Primrose House is a state-of-the-art residential care home, providing 24-hour care for up to 30 residents. A fully-trained, experienced care team provides long and short term care and respite breaks.

Overlooking the North Devon coastline, the home offers private en-suite bedrooms, all of which have a television and ‘own-home’ style front doors. The stylish décor is designed to offer the best visual assistance to those who are visually impaired or living with dementia, while furnishings are tailored to the needs of those with dementia and provide higher falls safety than regular furniture.

A number of communal areas are available at the home, including three lounge areas, a dining room and a garden. The home also offers various facilities and activities, such as a library, a visiting hairdresser, arts and crafts, and music.

Primrose House provides a safe and happy environment for its residents, with 24-hour continuous Heat-Exchange ventilation, underfloor heating, and a sprinkler fire safety system in place throughout the whole building.

The care home is kept clean and tidy by the cleaning staff who are all wonderful. The care quality is brilliant every single carer treats all the residents with dignity and respect and the resident's safety is their top priority. Every single carer works extremely hard every day they are all very kind
and thoughtful of all people they encounter in this line of work.

I know the staff have struggled with COVID and lost staff members, but all in all, Mum has been happy in the home.
The food is good, she is safe and well looked after. Activities are starting up again and there is a full weekly list now.

I have been planning to move my mum to a Devon care home for some time. Primrose House came highly recommended and throughout the admissions process (which has been complicated by Covid) I have found the staff to be very friendly, supportive, efficient and helpful. The manager has really gone the extra
mile and, although Mum has only been there a short time, it is clear that all the staff are working hard to help her to settle in and to address her individual needs. I feel very happy that I have made a good choice for Mum.

I know my relative is a very difficult patient, but the staff are very patient with her; she does not mix well and spends most of her time in her room. She seems to be quite content at Primrose House. The staff always contact me if there is a problem.

I am so happy with the care and support that my sister receives at Primrose House. My sister is so happy there and looks extremely well. She has been in the care system for three years now, and she looks better than she has for years. Clearly, the care that she is benefitting from has done wonders for

I only met a few staff, four days actually before we were not permitted to visit due to the coronavirus. They all seemed highly efficient, starting with the management right down to the cooks and housekeeping staff. Since then, at all times, I am able to speak about my husband by phone, I visit from
the front door. I cannot ask for more.

The care my mother is receiving is very comprehensive. She has late-stage Alzheimers and is well looked after. She is fed, bathed and sat with. The care that she got when her husband had died was very compassionate. I have a good relationship with the home and the carers, who always remember who I am.

In my mother's last days, certain staff were very caring, but considering Primrose House had been her home for the last five years, it was very disappointing that the manager (who had expressed a wish to pay her respects at her funeral) and not one member of staff or the manager were present at her
funeral was very disappointing to her family, even though they had all said she was adorable and would be greatly missed.

Primrose House not only is of extremely high standard in its furnishings and cleanliness, it is also of the highest standard of care.
The staff go over, above and beyond in their care not only for residents but the relations of residents.
We as a family cannot praise Primrose House and it's staff

Whenever I visit my husband I am always made welcome and offered a refreshment. It feels like 'home' as opposed to 'a home'.
I have always found it clean and bright and welcoming. The carers always seem to be interacting with the residents when it is suitable. They are always approachable and will
help with any queries.

We have always been exceptionally pleased with my mother's care home. The staff are exemplary and show kindness and compassion to my mum. She is really well looked after and is treated with both empathy and dignity. We feel extremely fortunate to have found this home.

Mum is very well cared for. She is clean and tidy and very well fed. If the team have any medical queries they don't hesitate to call the doctors. The staff are very friendly and the home is always clean and tidy. My only problem is the laundry quite often gets mixed up. It's not nice seeing you loved
one in someone else's clothes.
