My mum was lucky enough to get a place here. She has mixed dementia and has deteriorated quite quickly and as been here approx 5 weeks after being in hospital for 5 weeks and after being told prepare for end of life the turn around has been amazing. Since we had the welcome walk around for ourselves we were amazed at how lovely and how the place is run. The carers are amazing always smiling and willing to help and even the management know each resident by name there not treated as a patient. My mum is now flourishing and engaging and enjoy being with other people her age after being stuck in her council home on her own with just 4 care visits a day. The carers talk to her and make sure she does as many activities she wants too. Her room is lovely and she is really enjoying being there. After months of looking after our mum by ourselves which has been so tiring as I work it's a relief to know she is in a lovely modern place with people that generally care for her.

I realised I needed a break being unable to go with friends due to age and physical slowness. I was welcomed on arrival and taken to a pleasant room that I was to use for seven days. It was a very helpful seven days. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, taking my medications over while I stayed with Osbern Manor. This was very unexpected this care was an added physical help. I live alone and care for myselft - I want to continue this but not to be foolish. Taking care provide contact if needed. My experience at Osbern Manor was enjoyable, invigorating and fun, and I am grateful for the experience.

Osbern Manor has been a blessing to our family. The staff throughout the home which can only be described as "Hotel with Care"are professional, warm & genuinely caring. The home is spotless, the food for my Aunt Gwen was excellent, whilst the activities were in abundance. From the moment we found Osbern we were reassured that this couldn't be beaten. Gwen was treated with real dignity & kindness & nothing was too much trouble. They gave us peace of mind whilst she was happy ,safe & well cared for. Their communication was examplary in all respects. We were impressed by the gardens outside which were nicely kept whilst some rooms have their own patio which lead into the garden , this Gwen loved . As far as all my family were concerned 5 stars aren't enough for Osbern Manor & we would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to anyone. We found every single member of staff to be an absolute credit to Osbern Manor, whilst we extend our gratitude to each & everyone employed there.

Our dear father was a resident of Osbern Manor during 2025. He moved from another care home, sadly for just a few months. However, we cannot speak highly enough about the level of care he received whilst there. He wasn't always easy, due to the stage of dementia. But staff were always very attentive and extremely patient. He was always treated with the utmost dignity and respect. The staff responsible for his direct personal care always had time to update us on anything going on, good or bad. There was a lot of compassion and support for relatives. We had access to an app, so you could access daily updates about care/medical issues. It was great, as if you could not see managers directly you could get updates. We felt very relaxed and the worrying was far less than it had been previously. When the sad time came, they made him so comfortable and his passing was very peaceful. I would not hesitate in recommending Osbern Manor to anyone looking for an extremely warm and professional home.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

The staff and the management were all so amazing, supportive, patient and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for my dad or any of his visitors.

The wholebhome and the rooms were so warm and welcoming and everything we needed was easily available and again no trouble.

All my dads visitors said if this was where they would live eventually sign them up now!!

As above everyone was amazing but a special thanks to Neal for arranging everything, Gabriela for the amazing care, as if my dad was her only resident and Eugene for the constant smiles and helpfulness.

I couldn't recommended Osbern Manor highly enough.

We have nothing but praise for Osbern Manor. Our darling Mum has been a resident since it opened. The staff are wonderful with her and treat her as if she was their own relative. She became very poorly suddenly in February so much so that they called us in as we thought it was the end, the staff were so caring not only to Mum but also to us listening to our wishes and some members of staff staying late to support us with hugs and endless cups of tea and genuine thoughtfulness and care. Many of members of staff that were not carers, popped up to see how she was and to ensure that we had all we needed. Mum pulled through and thankfully and she is as well as she can be.

Thank you Osbern, you are wonderful x

My Uncle who is 96 years old moved into Osbern Manor on 22nd September 2025 from a different care home ( duration of 10 months 3weeks). His words were this "home blows the other one out the park ." . Modern up to date requirements making his life easier . A proper dining experience with menu and service . For my Uncle it is being with residents that have full capacity and good staff organisation that has made a difference.. Thank you Osbern Manor ( Oakland Care ) .

Fantastic facilities and exemplary rooms and decor. Great location and lovely cafe for relatives and residents to use. Sadly the care and management did not reflect this standard. Whilst some care staff did go above and beyond, the way this service is managed really lets this placement down.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this home for a relative who is self sufficient and able to look after themselves and join in most activities. But, this placement is not suitable for the criteria that they advertise, in particular nursing and advanced dementia. This is nothing more than and beautiful residential home. If you need proper personal care or nursing, look elsewhere.

My dad has been at the care home for a few months. All staff seem friendly and kind, and they offer lots of different activities to the residents. The care home is well looked after, clean and welcoming to visitors and the residents. My dad likes it there and the staff are quite good. Feedback is taken on board but not necessarily acted upon. Its very expensive, but they all are! It's better than the other care home he tried and they do look after their residents.

As one of the newest members of the Clients Relations Team for Kent, I’m very proud to be a part of the Oakland Care family.

I originally trained as a photographer and photographic printer back in the days of film! From shooting family portraits in the studio one day to being in the darkroom the next, it was a varied job.

I then worked in a Grammer School Art and D.T. departments, supporting the teachers and students. Ensuring learning had taken place. My main role was setting up and running the photography unit.

Before joining the Oakland Care family, I spent nine years with a boutique Cinema, covering many aspects of the business and heading up customer relations.

Working for Oakland Care has been by far the most personally rewarding; helping residents and their families navigate what can be a difficult and stressful pathway to happiness gives me immense pleasure.

Our residents are at the heart of everything we do here at Oakland Care, and I feel truly humbled to be a part of it.

Outside work, I enjoy getting out in the fresh air, either on my bike or walking in the countryside.
