My father was moved to Oldbury House at the beginning of January after a long stay in hospital. From the moment he arrived he has received excellent care from staff who are compassionate and thoughtful, and take the time to consider the individual needs of the resident. This understanding has led to
my father settling in incredibly quickly and he himself has commented that he is well and enjoys the food. That said, it is apparent that the home would benefit from some investment to improve some of the facilities.


The activities that the home arranges have been fabulous, and I have seen how well the residents respond, and that is down to the enthusiasm and understanding that the staff have with their residents. This goes across all staff groups as well and I have been so pleased with how welcoming and accommodating they all are. This has been the best move I could have asked for and that is down to the management of the home and the staff who personalise care and are all first rate.

Staff have all taken their time to get to know Nan and the family as visitors, they are aware of her likes and dislikes and show genuine interest in her. There is a clear improvement in her since being there. They are quick to respond to any health/medical concerns and I am confident they advocate for
her needs as we would. It would be nice to see variation in activities and use of the building outside of just the lounge. It is also reassuring to know that the manager also knows nan and her needs and wishes.

My wife was very ill for 12 years and I cared for her all those years, however late last year the Health Authority said unfortunately it was to difficult to carry on looking after my wife, so the decision was made for her to be placed into Evergreen Manor, I was very reluctant on the decision, so one
week before she was due to go in I visited Evergreen Manor, within 15 minutes of entering it I was very comfortable on what I was seeing, so I agreed.
Unfortunately my wife was only there for 3 weeks & one day before she passed away, I must pass one how good all the staff where while she was in Evergreen.
Efficient, Polite, Hard Working, always with a smile and very professional, there is nothing I can complain about.


The on site leadership by the managers again was first class, this is a very good Care Home and I hope you will continue to look after the management and all of the staff.

All staff are trained and amazing reception is met before the footsteps up to the front entrance, my life is surrounded by anxiety but im restassured knowing my Farther is safe and well looked after he is a type 1 diabetic and i know when i have stressed alot it can get confusing my mind is settled
knowing Michelle is keeping her workers in check and the check being said here is most likley a polite hello and how are you. They are secind to n9ne a loving warm home of family and care my heart goes out to every resident and worker as we are all warm and cosy knowing family are always there with a touch of a button hands on the golden buzzers because it is 10 out of 10 a lovley nursing home thank you and godbless to the nurses and healthcare assistants compliments to the chef and addiring spirit of this review section godbless from Robert Son love and respect

Before choosing Evergreen, we viewed numerous other homes, but the moment we walked in we immediately felt a welcoming and caring atmosphere. One thing that really stood out to us was being told we could visit Mum at any time day or night, which gave us great reassurance.


Mum was a resident for 18

months, and throughout her time there the staff consistently went above and beyond with the care, kindness, and respect they showed her. Nothing was ever too much trouble. There were always plenty of food choices, and a comforting cup of tea was never far away.


Every time we visited, Mum was clean, comfortable, and well cared for, with fresh clothes and clean bed linen. This high standard never changed, even when she became unable to care for herself. The team at evergreen gave my mum the best care and quality of life any family could hope for. We would not gesture to recommend.

I moved my mum into Riverdale Court care home on the 7th January 2026, it has been a long road, however since moving mum here i have found that she has a much happier demeanor,
The staff are very caring , professional, courteous and friendly at all times, no job how big or small is too much,
The carers,
office/ cleaning staff and owners have taken the time to get to know and understand my mums needs, and are keeping her comfortable and safe.
before moving my mum into Riverdale Court i could never relax and spent a great deal of my time visiting and tending to her myself, not any more ,, now i know she is under constant supervision and care, with all her needs being met,,
I would like to thank all the staff for their constant help and i can totally recommend the services and comforts in this home from home facility ....

I've worked in care over 30 years, and Evergreen Manor is a fabulous home, run with love and care..
My friend came to this facility a few months ago.
I have always been greeted with smiles on the faces of staff, everyone makes you feel so welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for fantastic carers
and nurses. When i need anything or assistance for my friend, i get it.
Jenny the manager is kind, understanding and offers words of comfort, will take time to listen and offer advice. Office staff always check with me to keep me up to date.
i know my friend has made a few friends there ...
she tells she is happy.
...And that is what matters most to me.

Since my mum moved into this care home, I have been extremely happy with the care she is receiving. The improvement compared to her previous care home is noticeable already. The staff are kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, and they have taken the time to get to know my mum and her needs.
She appears
much more settled and comfortable, which is a huge relief for our family. It is reassuring to know that she is being looked after so well in a safe and supportive environment. My mum - Heather, moved into residential care at the beginning of July 2025.
She has settled well into the home and the care has been faultless since.
When I visit, all the staff are friendly and take time to say hello etc.
Mum appears to be being well looked after and appears happy etc.
She sits
happily in the communal area when I visit.
Her room is always clean and tidy, cloths washed and looked after.
The maintenance team put up pictures and display frames - they completed a good job abc made mums room more homely.

Living in New Zealand it is hard when a parent has to go into care in UK. Before during and after my visit to spend time with my mother I can only say all the staff have been amazing, with a special mention to the events team who have done everything to help keep me in touch and went above and beyond
for mums 80th birthday. I feel fully informed of my mother's situation and am confident of the care she receives. While the furniture and decor could do with updating the home is clean and safe, which is the key. Would be a 5 star review if the social page had been maintained. This was a fantastic medium for communicating with family what our loved ones were up to and I would love to see it reinstated if possible

Staff at the Grange are very caring towards my husband (who has dementia) and to myself when I visit. There is always a happy atmosphere in the lounge area and staff engage the residents in a variety of activities, such as bingo, games, singing and crafts. The residents are well cared for, they are
always clean and well dressed. My husband is diabetic and his dietary needs are well catered for. His room is always clean and tidy. It is very reassuring to know that he is safe and being well looked after and that the staff will contact me if they have any concerns about him.

My dad was at this care home for 1& months on an end of life pathway. During his time at the home, I observed issues e.g., lack of personal attention, poor communication from staff, delays in responding to his needs, hygiene concerns, or inadequate medical care. This home has recently had a CQC inspection
and although deemed good I still want others to know of the matters that caused both my dad and our family unnecessary stress and worry. What made this particularly upsetting was loss of trust in the care provided. Despite raising concerns with staff, we felt that issues were not taken seriously, communication was poor, or promises were not followed through. I cannot recommend this place to anyone who wants their loved one to be treated with respect, compassion, and quality of care they deserve.

While we always reflect on feedback to identify opportunities to learn, we cannot agree with the suggestion that the care delivered was lacking in respect or compassion. We remain confident in the professionalism of our staff and in the standards of care provided at our home.
