Prestwood Lodge

Our Aunt spent a couple of years at Prestwood. The love and care she received undoubtedly extended her life and we are all very grateful for the dignified and comfortable end of her life. We would both be very happy to see out our final years there, just hope it's not fir a long time yet! Thank you

My husband was a resident at Prestwood Lodge Care for 10 months. I cannot fault either management or staff, their help and care for my husband were second to none, also for myself - the welcome cup of tea on arrival. My family are aware that if I need to go into care. Prestwood Lodge is where I wish to go!

My mum stayed at the lodge for a weeks respite whilst I was away on holiday . The staff really did put my mind at rest that mum would be well looked after. She said every single member of staff was very caring and so kind, she said the food was plentiful and very tasty. She also enjoyed the activities and especially the singer. She's already booked in for another week soon thank you

All staff are kind and caring - I genuinely believe Prestwood choose their staff carefully as they all give 100% to the job . We are kept up to date on any health issues, doctors visits or any falls etc mom may have. I'm sure it can be a tough job at times but staff always have a smile on their face and always have time for every resident. Our experience of Prestwood Lodge is positive in every way. We are happy for mom to spend her final years in such a lovely environment. Thank you.

All of the staff were very good. My father-in-law was never an easy person to live with or to be near. I would like to give a special thank you to Joy who helped greatly, especially when costs were transferred to social services. My only complaint was the exorbitant cost, which never got to the staff.

We can't recommend Prestwood enough and we will forever be grateful to all the staff. They really do go above and beyond and treat every resident with dignity, respect and love.

My mother has been a resident for 4years and remains very happy since moving there. The staff are second to none, nothing is too much trouble and they are very patient with my mother and from what i have witnesed with all the other residents aswell. There is a comprehensive activities programme every week, mom particulary likes the quizes, and very importantly the church service that is offered most weeks. I feel that it keeps her mind as active as possible. There is a good choice of food offered, and i know that mom enjoys what she can manage. My brother and I are very happy with knowing that she is being well cared for 24hours a day.

My mother has been a resident at Prestwood Lodge for several years, and in all that time I really feel that she has received the most excellent care in a very well run establishment with the most caring staff. Myself, and my brother are totally happy with her situation, knowing how well she is cared for.

Being well dressed is important to my mum and she always looks lovely and smart when I visit.

I would highly recommend Prestwood Lodge to take care of your loved ones.

The cleanliness of the home is outstanding, as you could expect from a high range hotel. My Mum has also commented on how tasty each meal is, along with a varied menu.

Mum had an excellent respite stay at Prestwood, following a period of illness. The quality of care was fantastic. Staff are kind , caring and responsive. The home is warm and inviting with very good food which really supported mums recovery. We would not hesitate to recommend Prestwood to others.

Prestwood Lodge have been a beacon of support in what would otherwise have been a difficult period to cope with. From the day my Great Aunt was admitted from hospital all the staff have been kind, caring and attentive and always willing to go the extra mile. The residence itself is well kept, warm and inviting and gives home comforts which I'm sure help to ease the transition. The staff are second to none and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I'm not sure how I would have dealt with her passing if it weren't for them. She was treated with the utmost respect and love in her final days, as were we and for this we are forever grateful. Thank you to everyone at Prestwood for the role you have played in our lives for the last two years, it will never be forgotten.

In any event I am grateful that she spent the last months of her life being so well looked after and happy at Prestwood Lodge.

I can't thank Prestwood Lodge staff for all the care they gave my dear friend, and all the support they gave me going through a difficult time. On entering Prestwood Lodge you feel like you are arriving in a four star hotel. The surroundings, decor and ambience are first class. The transition of moving into the Lodge was so supportive, within no time my friend and myself felt we had been staying/visiting the Lodge for a long time. With the welcome, professional staff you soon felt at ease in the Lodge. Communial rooms are comfortable and airy. You feel like you are in the countryside, which is handy to get to. Bedrooms are functional, bright and roomy. The Lodge is spotlessly clean, food is varied, well cooked and served in their beautiful restaurant. There are plenty of activities if you want to take part, they welcome visitors as to take part as well. In all the staff were professional, friendly, happy and so caring. Thank you so much all of you.

On the 3rd July 2025, my 102-year-old mum passed away peacefully despite the love and care given to her by the extraordinary staff at Prestwood Lodge Care Home. In January 2025, we had originally taken my mum in for 2 weeks' respite. The first day there I was feeling nervous, apprehensive and had the feeling I was letting my mum down as I'd said I would never put her in a home. However, the staff were wonderful, kind and caring, and during the last ten days, my daughter and I spent as much time as we could there, and the staff went above and beyond the call of duty. They 'carried us' with their kind words and uplifting attitudes - we shared tears and laughter! It was the best decision we made, not only for my mum but as a family. I feel I will never be able to repay them for the extraordinary care they gave us. Bless each and every one of them!

My Mum spent a year at Prestwood, until she was hospitalised in May 2025. She was discharged back to the care of Prestwood, but was unfortunately admitted back to hospital a couple of days later. She was not well enough to return and had to have Nursing care after that.

Mum had the most wonderful year here. She was so loved and cared for by all the staff who are part of the amazing family that is Prestwood Lodge. Mum left with so many happy memories.

My sister, brother and I, thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, for caring so completely for our Mum, and for the incredible support you gave us, too.

My Mum passed away in December 24 but was a resident for 3 years at Prestwood. She was offered very good overall care and enjoyed numerous activities and entertainment throughout her residency. All staff were very kind, thoughtful and attentive to my Mum and to us as her family. In particular, at the time of her passing, which is always a difficult time, the greatest of empathy and end of life care was given to her and us. We can't fault this home and would recommend to anyone. Thank you Prestwood.
