Our family will be forever grateful for the love, compassion and dignity shown to our wonderful nanna, Pearl, by every member of staff at Evergreen. Moving a loved one into a care home is never easy, but from the moment she arrived, our worries disappeared. She was treated with warmth, respect and genuine affection every single day. The staff took the time to know her as a person and cared not only for her, but for our whole family. Seeing the same kindness shown to every resident gave us great comfort. One of our most treasured memories is how the team celebrated her 100th birthday by decorating the room, bringing a birthday cake, singing to her and making our family and friends feel so welcome. Their thoughtfulness and compassion meant the world to us. Losing our nanna has left a huge hole in our family, but we are forever grateful she spent her final months in such loving and caring hands. Thank you for everything.
Making the decision to move our Nan into a care home was incredibly difficult, but choosing Evergreen was one of the best decisions we made. From my first unannounced visit, I saw residents out of bed, socialising and enjoying activities, showing this was everyday life, not just for visitors. Although our Nan had been bedbound for years, the staff encouraged her to join in and brought joy back into her life. They even played her favourite music without anyone asking, simply because they cared. Nothing was ever too much trouble, from changing her mattress and keeping her comfortable to doing her hair and treating her with dignity. They also welcomed our family to celebrate her 100th birthday, creating memories we'll treasure forever. Our Nan was genuinely happy there, and the kindness shown to both her and our family, right through to collecting her belongings after she passed away, is something we will never forget. Thank you.
Your Nan was a much-loved member of our Evergreen family, and it was a privilege to celebrate...
My father was fast tracked to Evergreen Manor in April 2024. Our family repeatedly raised serious concerns about his care, including failures to monitor his health, poor communication, lack of hydration support, delayed medical attention, and unprofessional behaviour from some staff members. We also witnessed distressing comments and behaviour towards vulnerable residents, which we reported, but felt our concerns were not properly addressed. Some carers were kind and compassionate, however the overall experience left our family deeply upset and disappointed. I visited my father almost every day for 18 months and witnessed ongoing issues that could not be identified during a short inspection from CQC recently. Staff are naturally likely to be on their best behaviour when they know the CQC are attending and be advised that some social media reviews have been written by staff.
While we appreciate that your views remain unchanged, the...
Unfortunately my wife was only there for 3 weeks & one day before she passed away, I must pass one how good all the staff where while she was in Evergreen.
Efficient, Polite, Hard Working, always with a smile and very professional, there is nothing I can complain about.
The on site leadership by the managers again was first class, this is a very good Care Home and I hope you will continue to look after the management and all of the staff.
Before choosing Evergreen, we viewed numerous other homes, but the moment we walked in we immediately felt a welcoming and caring atmosphere. One thing that really stood out to us was being told we could visit Mum at any time day or night, which gave us great reassurance.
Mum was a resident for 18 months, and throughout her time there the staff consistently went above and beyond with the care, kindness, and respect they showed her. Nothing was ever too much trouble. There were always plenty of food choices, and a comforting cup of tea was never far away.
Every time we visited, Mum was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, with fresh clothes and clean bed linen. This high standard never changed, even when she became unable to care for herself. The team at evergreen gave my mum the best care and quality of life any family could hope for. We would not gesture to recommend. Many thanks
My friend came to this facility a few months ago.
I have always been greeted with smiles on the faces of staff, everyone makes you feel so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for fantastic carers and nurses. When i need anything or assistance for my friend, i get it.
Jenny the manager is kind, understanding and offers words of comfort, will take time to listen and offer advice. Office staff always check with me to keep me up to date.
i know my friend has made a few friends there ...
she tells she is happy.
...And that is what matters most to me.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. Your kind words mean a great deal to all of us at Evergreen. We are especially pleased to hear that your friend is settled, happy, and has formed new friendships since joining us - her wellbeing and happiness are...
My dad was at this care home for 1& months on an end of life pathway. During his time at the home, I observed issues e.g., lack of personal attention, poor communication from staff, delays in responding to his needs, hygiene concerns, or inadequate medical care. This home has recently had a CQC inspection and although deemed good I still want others to know of the matters that caused both my dad and our family unnecessary stress and worry. What made this particularly upsetting was loss of trust in the care provided. Despite raising concerns with staff, we felt that issues were not taken seriously, communication was poor, or promises were not followed through. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who wants their loved one to be treated with respect, compassion, and quality of care they deserve.
We are sorry that you feel disappointed with aspects of your father's care. End-of-life support is one of the most sensitive responsibilities we hold, and our team works hard to provide dignity, compassion, and professionalism to every resident and their family. It is important to state that the...
Staff are very good and put up with a lot from residents. Clothes are cleaned and put away. I need help with toilet facilities and I get good help from the carers. Nice place to live and good community. Activities are really good and we do all different things. Good morale. The food is very good and we get a variation on choices. My room has been decorated to my choice. We have a nice garden and sometimes have a party or BBQs. My family has always been made welcome. There is always something to do, I enjoy the dominoes and bingo. If I ever have any problems or worries I can approach staff and they will make it better for me. When there's sports on we all get together to watch. I like film night with popcorn.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is always lovely to have such positive feedback from a resident.
My sister has been a resident since September 2024 at Evergreen since having a bad fall at her previous home and now receives nursing care. I have found all staff members very polite and helpful with her needs which are quite complex. She has a lovely comfortable room and has been much happier since she has been there.
Thank you for leaving us such a lovely review. Your sister is a pleasure to look after.
My Dad has been here for about 4 months now. I am very happy that he is looked after here. Most of the staff are really friendly, helpful and patient. Especially the carers and the front desk. My Dad is not the easiest of persons, stubborn, moody, comes across rude sometimes. They all try their best with him, even though he has selective hearing too. I hope he learns to be more at peace and grateful in his last year.... Or 10!.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for Evergreen Manor.
We are so grateful as a family for the wonderful support and care we received from all staff while our wonderful mom was with you. Forever grateful for your support and kindness. Our mom was a resident with you for the last 8 months and we cannot thank you enough for all the encouragement you gave us all. You are all heroes without capes.
We were nervous at first and did not know what to expect, but the the staff and management alike were assuring and attentive. We are so, so happy with our choice and just so happy to see Dad well cared for.
In April my father was offered a place at Platinum Nursing Care on an end-of-life pathway. My father and I were shown around by a lovely member of staff who took great pride in discussing the home and where my father would stay. Consequently, we were both impressed and likewise my father's stay was first-class in all areas. My father received dignity, respect and compassion from all members of staff. Sadly my father passed away on the 15th of August. The send-off by the home and collection by the funeral directors was very special.
Thank you so much for your review, your father was a lovely gentleman, and a pleasure to care for.
Thank you to all the staff and management for providing a pleasant and safe environment for my father's last weeks in this world. Even after his passing, the serene environment they created in his room was such that my wife and I could easily say goodbye to my father. For clarity, I have not commented on the value for money section as the placement was NHS funded; however, trying to put a price on the dignity and respect we all received would be difficult to do.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. Your father was a dignified gentleman who was a pleasure to know and care for. It was our privilege to look after him and support your family through a difficult time.
From the front of office staff to the head cook and carers, they were all wonderful and went above and beyond to accommodate.
Thank you so much for your review, your sister was a pleasure to care for, such a lovely family, thanks again.
I find that this care home is an excellent residence for my mother. All of the staff are extremely caring and treat my mother with dignity. We as a family visit on a regular basis and nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff. We are always greeted with a positive manner, clearly covering all of the requirements that are required to visit the site. Everywhere in the home is always clean and tidy and we feel very pleased that my mother is being looked after so well in later life.
Thank you so much for your review, your mum is a pleasure to care for.
I have noticed that the premises are kept spotlessly clean and have never experienced any obnoxious odours.
Meals, which are prepared on site, are tailored to individuals' requirements, are well presented, varied and residents are offered a choice the preceding day.
Residents have the opportunity to take part occasionally in religious services.
Residents are sometimes entertained by visiting entertainers or have Bingo sessions all of which are very popular.
Looking after your lovely wife is a pleasure and its always a delight to welcome you for a visit.
I have found the staff and management very kind and helpful. They all loved my sister. She sadly passed last Friday 24/02/23. I am eternally grateful for her care.
Thank you for your lovely review. Looking after your sister was an absolute pleasure. We will always remember her winning "two gold medals" at the commonwealth games and having no idea what they were for, but it made her very happy. She was a delight and we loved your visits. You are always welcome to come back and see us.
Platinum Nursing Care provided care for my mother that was of such a high standard. Mum was always treated with respect, kindness and dignity. The staff, without exception, treated the family with kindness. Platinum Nursing Care is a happy, clean and caring environment, which is well-led and has a loving ethos. Thank you so much, Platinum Nursing Care.
Thank you for your kind words. Your mum was a delight to look after and we were privileged to be able to care for her and your family.
I would recommend Platinum Nursing Care to everyone who needs really good professional care.
Thank you for your lovely review, Kevin. We're pleased that we were able to give your mum the care that she needed, and the support to you and your family, even though it was only for 24 hours.
