Park View is wonderful in every respect! My father has been there for approx 9 months having previously been in a very poor care home.
Park View is just so lovely and provides a high-quality life experience both for my dad and for us as a family.
The key component is the staff. They are simply wonderful. All of them! Nursing, reception, management, activities, catering, cleaning and maintenance. Every person genuinely cares! This is demonstrated on both professional and personal levels. Professionally, the standards are of the very highest level and this is so reassuring that you absolutely know your parent is so well looked after. Equally importantly, the personal side: from the moment you walk in the door, every member of staff is genuinely friendly, sympathetic and always smiling!

Park View is in a lovely location, the building and the facilities are impeccably fresh, clean, modern and welcoming - this is such a happy place made so special by the staff!

This home is beautiful to look at but sadly not run to a high enough standard! The show around and promises of care you receive doesn't happen once your loved one is in there. Understaffed and not very dementia friendly. Residents are not stimulated with appropriate daily activities apart from the TV which isn't suitable entertainment for everyone. The only great thing in this home is the food is of a high standard and the room with en-suite. I could write a lot more but would go against policy reviews!

The vast majority of people with any connection to Park View would simply not recognise the deeply unfair picture you paint of our home.

I am delighted to see my sister so happy and settled in Park View Care Home. The staff are so caring and kind to each individual resident. Great to see homecooked food freshly cooked and nicely presented by the excellent chef. On our visits, we are always warmly welcomed by all staff.

I cannot thank the staff at Park View enough for the incredible care they gave my mum during the 6 weeks she was with them. After a prolonged stay in hospital and subsequent stay in another care home, she had been left with weakness, poor mobility fatigue, low mood and a feeling of being neglected by the health services. She was unable to walk any distance and barely able to get in and out of bed by herself.
As soon as I contacted Park View my faith was restored and from the moment she arrived her rehabilitation began. Each and every staff member showed their love of the job and took the time to get to know my mum. Their kindness and dedication was always present. The team there feel like a "team" and staff are happy in their work. There is a feeling of happiness, with residents and staff chatting and laughing. It's a "warm" and caring oasis.

When she went home Mum was walking independently and back to her normal self, also thanks to the amazing food served!

Overall Experience

I recently spent 6 very happy weeks in respite care at Park View. Having been in hospital for 2 months. I can honestly say it is extremely good. The staff are all wonderful, from the cleaners and housekeepers to the carers and nursing staff and the chefs. They are all lovely, extremely caring and friendly and they couldn't do enough to make my stay happy and comfortable and encouraged me to get strong enough to return to my home. The food was top restaurant standard and the surroundings and entertainment excellent. I was sad to leave and am very happy and relieved to know that I have somewhere so lovely to return to when necessary either for respite or permanently when the time comes. Thank you all at Park View, I feel as though I've been on holiday in a* hotel!

Overall Experience

My brother went into Park View in February on emergency respite. He was initially very emotional and withdrawn but with the help of the excellent carers, nurses and admin staff they reassured him and made him feel like he was family rather than a resident they had to look after, they are professional, caring and genuinely love what they do. The home is beautiful and really does feel like you are at your own home. Any initial teething problems due to the home being recently opened were dealt with efficiently. My brother feels settled and safe there and has made so many new friends both with the residents and safe and he thoroughly loves being there. I can't thank Park View enough.

The permanent care and nursing staff are excellent and show my mother high levels of kindness and compassion. The housekeeping staff are also excellent and always take time to chat to Mum which is really important - I can't speak highly enough of the chefs who provide excellent meals but also lots of kindness and flexibility. Finally i must mention the admin and entertainment staff who are excellent and supportive. I am a little concerned about the increasing use of agency workers as the home expands. Continuity or care is vital and not possible with agency people. I have not rated the managers, as none of the new team introduced themselves to me, so unable to comment. Happy to discuss.

My friend went into Park View in January. From the first call to the manager to date, Park View staff have been excellent in settling her into her new home. Everything at Park View has been wonderful, the staff, rooms, activities and food. I could not wish for anything more for her. Thank you, Park View Care Home.

I cannot praise the staff highly enough at Park View Care Home, nothing is too much trouble and everyone has been really helpful in making my cousin feel really welcome. She settled in really quickly thanks to the excellent care she is receiving and in her words, "everything about her move has been exceptional and has exceeded her expectations".

The home is very comfortable and has been furnished and decorated to a very high standard. Both myself and my cousin are very happy with the help, support, and care from all of the staff of Park View Care Home.

Jordan Edwards
Jordan EdwardsJob Title:Head ChefJoined: 2022

Having left school at 16, I went to Catering College where I qualified as a Chef, some 17 years ago.

I initially worked in restaurants where I gained a great deal of experience before joining Park View in January 2022, not long after it opened. I was delighted to be promoted to Head Chef in January 2025.

I am passionate about what I do and believe that residents should receive fresh home-made nutritious meals prepared to the high standard you would expect in a restaurant. I always enjoy chatting with residents and getting feedback on what they enjoy, which helps me plan and prepare menus.

In my spare time, I play football and golf. I am in a golf society with older people and enjoy trips away with them.

Elizabeth Keeley
Elizabeth KeeleyJob Title:Hospitality HostJoined: 2022

I joined Park View in January 2022, following the opening of the home in November 2021. At that time the home only had 7 residents.

Prior to joining Park View I worked in Credit Control for over 17 years but, due to personal circumstances, decided I wanted a career change so, with no experience of the care sector I took the post at Park View and had to learn as I went along and get an understanding about the funding process.

I love working in the home and it has been wonderful getting to know all the families and residents over the years and understand their needs.

I spend a lot of my spare time taking my children to their various activities. I am also renovating our new home which also takes a lot of my time but I also love socialising and enjoying family time away.

I have over 9 years’ experience working in care homes and have previously worked as a Housekeeper and Supervisor. I joined Park View 3 years ago and was delighted to be promoted to Head Housekeeper 12 months ago.

I have high standards and know how important it is that the home is always kept clean and tidy for the benefit of residents and visitors as well as for the staff team working in the home.

I enjoy working in the care sector. It is lovely chatting with the residents in the home and getting to know them.

In her spare to, she enjoys taking her children to their various activities from football to dance as well as relaxing and socialising with family and friends.
