Park View Nursing Home is a luxurious care home, situated in a peaceful, tree-lined road, overlooking the historic Prince’s Park and is within easy walking distance Sefton Park.

The highly skilled and experienced team provides exceptional high quality, 24-hour nursing and residential care, for up to 56 older people whether for long or short-term care, which sets it apart of all other homes in the local area.

The home boasts a range of exceptional facilities that really make Park View feel like a home away from home, providing a number of wonderful areas for residents to sit and relax with other residents as well as plenty of space to enjoy some private time with family and friends. There is also a café area for visitors to enjoy a coffee while visiting their loved one.

Mealtimes are an important part of the day and the Chefs are passionate about providing fresh home-made meals that are both nutritionally balanced and delicious with freshly baked cakes and biscuits available throughout the day.

The home has an activity team who ensures a busy and varied activities programme, 7 days a week, designed around the needs and interests of each resident living at the home, including pet therapy, live entertainment, gardening and celebrations for special days and occasions.

Where do I start when I think about Parkview?
The staff - from the domestics, chefs, carers, nurses, front of house and management - nothing is ever too much for them, always approachable, friendly and professional. They are so supportive, and they take time to actually get to know the resident as
a person and not just a name.
The home is always presentable, clean and fresh, and that also includes the rooms. There are resident lounges, which we can use when we visit and coffee areas. A whole range of activities are offered each week - music, games, entertainment – everything that you would want for your loved one.
The food is first class, and it always smells amazing and 'tempting' when I visit.
I couldn’t recommend Parkview highly enough.

My mother is a resident at Park View Care home, sometimes she's fine but she kept asking where is my late father. Anyway I find this care home is good for my mother, but she keeps repeating where is her house and wants go home, it's a risk for her to go back to her own house. I found the carers are
nice. She kept asking why she was here, she threw water at the nurse and assaulted me. When she woke up, she cannot remember assaulting me. I was shocked.

My mum recently arrived at Park Vire Nursing Home after 4.5 years in a residential home, so is still adjusting. At 91 with Parkinson's and Vascular Dementia, this isn't surprising. The support from all staff members can't be underestimated. From the moment you step inside, the home is clean, fresh and
welcoming - like a show home - the same applies to residents' rooms, bathrooms, dining rooms and lounges. So much thought and care have been considered. Food is first class - menus are varied and very tasty, especially for my mum, who is on a special diet. Requests are considered and generally prepared to satisfy a "taste". Nursing care makes life for both my mum and myself less stressful, providing peace of mind. Would definitely recommend Park View - no brianer!

My nan has had an awful couple of years. We needed to find a place Nan could feel at home and be cared for in a kind and pro-active way. We needed nursing care and decent places that provide nursing care are pretty thin on the ground and here we are. Park View have gone above and beyond since day 1.
If I named those involved who have helped/nursed/shown caring to my nan, I wouldn't have room for anything else. They have taken the time to get to know my nan, and help her find some joy each day. She has been to parties, done activities and listens to music every day. Food is amazing too.

My uncle spent 14 months here before he passed away. As a family we cannot thank them enough for the care and compassion they showed him. From the moment he arrived the level of care and attention shown by all the staff, from the catering, cleaning, admin, carers through to the nurses and management
was exceptional and professional but more importantly, genuine. They showed kindness and warmth to my uncle and treated him with dignity and love especially at the end. They made him feel this was his home. Nothing was too much trouble for them. A perfect example of this was when my uncle passed, we asked if we could hold his wake there as this had been his home and he had made many friends there. The home agreed, and their head chef took care of every detail for us. In his own words "It's the last thing we can do for him!" Park View really is a high-quality care home, with the emphasis being on "home". We will be eternally grateful to them. Thank you.

Following a spell in hospital, my mother moved into Park View. Having previously lived independently, she found adapting to life in a care home somewhat difficult. However, all the staff at Park View ensure she was made welcome, whilst at the same time respecting her need to settle in at her own pace.
As her daughter, I am confident she is well looked after and kept safe in very pleasant and well-appointed surroundings.

The care my mum is receiving is amazing. We have found that nothing is too much trouble if there are any problems we are phoned. They have taken care of all of Mum's needs, changed her doctor and taken care of all her medication. The staff are kind and professional.
Mum, who has been underweight for
years has put on 2.5kg - it's amazing. The surroundings are exceptionally clean and the rooms are lovely. Food is fabulous.

My friend has been here since December 2022. She has no family and was just existing at home. Plenty of thought and guidance went into where I thought the best place was for her to live. And Park View Nursing Home came top of every question. Well, 5 months have passed and wow wow wow. She has a whole
new family and plenty of friends. She does all the activities which I never thought would happen. She eats like a queen. Her room is spotless. She is showered and changed every day which was not possible at home. She is a completely different person. My worries were all taken away by the staff that are there. They all interact with residents and treat them with so much kindness. She is in the best place possible. I have no worries about her at all and can rest easy knowing how well she is cared for and loved

First impressions, bright, cheery and calm. More importantly, no "nursing home smell" like many others. The staff are very friendly and showed us around. The bedrooms are big, bright, modern ensuite. The main communal areas are like living rooms and furnishings are of high quality. There's an activity
board on display and there was something for residents to engage in every day, pottery making, arts and crafts, dancing and regular musicians come and entertain. It was a breath of fresh air. There's a small room that is used on Saturday morning for anyone who wants to go to mass and they have a local doctor assigned to the home which was very reassuring. We met the manager who is full of energy, bubbly and friendly and gave us opportunities to ask questions. We have agreed a respite period for Mum to see if she settles. Watch this space!

Our relative has recently moved into Parkview. All of the staff have gone out of their way to support those involved during this transition. We received a warm welcome from day one with so much attention to detail to ensure all our relative's needs are met. The home has a happy warm feel about it which
seems to stem from the wonderful manager and is cascaded by the enthusiastic staff.
The food looks and smells delicious and there is often some lovely cake in reception.
The activities look great and there always seems to be something going on. Any questions have been and continue to be responded to in a timely manner and we have been kept informed of any needs/changes for our relative at all times.

Well-maintained building and accommodation with good activities. Rooms and communal areas are kept very clean.

Unfortunately, there was no option to rate this home any lower than one star, therefore 1 star for all. I would not recommend this home. I would express more of a view however fear it would go against content standards. Please look elsewhere when picking a home for your loved one.

Park View is wonderful in every respect! My father has been there for approx 9 months having previously been in a very poor care home.
Park View is just so lovely and provides a high-quality life experience both for my dad and for us as a family.
The key component is the staff. They are simply wonderful.
All of them! Nursing, reception, management, activities, catering, cleaning and maintenance. Every person genuinely cares! This is demonstrated on both professional and personal levels. Professionally, the standards are of the very highest level and this is so reassuring that you absolutely know your parent is so well looked after. Equally importantly, the personal side: from the moment you walk in the door, every member of staff is genuinely friendly, sympathetic and always smiling!
Park View is in a lovely location, the building and the facilities are impeccably fresh, clean, modern and welcoming - this is such a happy place made so special by the staff!

This home is beautiful to look at but sadly not run to a high enough standard! The show around and promises of care you receive doesn't happen once your loved one is in there. Understaffed and not very dementia friendly. Residents are not stimulated with appropriate daily activities apart from the TV
which isn't suitable entertainment for everyone. The only great thing in this home is the food is of a high standard and the room with en-suite. I could write a lot more but would go against policy reviews!

Take a look at other carehome.co.uk reviews and you will see the high regard residents and their families have for Park View. Comments such as I cannot thank the staff at Park View enough for the incredible care they gave my mum and The staff are all wonderful, from the cleaners and housekeepers to the carers and nursing staff will hopefully reassure anyone looking at your review. Your remark that residents are not stimulated with appropriate activities is puzzling, to say the least. A look at our Park View Facebook page will show the range of delightful events, visits, and activities that make our home a joyous place. Like virtually every other care home, Park View has at times been put under strain due to staffing levels and Covid-related sickness. Thankfully, that pressure has been eased by our successful recruitment campaign.

I am delighted to see my sister so happy and settled in Park View Care Home. The staff are so caring and kind to each individual resident. Great to see homecooked food freshly cooked and nicely presented by the excellent chef. On our visits, we are always warmly welcomed by all staff.

I cannot thank the staff at Park View enough for the incredible care they gave my mum during the 6 weeks she was with them. After a prolonged stay in hospital and subsequent stay in another care home, she had been left with weakness, poor mobility fatigue, low mood and a feeling of being neglected by
the health services. She was unable to walk any distance and barely able to get in and out of bed by herself.
As soon as I contacted Park View my faith was restored and from the moment she arrived her rehabilitation began. Each and every staff member showed their love of the job and took the time to get to know my mum. Their kindness and dedication was always present. The team there feel like a "team" and staff are happy in their work. There is a feeling of happiness, with residents and staff chatting and laughing. It's a "warm" and caring oasis.
When she went home Mum was walking independently and back to her normal self, also thanks to the amazing food served!

I have extensive knowledge and experience within the healthcare sector, having qualified as a nurse over 38 years ago. Initially, my experience was gained in a hospital setting before moving into management roles, which included Home Care Services as well as nurse recruitment, both locally and internationally.


I am a passionate and enthusiastic healthcare manager with over 20 years of experience leading and managing nursing homes for both older people as well as people with learning disabilities and mental health problems. I have a particular interest in end-of-life care and the delivery of good, holistic care.


I am enjoying working at Park View and working to ensure that the home delivers high-quality care for our residents that is truly person-centred.


During my spare time, I love being a nanny to my two grandchildren as well as travelling. I have a list of places I plan to travel, having recently visited the Galapagos Islands and have done a Safari last year.

As a qualified nurse, I joined Park View as Deputy Manager in March 2025, having previously worked in a hospital in Neurology and acute care.


During my time working in A&E in a hospital setting, I often found myself caring for elderly, frail patients and people living with dementia, where I became passionate about elderly care and ensuring they receive the best quality care to meet their needs.


I am passionate about improving standards in care homes, to ensure residents receive good quality care in a homely setting, help residents and lead fulfilled lives with meaningful activities.

I am passionate about what I do and believe that residents should receive fresh home-made nutritious meals prepared to the high standard you would expect in a restaurant. I always enjoy chatting with residents and getting feedback on what they enjoy, which helps me plan and prepare menus.


In my spare time, I play football and golf. I am in a golf society with older people and enjoy trips away with them.

Job Title: Hospitality Host Joined: 2022

I joined Park View in January 2022, following the opening of the home in November 2021. At that time the home only had 7 residents.


Prior to joining Park View I worked in Credit Control for over 17 years but, due to personal circumstances, decided I wanted a career change so, with no experience of the care sector I took the post at Park View and had to learn as I went along and get an understanding about the funding process.


I love working in the home and it has been wonderful getting to know all the families and residents over the years and understand their needs.


I spend a lot of my spare time taking my children to their various activities. I am also renovating our new home which also takes a lot of my time but I also love socialising and enjoying family time away.

Job Title: Head Housekeeper Joined: 2022

I have over 9 years’ experience working in care homes and have previously worked as a Housekeeper and Supervisor. I joined Park View 3 years ago and was delighted to be promoted to Head Housekeeper 12 months ago.


I have high standards and know how important it is that the home is always kept clean and tidy for the benefit of residents and visitors as well as for the staff team working in the home.


I enjoy working in the care sector. It is lovely chatting with the residents in the home and getting to know them.


In her spare to, she enjoys taking her children to their various activities from football to dance as well as relaxing and socialising with family and friends.
