong understanding of how important it is to support people through what can be an emotional decision.
In my role, I build relationships with prospective residents, families and professionals, supporting enquiries, arranging visits and helping people feel confident in their choices. I also spend time in the local community, raising awareness of the home and the care we provide.
What I enjoy most is knowing I can make a real difference during an important time in people’s lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two young children.
Hello, I’m Adam, Lead Administrator at Millfield Rose Care Home. I joined in December 2025 after relocating from Wales and was keen to take on a varied role where I could support both residents and staff.
I oversee the day-to-day administration of the home, from welcoming families to managing documentation, finance processes and stock. Organisation and adaptability are key as no two days are the same.
What I enjoy most about Millfield Rose is the strong team spirit and the genuine care shown for residents. There is always a sense of warmth and humour throughout the home.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as cycling, running and travelling.
Hello, I’m Rachael, Activity and Wellbeing Coordinator at Millfield Rose Care Home. I joined in December 2025 and bring over seven years of experience in care, having progressed from Care Assistant to Team Leader.
I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care and am passionate about supporting residents’ emotional and social well-being alongside their care.
I plan and deliver a wide range of activities, from arts and crafts to music, exercise and community events, all tailored to each individual.
The best part of my role is seeing residents engaged, smiling and enjoying meaningful moments each day.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my children and being part of my church and local community.
