I am kept informed about Mum, I can highly recommend Primrose House, it is well run with excellent care for the residents in my eyes being their number one priority.
The staff are professional, caring and smartly turned out, which is important and again reassures relatives.

We have been more than satisfied with the care given to my aunt. She has received individual care, aided to take part in activities and been included in trips with other residents. Visiting arrangements have been adapted to suit our needs. Communication with Primrose House has been good, emails being sent when appropriate and phone calls for more urgent issues. Staff have been able to arrange transport and carer when we have been unable to attend hospital appointments and feedback has been given. We would recommend this care home for the care shown to those with dementia as well as physical needs.

My mum has been in the home now for 5 years, she has been extremely well looked after and I am very pleased with the standard of care. The only thing that does bother me is the different staff coming and going we just get to know someone and the next time we go they have left.

Everyone at Primrose House are very helpful and kind. The food has greatly improved over the last few months. Although there has not been any entertainment for a very long time, I have been informed a new lady will be starting shortly to provide this.

I have been planning to move my mum to a Devon care home for some time. Primrose House came highly recommended and throughout the admissions process (which has been complicated by Covid) I have found the staff to be very friendly, supportive, efficient and helpful. The manager has really gone the extra mile and, although Mum has only been there a short time, it is clear that all the staff are working hard to help her to settle in and to address her individual needs. I feel very happy that I have made a good choice for Mum.

I know my relative is a very difficult patient, but the staff are very patient with her; she does not mix well and spends most of her time in her room. She seems to be quite content at Primrose House. The staff always contact me if there is a problem.

I am so happy with the care and support that my sister receives at Primrose House. My sister is so happy there and looks extremely well. She has been in the care system for three years now, and she looks better than she has for years. Clearly, the care that she is benefitting from has done wonders for her. A big thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I only met a few staff, four days actually before we were not permitted to visit due to the coronavirus. They all seemed highly efficient, starting with the management right down to the cooks and housekeeping staff. Since then, at all times, I am able to speak about my husband by phone, I visit from the front door. I cannot ask for more.

The care my mother is receiving is very comprehensive. She has late-stage Alzheimers and is well looked after. She is fed, bathed and sat with. The care that she got when her husband had died was very compassionate. I have a good relationship with the home and the carers, who always remember who I am.

Good afternoon V H. Thank you for taking the time to write and post this review of your experience with our care team and care home at Primrose House in Westward Ho! Bideford, North Devon. It's always really nice for our care team to be recognised publicly in this way for their hard work. Kindest regards, Nathan.
In my mother's last days, certain staff were very caring, but considering Primrose House had been her home for the last five years, it was very disappointing that the manager (who had expressed a wish to pay her respects at her funeral) and not one member of staff or the manager were present at her funeral was very disappointing to her family, even though they had all said she was adorable and would be greatly missed.
The staff go over, above and beyond in their care not only for residents but the relations of residents.
We as a family cannot praise Primrose House and it's staff and management highly enough.

We have always been exceptionally pleased with my mother's care home. The staff are exemplary and show kindness and compassion to my mum. She is really well looked after and is treated with both empathy and dignity. We feel extremely fortunate to have found this home.
Hello S G. Thank you for taking the time to write and publish this review of your experience with our Primrose House Care Home in Bideford, Westward Ho. It's great to hear that you are so happy with the home and in particular our care team, who work there and that your mum is happy and well looked after.
Mum is very well cared for. She is clean and tidy and very well fed. If the team have any medical queries they don't hesitate to call the doctors. The staff are very friendly and the home is always clean and tidy. My only problem is the laundry quite often gets mixed up. It's not nice seeing you loved one in someone else's clothes.
