Over all time Oak Park Care Home has 35 reviews.
Before moving to Oak Park Care Home my parents spent time in a couple of other care homes for convalescence. It was for this reason they initially stayed at Oak Park. Once they experienced the wonderful home they did not want to leave and insisted on staying permanently. The decor and furnishings are regularly updated keeping the home at a very high standard. However, what stands out is the atmosphere created by outstanding carers. I cannot thank them enough for their patience and compassion. It's good to have an opportunity to praise them and let them know how much they are appreciated.
Thank you so much for your review. We will share your thoughts about our home with the staff teams.
In my experience, Oak Park truly cares about its residents. It passes a warm and inviting atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff who are well managed. The facilities are first class, and the maintenance and quality of the surrounding cannot be faulted. In addition to treating residents with dignity and respect, visitors are also shown the same attention and made to feel welcome and valued.
My mum fitted into Oak Park Care Home really well. She made good friends with the staff who all treated her with genuine care. She was very ill when she was sent to Oak Park but improved hugely with the good food and attention she got there.
Thank you for your review, it's lovely to hear how well your mother has settled at Oak Park and that you have seen an improvement. We will pass on your words to the team who will be appreciative of your comments.
The continued requirements for staff and visitor mask-wearing is Mum's only complaint.
Thank you for your kind comments and for taking the time to complete the review. We are pleased that mum remains happy and content at Oak Park Care Home. I will pass your kind comments on to the team.
My mother has been a resident for over two years. The covid lockdown months were very difficult for staff residents and relatives but the management and staff worked extremely hard to ensure the residents were safe and well cared for. My mother enjoys the food at Oak Park very much, so special thanks to the kitchen staff. The activities staff are amazing and also very hard working. All care staff are friendly and work very hard. Many, many thanks to all.
The team at Oak Park would like to say a big thank you for your kind review. It's wonderful to have recognition for the care we give to our residents at Oak Park.
Oak Park Care Home has a homely atmosphere and residents look happy and well cared for. Meals are prepared on the premises and there are daily activities to keep spirits up. Staff are friendly and caring and I feel better knowing my lovely Mum is in good hands.
I visited my mum today in Oak Park Care Home where she has just arrived today and it was so lovely to see my mum smiling again after a month in hospital, moving 6 times to different wards and between two hospitals. The staff at Oak Park were so lovely and helpful. The home itself is beautiful inside and outside. It is more like a hotel than a care home and beautifully decorated and furnished to very high standards. I now have peace of mind at last that my mum is in the best place and will be well looked after now. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a care home for their relative. 10/10 for everything. To see my mum so happy again was such a relief and makes it easier to rest now and relax, knowing that she is safe and getting the best care possible. Thank you to all the staff at Oak Park Care Home. From one very happy daughter and granddaughter.
We will endeavour to ensure that mom remains as happy as can be, and that you as a family feel relaxed.
From the minute my grandma moved into Oak Park, we, as a family, knew it was the best decision. The home is beautiful, the staff are so friendly and happy to answer any questions we have. Fantastic home with a fantastic team! Highly recommend!
Dear Chloe, what a wonderful review, thank you for taking the time to do this. I will pass on your comments to the team, which I'm sure they will be really pleased by your comments and happy to hear how well your and grandma's experience has been here at Oak Park.
Great place and the staff are friendly and approachable; they try their best to get the residents included and interactive in daily activities. My mum recently moved there from another home, and Oak Park Care Home is far superior in all aspects than the previous place. Can’t recommend the staff and residency enough.
Kindest regards.
My mother was a resident on the Mitchell Suite of Oak Park, she was treated with dignity and respect and enjoyed her stay, she was not the easiest lady to please but they did a grand job. Her room was lovely comfortable and spacious with an ensuite. I couldn’t thank the staff within the unit enough for the care they provided for her in the three years she was with them, they are a very compassionate and brilliant team. In her final days, the team went the extra mile to ensure she was comfortable and allowing us to safely visit during the pandemic. They are led by great management and I could not be more grateful. Thank you so much all at Oak Park.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, as a team we at Oak Park really appreciate you taking the time to do this.
The management have tried to maintain contact between families and residents, providing Skype and when the government guidelines allowed, a space for residents to receive visitors safely. The activities co-ordinator arranges a variety of fun activities to bring the residents together. There is a choice of beautifully furnished areas to sit or take exercise along the corridors lined with interesting artwork. The residents are given as much freedom and choice as is safely available. Oak Park is well managed, clean and with appetising food. I am so grateful it is there to care for our loved ones.
Thank you so much for the kind review. It means such a lot to all the team at Oak Park.
During the Covid lockdown without exception, they have tried their hardest to keep residents happy treating them like part of their own family and they were never too busy to stop and have a chat.
Over the last few weeks as Mum's health deteriorated they always kept me informed as to how she was and what was happening, letting me sit in on doctors visits even though they were in lockdown and letting me sit with her in her last few hours.
Thank you Oak Park from all the family.
Thank you for taking the time to write this, especially at such a difficult time. It's lovely to hear that your experiences of the home and care where positive.
Wonderful loving caring environment for my mum. Management always make time to reassure me and family that Mum is doing well which greatly reduces anxiety and worry. In these strange times, it's fantastic knowing Mum is thriving and cared for by an amazing team of carers.
Thank you so much for your kind review, we really appreciate your kind words. Hope to see you again soon.
My mum is not only well cared for here, she is happy and settled. I can't recommend Oak Park highly enough. Thank you to all the staff.
