My elderly mother sadly had a fall in September 2000 which resulted in a hospital stay (which she nearly didn't survive) followed by over 2 years in Platinum Nursing Care. During her last few years, Mum was no longer the active, capable person I had previously known and she required a lot of care. I must say that I always found the staff at Platinum very kind and helplful to me, other members of the family and, of course, my mother. Mum died at the end of 2022 and I miss her greatly but I'm comforted to know that she was well cared for during those last couple of years at Platinum. My niece, who is a carer by profession, visited mum at Platinum on a weekly basis (Covid allowing) and also believed Mum was being looked after well. My thanks to all the staff involved in caring for my mum.
Thank you for your kind words, John. Your mum was a lovely lady and is missed by everyone who knew her. She was a delight to care for and we were privileged to know her and your family.
My mother was at Platinum Nursing Care home for over two years and I was highly impressed. The genuine care from the staff for the residents was evident and my mother was treated with dignity and respect as well as kindness. Any concerns were dealt with quickly and nothing was too much trouble. The home was clean and fresh and the meals were healthy and nutritious. Even during the pandemic, the staff did their very best to help us maintain contact with our mother through phone calls, video calls and window visits. The staff also provided activities for the residents, such as craft sessions and games of bingo and the residents were encouraged to interact with each other. There was a garden area where she could sit outside during good weather and admire the flowers that she loved so much. I would highly recommend Platinum Nursing Care.
All of the staff miss her and send our best wishes to you and all of your extended family.
At all times staff were helpful and kind. Providing feedback and updating me on his condition. Everything was done to make my dad as comfortable as possible.
The nursing staff were attentive and met his needs, calling the doctor when needed and following medical advice. Thank you all for everything.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Your Father was a pleasure to care for and we hope that we made his last days as comfortable as possible.
I was only at Platinum for a few weeks, I was always treated with care and dignity. The staff were very friendly, caring and supportive. The food was good and drinks were always readily available.
Thank you for your review John, it was a pleasure to have you staying with us. Please call in for a cup of tea if you're passing. The residents keep asking about you. We wish you all the best.
Our mother was admitted into Platinum Nursing CarePlatinum Nursing Care home during May. she was already poorly at this time and sadly one month later she passed away. During this period of time the management were fist class in every situation and the nurses and personal care was of a very high standard.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a pleasure to be able to look after your Mum, even for the short time she was with us at Platinum Nursing Care. She was extremely lucky to have such a supportive and caring family around her who clearly loved her dearly.
The care home is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. You're treated with respect. The residents are well taken care of and with dignity, we cannot ask for more.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. Activities and forms of entertainment are one of the things that we are really concentrating on and hopefully starting this month the will be a lot more on offer.
My brother and I are so grateful for the love, care and attention that was given to mum during her final days. From the moment she arrived there from the hospital, the quality of care was excellent and the support, given to all of her family, was very much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble and every staff member had an extremely professional caring attitude. The manager and staff were always approachable and helpful, and the liaison with the medical team was first class.
The care home was well maintained, and spotlessly clean, and we were encouraged to bring family photos etc to make mum’s room more personal. We will always be thankful for the way they cared for mum, treating her with respect and dignity until the very end.We have no hesitancy in recommending Platinum Nursing Care Ltd.
Thank you so much for your very kind review. Your mum was a delight to care for and we were privileged to be able to support and look after her and your family in her final days.
Dad was welcomed with genuine warmth and, during his time at Platinum Nursing Care Ltd, received excellent personal care, attention and was treated respectfully. We found the managers and team of staff to be very friendly, professional and supportive. The nursing care and liaison with medical partners was first class. The two-way communication and opportunity for safe visiting on a daily basis, and at times to suit us, was a real comfort.
The facilities on the wing - and specifically dad's room, the bathrooms and the resident's lounge, were all nicely decorated, modern, well maintained and spotlessly clean. We were able to personalise dad's room and access the day lounge, and all this helped dad to settle. We really appreciated the quality of care that dad received at Platinum Nursing Care Ltd, and we would be happy to recommend them based on our personal experience.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Your dad made an impact on all of the staff from the day he arrived, as he was such a lovely, genuine man. It was a privilege to care for him, and he will be remembered fondly by all the team.
My dad has only been in this nursing home for the last month so I can't really know or say a lot about his care yet. I have ticked excellent for the things I've seen and good for the things I don't really know. Hopefully, when he's been here longer and I can come more often, I can tick excellent for everything because what I have witnessed so far I am really impressed and happy with.
Thank you for your kind words. Your Dad is a pleasure to look after and has settled in well to Platinum Nursing Care. He is enjoying being in the lounge with the other residents and having visits from you and your family.
Platinum Nursing Care home provided excellent care for Dad. The staff really do care for each person - I was so impressed by them. Dad's food was of really good quality. His room was spotlessly clean, as were his bedsheets and clothes, and the house smelt clean throughout. It is peaceful there as well, with no alarms going on continually unanswered. The management was approachable and helpful. The nursing care he received cleared up health problems he had come in with; they do things properly. I am thankful for Platinum Nursing Care for taking Dad in when he had complex care needs, and they provided amazing care, so much so, he improved. Making care home decisions is very difficult, but for us, Platimum treated our dad as you would want, with dignity and respect, and we are very thankful for them and highly recommend them.
Thank you so much for your review. Your Dad was very poorly when he arrived, but had a personality and will to improve, so we had a wonderful 8 months caring for him. We realise that for anyone, choosing a nursing home is a difficult decision and we are pleased that we were able to fulfil your expectations.
My aunt was moved into the Platinum Nursing Care home after a short stay in hospital, she had a bowel tumour and was very frail. Throughout her stay until her recent death I found the home and all its staff treated my aunt with respect and kindness. Communication was always first rate and even with Covid 19 they offered safe and convenient visiting for me, I could not praise them higher.
Thank you for your kind review, Stephen. Your aunt was a lovely lady and it was a pleasure to be able to look after her for her final few weeks. She had so much to say about her family and life and we were blessed to have known her, even for a short while.
My mother-in-law was admitted to Platinum after a long stay in hospital during which we had seen her deteriorate to a point we felt she had given up. She was refusing to eat, refusing physio and in the space of a few weeks had become bed-bound and doubly incontinent. She lay in her bed barely talking and with absolutely no interest in anything. Since moving into this care home, she has gone from strength to strength, now fully engaging in conversation, watching TV and showing an interest in everything. She's eating well, no longer needing tube feeding and she is keen to get on with physio. We are amazed at her improvement, which can only be attributed to the excellent care she is now receiving. She herself describes it 'like being in a hotel' and she has only positive things to say about the home and staff. Of course, it is a great relief for us that she has settled so well, and we are grateful for the excellent communication from staff, who present as both professional and caring.
Your review reaffirms the hard work and dedication our staff put in every day to ensure that our residents get the best care possible and are encouraged to build their strength and enjoy life again.
Mum-in-Law (92) moved here in January 2021. We became concerned regarding the home's level of care in the following areas: (a) Maintaining the ability of Mum to continue her toilet routine with dignity, (b) Adequate provision of GP prescribed pain relief when concerns were raised by family members of how much pain mum was visibly in, (c) Providing appropriately prepared food and assistance in eating, as mum had no teeth, was unable to hold cutlery, and needed a lot of encouragement and assistance in eating, (d) Continuing to provide GP prescribed food supplement drinks, (e) Maintaining the little mobility and independence mum still had, (f) Providing adequate mental stimulation and engagement to maintain awareness, social skills and minimise dementia deterioration (g) Adequately responding to our concerns, choosing, in the end, to keep suggesting we move her elsewhere if we were unhappy. (h) Accuracy of daily care records. Sadly, Mum passed away in a hospice at the end of April.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry you felt it was not a good one. All concerns are taken very seriously and, a full investigation undertaken. It is always challenging to persuade anyone living with Dementia, to do what is necessary to help them remain independent. Until a...
My mum was admitted to Platinum Nursing Care in October 2020 following a stay in hospital. She became a permanent resident in December 2020. Mum has a number of health issues resulting from a major stroke in 2017. We were apprehensive of mum going into a home, particularly one which we were unfamiliar with and had not got a chance to visit beforehand. We need not have worried, though. Before mum was admitted to Platinum, she was very weak, soiling the bed, prone to challenging behaviour and eating next to nothing. Now she is getting the specialist care that she so needed and is a different person. That is all thanks to the wonderful care she receives from the staff at Platinum. She has three meals a day and snacks, has daily chats with the staff, has her toilet needs met and has her rosy cheeks and sense of humour back. With the care they have given to mum over the past six months, I would have no hesitation in recommending Platinum to anyone considering a nursing home for their parent.
Thank you so much for your kind review. Your Mum has certainly gone from strength to strength and has her personality back! It's a pleasure to care for her and we're glad you chose us for her home.
My mum moved into Platinum Nursing Care after a stay in hospital (June 2020). Mum was diagnosed with advanced vascular dementia. Mum has settled into the home and is eating well and enjoying the activities with the other residents. The manager and team are all caring, kind and professional, they keep me informed with any changes or updates to my mum's care. My mum is safe and protected in these difficult times, the manager and the team all wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to maintain necessary infection control measures during the current COVID-19 pandemic. I am very grateful for the excellent care my mum is receiving at the home.
Thank you very much for your kind review. Your Mum is always a pleasure to look after and we are so happy that she has settled into life at Platinum Nursing Care.
My mother has been a resident for a few months now, I would like to thank the manager, the nurses, carers and all the auxiliary staff for looking after my mum with the dignity and respect she deserves. An excellent home. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful at all times.
Thank you for the lovely review. We are happy to have met your expectations and are thoroughly enjoying looking after your Mum.
My uncle was moved into Platinum Nursing Care after a stay in hospital. I had never heard of this care home before and was on edge about it. I was proved very wrong and my uncle is really happy and content, it was his birthday on Sunday and we were allowed to see him at a distance. I have not seen him look so well and happy in a very long time, the nurse that sat with him all the time whilst we were there was brilliant with my uncle and ourselves. It really has put our minds at rest knowing he is being so well looked after now. I would fully recommend Platinum Nursing Care.
We hope to see you again soon when we are able to allow families in to visit our residents.
When my mum arrived at Platinum she was extremely frail and very ill. Her current very gradual recovery is solely down to the professionalism and intensive caring from the manager and her care team. They treat my mum with kindness, dignity, compassion, respect and literally cater for all her medical, nourishment and emotional needs. Whenever I've had to speak to the manager and staff, they have been extremely approachable, kind and very helpful. I take great comfort in the knowledge knowing that my mum is receiving first-class care at Platinum.
We look forward to meeting you when we are able to open the home to visitors.
My mother was moved to Platinum Care Home following a broken hip and a stay in hospital. Mum has advanced dementia and can have challenging behaviour at times. The move was difficult for us as the hospital was not allowing visitors and neither can the care home, due to Covid-19, we have not seen Mum for a good few weeks now. The manager and her team have made the transition easier for myself and my sister, they have sent us photos of Mum and are always happy to chat about her care on the phone, having access to her care plan has also been lovely. The support we as a family have received has been excellent, Mum is eating well and looks settled, no more challenging behaviour either which is reassuring for us. We are grateful for the excellent care.
We hope that we will be able to open our doors to relatives in the near future, but until then, we will continue to send the photos and keep the lines of communication well and truly open.
